This was my high school senior's class song in 1960. It was special for several reasons in that we were the last graduating class of my high school Buckner Orphans Home in Dallas. There were 16 of us and all of us headed off to points unknown at age 18, most of us had no family while some had some aunts and uncles. Now I am 80, have lived a full life and this song played a major influence all through the years. I walked with God as He pointed me in the ways He wanted me to go. Half my class has passed on, and the other 7 are all in Texas while I am in a neighboring state. Every time I hear this song, it brings tears to my eyes, and no one seems to do it any better than Andre Rieu. It's a great song for anyone as a guide to your life. It worked for my high school class starting 62 years ago.
The older gray haired man wiping his eyes at the end did me in. I felt exactly the same when I listened to this. What a breathtaking performance of this song.

I am part of my beloved Liverpool FC family. This song means everything to us. The 97 the families and our 97 who watch over us. You'll Never Walk Alone is our family song, we are family at Liverpool FC. There is no such thing as strangers talking in the pub or in Anfield. Because this means more as Klopp rightly says. Shankly said . The socialism I believe in isn't really politics. It is a way of living. It is humanity. I believe the only way to live and to be truly successful is by collective effort, with everyone working for each other, everyone helping each other, and everyone having a share of the rewards at the end of the day. That might be asking a lot, but it's the way I see football and the way I see life.
I'm an American and I'm a Liverpool supporter. When we play the 12:30 match, I'm up at 4 am to get ready to watch at 4:30. I watch them all. Whether it's a league match, FA Cup, Carabao, you name it. The mark of the great song is when it can be performad in different styles, by different people, and it sounds fresh and new. One thing i always appreciate about your music is now you don't "over sing". You don't pierce our eardrums, going up and down the scale, trying to hit every note you're capable of, just to show it off, just because you can. You use your voice to bring out the beauty of the song. I think that is so important and something lacking in many singers today. Lovely job, as always.🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

Millions of people love this kind of music so very much, so Mr. Rieu cannot be wrong! Thanks a lot!

It's a cold windy day in Barrie, ON Canada and as we grieve our great loss of people in Nova Scotia while still isolated in our homes, it is Andre that provides escape and hope. Blessed to have access to UA-cam.
From the wonderful musical Carousel, I have lost count of the number of times I have seen it at the theatre, but it's amazing and moving. I cry ever time I hear this song, so beautiful, thank you so much. xx
TheEyeOfOdin1its FC liverpools main theme. But it was originally sang by Gerry and the Pacemakers. But the song has alot of meaning for many football fans. But this version is very different and im not quite sure why these people are so emotitional about it.
It's actually originally from the musical 'Carousel', sung to comfort a character after the death of her husband, and then reprised at the end with the husband telling his wife he loves her, so it means a lot to people who have lost someone close to them :)
TheEyeOfOdin1 This is probably on Liberation Day. Over 8,000 American soldiers died in Operation Market Garden in the winter of 1944-45 to liberate the Netherlands. The graves of the US, Canadian, and British soldiers buried in cemeteries there are adopted by Dutch families who mind the grave, decorate it, and keep alive the memory of the soldier they have adopted. It is even the custom to keep a portrait of "their" American soldier in a place of honor in their home. Annually, on "Liberation Day," memorial services are held for "the men who died to liberate Holland." The day concludes with a concert. This is probably that concert.
I love every song Andre Rieu play’s on his violin and the music he conducts. He’s absolutely amazing. What an absolute extraordinary talent and gift he’s been given!❤️❤️
Also thank you to Gerry and the pacemakers who gave the song, a second life. The song was sadly forgotten about and unknown by most until they brought it to number 1, with their revamped version.
This song means so much to me; it was sung at our wedding 50 years ago by my sister. When my youngest daughter was married she also had this song sung along with "Great is Thy Faithfulness". I have been through three types of cancer; these hymns came to mind. I understand that you had an illness. Remember this: I know Him who made me TO A PURPOSE as HE made Adam to till the Gardens of Eden. I know Him who called Abram to form His kingdom and Moses then David to rule over it TO A PURPOSE. And I know Him who called and saved me TO A PURPOSE as He called and saved Paul TO A PURPOSE - to preach the Gospel of our Lord and Savior to the Gentiles. Read Lamentations 3:19-23 and sleep well my brother. I had a procedure on my back this afternoon and these hymns give me comfort and peace. May God bless you and your family. John
I cry so much when listening to this song, harder every time I listen to it. it reminds me of a hope my friend once gave me before she got diagnosed of cancer. this song guides me into the light. and out of the Darkness of depression
They played this at my high school graduation. One of my most remarkable memories of that time. I am now 77 years old so this song has been with me for 59 years. Love seeing the people with tears.
Beautiful version of a song that carried me through my life. As a Feyenoord and Liverpool supporter and as a human which had to go through a lot of difficult times. It kept me on my feet and made me able to take risks and live my life to the fullest.

