I’ve been really happy with my 6800. Paired with Ryzen 7600, it has done everything I’ve asked it to do
amazing combo
I'm going with the same GPU, if my budget decides it. CPU on the other hand is the 7800x3d.
@@thesocker7920lol that a bit over kill with the cpu ryzen 7 7800xd and the rx 6800 but if you do plan to upgrade for rx 7900 xt you be fine but just my opinion I would put extra money into a good gpu instead a overkill cpu.
@@iamjustme4542 Yeah the bundle at microcenter was just too good of a deal...
@@thesocker7920 Are you only gaming? I would suggest going to one of the Budget AM5 platform CPU's if only for gaming at 1440p. Unless you plan to play 4k in the future and upgrade your GPU in next 2-3 years. If not planning to upgrade at all I would personally just go AM4 platform and stick to the Ryzen 5600 and the 6800 GPU. Thing absolutely destroys 1440p gaming.
Back in March I built a AM4 platform build using the Ryzen 5 5600 and the 6800. Use stock fan on the Ryzen 5 5600 never runs hot. I get 115+ FPS in every game I play at high settings 95-100+ in ultra settings in most games. Phenomenal value build as I only spent $900 to do it.
great build!
I run a 5950x3d with an Intel A770 16g. At first launch it was a little rocky, Intel has been flooding out drivers for the last year. Now I can run virtually anything at high-ultra settings at minimum 100fps.
5950x3d doesn't exist
@@Synful_ he probably meant 7950x3d, although, that's a pretty far drop from the cpu to the gpu lol
@@GlacikingTheIceColdKing yea massive, pairing an Intel with amd x3d should be criminal lol
I got a 6700 xt a few months ago, while I can't run every game on max settings with max fps, It's still a massive upgrade from the rx 580 I was using, most games I can still get about 100-165 steady fps, even on god of war 2018 which I just got on max settings im still getting a steady 110 fps
awesome!!!
Sick! is this on 1440p? Im planning to get the same and switch to 1440p
Iv actually really enjoyed the 4080, going to hand it down to my son’s PC soon
I have the 4080 super and it's perfect because I can play competitive games at 165 fps on high settings on my 1440p monitor, but then I can also run cyberpunk at 4k, max settings with path tracing, with a locked 60 fps on my 70 inch living room TV.
It's expensive but well worth it. 😊
even the 4090 cant run path tracing above 25 fps in Cyberpunk phantom liberty in 4k native..
@Greenalex89 That's where DLSS, Ray reconstruction, and Frame Gen come in. I was pretty skeptical, but those software features really make a difference.
7600xt 16 GB is the most popular mining GPU for the price already stock out
what coin are people mining now? how much dollar per day?
What is your favorite Gaming GPU right now? Mine is the RTX 4070 Ti Super (my second favorite is the RX 6750 XT)
for me, it's definitely going to be my 6950 xt! its such a amazing gpu for its price point and it crushes at 1440p!
probably a 4070 (ti, super, ti super, idk) or a 7800 xt
Mine is the 4070 super, please oil up 🙏
@@mltprngkim391 ayoooo
Looking for a used one for under 100 that can do 4K also. Whats best one?
4070 TI Super is a 4080-lite, same die and VRAM even. It has better raytracing than all AMD cards and plays 4k with few exceptions.
that's the one I want
@@Synful_ get the 4080 super
@igotthejuice2090 not worth the extra money and my psu isn't big enough

