Taxes relating to clearance of motor vehicles is just insane. Upto now we are still grappling with more payments to ZRA as if thats when we are buying. Profits of 💯 percent which is exploitation and daylight robbery
Gentlemen, lets be objective for a bit. How do you remove tax on a non essential commodity such as an electric car? I would have welcomed removing of tax on solar pannels and solar batteries, that directly affects the livelihood of us, not an electric vehicle, which by the way not even 1 percent of Zambians own, and there is no power to charge it, making it even more expensive than a petrol or diesel car, because you will first have to buy the fuel to put in a genset to charge the car. Work done equals zero. We are facing real challenges in this country, stop playing.
As much as this is great to hear but looking at power outrages we need to invest in sustainable energy coz what's the use if there is no power to charge.
I like your optimism my brother, but understand from the onset that Zambia has a long way to go before we can start talking about EVs integration on our roads. It's a good thing, but it's still far away before we can start talking about replacing our current and reliable biofuel cars. Otherwise I like the intent from government, but this can only fully succeed when there is enough local investment in the same. Evs are absolutely Not maintenance free, they have huge challenges and improvements are taking place. You need huge investments för this to really take place. Nice video as always.
Good initiative , half a loaf is better than nothing ...I am watching from Zimbabwe ...we have the same Electricity crisis in Zim ...its actually better that taxes are being removed in Zimbabwe our Government only increases taxes for example we have sugar tax 2% all those who make drinks or products with sugar are taxed ...now we have fast food tax if you eat fast food they tax you a percentage ...we already have a 100% imprt tax on motor vehicles you pay double amount of vehicle ...we now have gambling tax 10% on every winning ticket if you win 1000usd gvt takes 100 usd from you ...Zambia you are on the right path trust me
Yes, it is good, but in zambia 🇿🇲 we have a big problem of electricity, even in the neighborhood . Imagine Meanwood mitumbi kwamwena, we can pass one week or 2 weeks without electricity. Artist if their can promote a car using panels solar
Electric vehicles you ur better off ordering through the garage as they are supposed to connect the EV system at your home which is part of the package for the EV's otherwise ordering as an individual you will find paying unnecessary top costs of the package which is supposed to be part of the package, ensure you get other apps for the smartphone to do other controls of the vehicle when charging the vehicle, don't charge the vehicle beyond 80%,it serves your vehicle and ensure you plan journeys correctly by ensuring points you likely to drive to has charging points too, also maximum period or kilometers you likely to cover,it's important to approach EV's with change of mindset on our roads as these vehicles have very high speeds and some undisciplined and recklessness driving would lead into very serious outcomes and injuries. RTSA and our traffic police will need to up their game too,to avoid what we might face ahead especially with younger drivers.
Electric car in zambia with load shedding. . . Bali had promised to 'fix it'. . . by making us pay for solar energy. We can foresee us paying for charging ports hopefully. Zesco with triple tariffs. . . Living cost sky rocketing. . . Very good time for thinking of EVs. . .
With the current power situation in the country, we need Hybrid cars but the government doesn't mean well for Zambians. Hybrid cars are the way to go but the taxes are very high. You get a hybrid car for $7,000.00 but pay $6,500.00 in taxes, that doesn't make sense.
Again, in zambia, we don't have a lot of electrical stations to fill up this car. We still to building first more electrical stations to recharged our car
That is exactly what I do I do register with number plate on behalf of the owners after bringing from Dar es salaam.by the time they are receiving the vehicle it's fully register Ed in their names
Everyone in the government should buy electric cars first and the people will follow but the charging thing is too much that's why people don't buy electric cars they are slowing us down the future will be slow just think about combustion engines car is the fastest way to travel you just put petrol diesel whatever and you are on your way but charging takes time the future is going to be painfully slow
This is a very silly, landmass, energy infrastructure, average summer temp and initial cost of EVs makes initiatives around electric cars in Zambia silly. This will only benefit the wealthy in major cities. Not everything which works in the west is suitable for Zambia
When did that happened, just a couple of days we were entangled in these insane duties in the name car clearances. Stop lying if you are part of prasise singers
Mr remove your emotions.i clear vehicles almost every week.I wonder the connection with being a praise singer with me giving you an update on electric cars in Zambia
Imagine bringing a car you can't find electricity to fill up? And this car their have km limite when it is full of charge. It can go until 600km, and you can charge again .
I'm sorry, but this probably only applies to EVs,how many EVs do we important in Zambia annual or how many EVs are on the road now in Zambia...how many EVs doesn't the government own....for me this video is useless..thanks
They have removed excise duty and custom duty u will only pay VAT

I have just bumped into the video & already I’m a fan, this is a very good channel sir

This is a very great development.

Excellent
You are number 1 today sir
Thanks bwana 💯💪🏿
Good news indeed. Electric cars is what our nation needs & we now need to plan to have Electic buses & trains too. Thanks
Without electricity?
With these loadshedding problems

In my opinion, first, Gvmnt can resolve electricity problems, no missing electricity in Lusaka capital city

I guess i can now buy that kei truck
Well explained and thanks for your efforts Sir. But does that include hybrids?? Advise on hybrids Sir.
Unfortunately hybrids have not been exempted I wish they did
What about Hybrid vehicles??
😊😊😊. HH forward
What's the point of even buying an electric car when we dont even have power in Zambia, we dont even have network or fuel😂
If anyone thinks Bali is responsible for road shedding then y still depending on him do something of ur own buy a big solar
How about those people who depend on fixing vehicles and mantainance😢😢🎉🇿🇲
a factor byd in Zambia to supply whole of soth Africa
Lol 😅 I was about to go on SBT and Beforward with excitement. Only to hear ati Electric Cars. 😅 EV are boring 😂
Electric cars with this load shedding😢😢
How about hybrid cars
Whats the tranport costs to bring an electric vehicle like a Nissan leaf ?
Again, in zambia, we don't have a lot of electrical stations to fill up this car. We still to building first more electrical stations to recharged our car
How do you think they will be built if not because of the cars.
Thanks for sharing

The best could have been hybrid vehicles .
Does RTSA accept to register a car on behalf of a customer where the vehicle is delivered to a customer already with a plate number?

This will create employment with electric cars recharging points.
😂😂😂...Electric cars with loadsheding, how do the two mix?