The feeling in live concert is very emotional especially André and the Strauss Orchestra played local well known songs. I was blessed to attend his concert pre-pandemics. When You’ll Never Walk Alone played it was so emotional and the sad memories of 9/11/2001 brought to life. 💓💓💓💃🏻🕺🏻🎤🎻🎺🎹🥁🤩🤩🤩
Before my late father had dementia he loved Andre Rieu and this song. He passed away last October and we had this playing as we carried his coffin into the church. It was so fitting and beautiful. Brings me to tears when I hear it. He would have loved it.
I'm watching it during the Chinese corona virus shut down. I've been watching a lot of Andre's videos the past couple of days as it's a sure way to feel better about being isolated.
Im always playing Andre's videos, this one I just forwarded to my BFF(over60yrs of friendship)as she is now has cancer back for second time-she will not be cured but now radiation just to give her more time how ever long She is my Ethel & im her Lucy-God Bless all who are going through this or know someone who is whom they Love
Wouldn’t it be amazing if it were possible for movie theaters to stream his concerts! That’s as close as many will get to his live concerts! The world needs more Andre Rieu music! I’d never heard of him until my dad played one of DVD’s. I was entranced with the range of beautiful music and it was a routine whenever I was with dad… he’d ask, “Which Andre do you want to watch today?” I hope dad can still hear his music in heaven! ❤
I was a youngster some 45 years ago when I saw "Carousel" at a local theater. I mean a live performance, that is. This song hit me so hard. I came here after remembering it during these "interesting times" (to quote an ancient Chinese curse). Still simple, still powerful.
When you see Andre Rieu live it is so emotional it actually makes you cry. You can’t control your feelings that his concerts brings out in you! My sister, Kathy and I, went he performed in Boston! Amazing and extraordinary experience!
You can never ever call yourself a Liverpool fan if you don't belt the chorus out like you're in Anfield in a European night whenever you listen to this masterpiece.
I adore Andre. It is my dream to be able to go to see him. One day. Although I fear I've left it to late. He is a remarkable man. With a god given talent. And he's wonderful orchestra and singers ❤
That was one of the most spectacular version of You'll Never Walk Alone I have ever heard or seen.. I don't know how the singers got through it themselves.. Oh my don't know if I can watch this for a while.. I always think of the one and only Jerry Marsden when this is sung.. 💝
It is always such an uplifting song, and Andre Rieu and his orchestra are the best. I justvlove how they do these concerts in the town square in Maastricht, and everyone is drawn into the performance. Bravo!
It is incredible that Andre his orchestra and soloist can bring so many people from so many different countries together in such Joy and happiness Not one of his audiences go home without a smile on their faces
@@keithsimmons465 Hi Keith, the best of André Rieu, in my opinion: "Ebben la Wally", "the Doll Song", "the Barcarole" and the performance in Mexico with "Cielito lindo" and "La Paloma". Brazil is recommendable as well. Best regards

I love watching his concerts , see his huge audiences, and watching the emotions of the audience. It gives me a lump in my throat and often a tear in my eyes.
Fascinantno ljudi plaču od sreće.Tu atmosferu malo tko može postići . Baš je dragi Bog uz Vas.
My Grandpa used to sing this in his Church choir.. This brings me chills...... and tears.. god Bless!!
How much people are there on Maastricht''s market square! Very much emotions, a lot of tears, but a lot of joy too. Mr. Rieu and his orchestra are amazing and outstanding.

I cry ever time I hear this song, so beautiful, thank you so much. xx
"Carousel" is also one of favorite Rogers and Hammerstein's musicals, too😀.
This song means so much for so many people.
Aleksandar Kospenda I am going to be quite naive here. What is so emotional about this song? Is there a story behind it?

I wonder how many people this man has led to the Lord. Bless him.
I love every song Andre Rieu play’s on his violin and the music he conducts.
He’s absolutely amazing.
What an absolute extraordinary talent and gift he’s been given!❤️❤️

One of the most beautiful songs ever written, if not the best! ! Thank you Rogers and Hammerstein for this moving timeless masterpiece !
Also thank you to Gerry and the pacemakers who gave the song, a second life. The song was sadly forgotten about and unknown by most until they brought it to number 1, with their revamped version.