To be fair depending on what game your CPU could be important
recently upgraded into a ryzen 7 5700x3d for $190 and an rx 6800 for $360 to play games @ 1440p 144hz.
initially, i thought i needed a beefier gpu (rx 7800 xt), but when i actually used this combo and stopped watching all the benchmark vids, i found that all the games i play ran buttery smooth and that i was perfectly fine with this combo.
that happens to most of us, we fall into the "higher fps" trap
I got 4070 on play 4k and 1440 p I'm happy
minute silence for my friend who didnt listen to me, he got 4060 ti 16 gb proart model for 602 euros , rx 7900 gre cost 652 euros . we play same games 1440p ( im on 7900 gre) u can imagine how he feels now when my card beats even his RT+ FG setup haha
@@gogaming5449 I feel bad for your friend :(
@@ShadowGamingPC1 yeah :( he totaly went nvidia geek for a day even tho we talked he get same as me xD here nvidia cards are always 100-200 euros more than in us
Got a barely used 3070 for 300$. It’s been a very Good high settings 1440p gpu and I’ve really enjoyed it.(gigabyte vision)
6800 with the i5 12600kf is a killer 1440 combo for cheap! Loving it.
My 4060 is playing all my games just fine no issues. And I am currently playing The First Descendant.
It def plays just fine. It just doesn't have great value to performance. many better options for the new builder.
@@andrewroof8042 My 4060 costed me only $200 dollars brand new. I would way that is a good price to performance for me.
I play cs2 competitive, I run a 5800X3D and a 6950XT always went nvidia before but will never go back tbh, prefer the amd software and don't care about ray tracing etc
I have bought the rtx 4070ti super and I am very happy with it. It has 16 gb vram,dlss3 with frame generation. It would be enough for 1440p ultra gaming.
No mentions for 6800xt? I was expecting it to be on this list just for the fact on how good it is still today. Anyways, Great Video! Subbed
The 6800 XT is goated that is right, I missed it, my bad! and thanks :)
@@ShadowGamingPC1 np. idk if its just on my location but I got my 6800xt for equivalent of $315 usd used. And oh damn its a beast if you dont really care about rt and upscaling.
I just got my 4070 Super for the same price as 7900 GRE to pair with a Ryzen 5 7600. I choose the 4070 Super mainly because of the 70-100 watt difference in power it uses. From now on I'll be saving money each day I use the 4070 Super as electricity costs quite a bit in Europe. A lot of people overlook this part when choosing a GPU.
Well, lets say its 100W more an u play 6h/day, 5 days/week on FULL load. That makes 45€ difference between the 2 if the price is 0,29€/kwh within a year. The 4070 super would start paying off after a year if u hardcore game every day almost and on full load (unrealistic). But the 7900GRE is amazing at overclocking+ undervolting and u can get a almost 7900XT lvl performance and still have 16 gigs of VRAM. So u can have way more fps for way longer years than with the 4070 super since it wont be VRAm limited in 2 years.
@@Greenalex89 Prices for both cards were the same in Europe 600$. Also electricity is bit ore expensive here. I really wanted to go AMD but the difference in watts/h made my choice easier. I also play at 1440p only and not the latest tittles. I hate to say it but in this situation Nvidia was the "smartest" choice. I did make the switch from intel CPU to AMD for this new build.
i have a rx 7600 and a i5 13400f on 1080p but i want to go for 1440p with a rx 6800 xt and i7 14700k i know the cpu is abit of overkill but for the price in my country its worth it (i live in a third world country and the prices are just a balloon) if i find a 7800 xt for a fair price i would get that
do you have any suggestions ?
You don't have to upgrade CPU, it's good enough for 6800XT in 1440p
Big thumbs up to all the 8-bit minecrafters out there that decided they needed a rtx4090 with a 256-bit bus!
2:07 why is anyone looking at any 4060 for 1440p gaming. The reason the 16GB Ti version did not increase it's bus size is because it is made for 1080p gaming. The 16GB was done for content creators, mainly AI/LLM because many were buying used 3060 for the higher VRAM. This is why Nvidia didnt send the card out for testing, especially since majority are game testers. But I did see a few productivity testers test it.
Nice video bro!
thanks man!
I'm looking to upgrade my i7-6700k and GTX 1070 and I'm considering the 7800X3D coupled with a 7900 GRE or a 4070 Super. My main game is Escape From Tarkov.
both the 4070 super and 7900 gre will give you excellent performance
U will get huge performance just from the cpu upgrade..tarkov is cpu hunger
Please, what would be the best budget reasonable upgrade from my perfect so far 2070S?? Subscribed
budget reasonable :( what is your budget ? in my mind if u on 1440p monitor, min upgrade i would go is 100% more performance, that would be smting like rx 7800 xt . budget one is rx 6800 on newegg
@@gogaming5449 500$ max to 550$ budget, must be new card
Save up and get 4070 ti super. It will last you long time
Unless you do other things than gaming ( like content creation / editing etc ) always go for AMD you will get a better price/performance ratio, and bad AMD drivers is a myth.
Light/mid editing and content creation is possible :)
But not anything heavy 🪨
Been running 5800X + 6900XT for nearly 3 years now, plenty of performance. Sadly that myth killed something in my system with a driver update a while back and it’s gotten so bad that I have to buy a new one. AMD customer service has been nothing but top tier for me but it doesn’t change the current state of things for me. Giving team green a chance for a change now, even though it REALLY hurts the wallet.
Erm, i suggest you play Horizon Forbidden West, even at 1080p, with my 7800xt, even though it is perfectly smooth, never dipping lower than 60fps, the memory it uses at 1080p is roughly 10-12GB, it will likely be higher in higher resolutions, unless, memory is utilized differently....
By the middle of next year these won't be the best for 1440p but hopefully they go down in price when the 50 series releases for this tier of cards.
I agree, but the 4070 Ti Super, 4070 Super, 7900 XT and 7900 GRE will be relevant still
@@ShadowGamingPC1 Yeah. I should still have my RTX 4070 Ti Super through next generation.
Where did you find the 7900 GRE Reference cards???
What gpu you recommendet for me, i have 7 5800X3D and i play cs2? I have now 7800 xt but i think i have some strange lags with my 2 screen setup and i want come back nvidia bcs easyer..

