This feels like full circle.
It's like Nelly is responding to "I'm Like A Bird", one of her first hits, with her latest work, "Phoenix", which is that same bird, reborn in flames.
In the former, she talked about not having a home and flying away, and not being tied down. With the rebirth of the free "bird", she must first tether herself back to her home, and tend to the things she left behind, then rise up again as a phoenix.