And thank you to the Liverpool Kop who made it iconic.
Плачу, слушая вас, не от горя, нет, от счастья слыша вас- бесподобно!!!!!

John Gritman I hope all went well, it means much to me also.

I cry so much when listening to this song, harder every time I listen to it. it reminds me of a hope my friend once gave me before she got diagnosed of cancer. this song guides me into the light. and out of the Darkness of depression
Dad used to sing this song around the house. He's gone, 15 years now, and hearing this music stirs memories that make me cry.
They played this at my high school graduation. One of my most
remarkable memories of that time. I am now 77 years old so this song
has been with me for 59 years. Love seeing the people with tears.
Beautiful version of a song that carried me through my life. As a Feyenoord and Liverpool supporter and as a human which had to go through a lot of difficult times. It kept me on my feet and made me able to take risks and live my life to the fullest.
Maravilloso , esta música emociona y te lleva al cielo.
You cannot be a supporter of Liverpool AND Feyenoord. And this is about art so shut up about football
lol. so you are gonna tell me what clubs i can support ? get a life lol@@Maasdilly

I can't help but get tears in my eyes when I see the man crying when they sing "You'll Never Walk Alone." I want to give him a hug.
Tears come into my eyes listening to this as we are all in this terrible epidemic together and we know we are not alone thank you Andre for your beautiful music to lift our hearts xx
Andre Rieu and the JSO has brought me through some terrible times and I am grateful for that. I do miss Mirusia, Carmen and Carly and wonder where they are and what they are doing. i do hope that Andre will bring them back sometime just so we can hear them all sing again.
Thank you Gerry and the Pacemakers for making a beautiful song that the men woman and children of Liverpool will hold to their hearts . RIP
Never to be forgotten
This song already existed way before Gerry and the Pacemakers sing it.
It's a Rodgers and Hammerstein song from the show/movie Carousel, back from 1946 I think.. It's an American song that Gerry Marsden covered.
My wife and I had this played at our wedding just as she arrived at the church whilst I was waiting for her. YNWA my love ❤
When my Dad passed away in 2011 Mum wanted this song at Dads funeral then she told me she wanted it at her funeral which was 2017 which I made sure it was Always makes me have a little tear to myself when i hear this
The feeling in live concert is very emotional especially André and the Strauss Orchestra played local well known songs. I was blessed to attend his concert pre-pandemics. When You’ll Never Walk Alone played it was so emotional and the sad memories of 9/11/2001 brought to life. 💓💓💓💃🏻🕺🏻🎤🎻🎺🎹🥁🤩🤩🤩
Let us pray for all the needy and sick. For every day we've lived.🙏🙏🙏 Ewa Ewa Ewa
Before my late father had dementia he loved Andre Rieu and this song. He passed away last October and we had this playing as we carried his coffin into the church. It was so fitting and beautiful. Brings me to tears when I hear it. He would have loved it.
We had it playing at my grandads funeral this week and it has a whole new meaning to me now.
Dit nummer werd als laatste gezongen op de uitvaart van mijn lieve echtgenote, ik word er nog steeds emotioneel van als ik dit nummer hoor, geweldig❤️

I'm watching it during the Chinese corona virus shut down. I've been watching a lot of Andre's videos the past couple of days as it's a sure way to feel better about being isolated.
This is surely, the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard

Actually walking through the worst storm of my life.
Longing for that golden sky beyond words.

They do in the UK, being done next month

I was a youngster some 45 years ago when I saw "Carousel" at a local theater. I mean a live performance, that is. This song hit me so hard. I came here after remembering it during these "interesting times" (to quote an ancient Chinese curse). Still simple, still powerful.
Danke...so schön,wenn man sich nicht ganz alleine fühlt..ich hab ja noch Euch...ich danke Euch für diese schöne Melodie!!
This is an example of why I love Andre Rieu.
When you see Andre Rieu live it is so emotional it actually makes you cry.

he is touring all next year in EUrope and the USA!
@@keithsimmons465 Hi Keith, the best of André Rieu, in my opinion: "Ebben la Wally", "the Doll Song", "the Barcarole" and the performance in Mexico
with "Cielito lindo" and "La Paloma". Brazil is recommendable as well. Best regards
