She rose to prominence with her debut album "Whoa, Nelly!" in 2000, featuring the hit singles "I'm Like a Bird" and "Turn Off the Light," with the former earning her a Grammy Award. Nelly has such a beautiful and free spirit and wonderful voice. I'm also Portuguese and so proud to have seen her work with legendary producer Timbaland on the song Say it right. What a Diva! Back in the day when she once met with our president at the time Jorge Sampaio in front of the cameras she said in Portuguese something very informal and similar to: "Hey man wassup??!!!" Lol it was hilarious.