Best value would be turning it all in and getting to the AM4 platform if you have no desire to upgrade down the road. Like on my end I will just build fresh every 3-4 years anyways. Everyone sells going for AM5 for upgradable path but you can't beat the value to performance of buying AM4 currently. I saved $250-300 going this path for the same performance by utilizing sells at the time. $900 total cost for 120+ FPS in almost every game high/ultra settings.

Can’t decide between the 7900gre and 4070 super. Got a 7700x and the pc will be all white. The price difference isn’t much so that doesn’t really matter the nvidia is like $50 more. Just can’t decide. My son will be playing Fortnite on it and I’ll play some Minecraft maybe some GTA. Which one would you recommend? 6750xt all day. You're gonna want that 16GB.
Im stuck trying to decide between the 4070 super, 7900 gre, 4070 ti super, and the 7900 xt...
1440p 144hz gaming is the goal, and i dont want to upgrade again for around 5 years. On the other hand, I do need a monitor upgrade as well.
all 3 GPUs will be enough for 1440p 144hz, but if you want it to last that long, then the 4070 Ti super is the one that will age the best in my opinion (unless FSR gets improved to the point where is the same as DLSS)
What are you playing game wise? I don't see any reason to have to spend more than $350 - 500 to game at 144Hz 1440p. You would be just fine with 7800 XT, 6800 XT, or 6800.
My Ryzen 5 5600 + 6800 build gets 160+ on any competitive shooter game, I get 120+ in most areas when playing Hogwarts Legacy. Honestly I rarely see the Frames drop below the 110-120 mark at high/ultra settings.
I guess if you want something that always stays 140+ in all settings one of those is great, but I just don't think the cost is worth it unless you have the money to blow. Just my thoughts but no wrong decision.
Also 6950 XT....if wanting to spend $500 check that sucker out
@@andrewroof8042 game wise things like baldur's gate 3, helldivers 2, the finals, etc. A mix of story driven rpgs and shooters
The idea is to upgrade to 1440p and achieve 144hz, high to ultra settings today, then ramp the settings down over time until I get down to 40ish fps low to medium settings, by then I'll be due for an upgrade
B/c of that I'm thinking that going a little bit overkill might be worth. I know "futureproofing" isn't really a thing but I don't expect the same level of performance for that long

You could go $200 cheaper by buying the 6800 on Amazon right now. Depending on your monitor it will pair with that ryzen 5 5600 for 110 FPS+ in almost any game at high/ultra settings. And lower settings for competitive will top 180+ in Warzone for example.

Cheap? I think you meant ONLY in USA ?
yes US only
not really in the UK is cheap too way cheaper than Europe
From the 1st few minutes of your video I think you need to rethink this. Due to the most under thought about piece of Computer system gaming or otherwise depending on use is the Monitor. You can have the best as of to date RTX4090 and not get any more than 60 fps of 1080p if all you have is a 60-75 hz 1080p monitor. Order should be monitor then GPU. Then you can worry about other bottle necks such as CPUs Mem and so on.
@@ardithconley2628 I agree and disagree, the monitor is a peripheral (super important ofc) but not a PC component

2:43 ok i can tell where you are going already. So I will say it for you now. If you are a hardcore gamer and you watch your pocket, and even if you don't but you mainly looking GPU for gaming, then AMD is your best bet. If you a hard content creator and you game, you should never look at AMD, only if maybe you use DaVinci Resolve for video editing. Nvidia is KING in balancing both at a high level. All you gamers seem to think GPUs, especially Nvidia's are only made for gamers. And if raytracing is not important to you, then stick to AMD.

SP. And Corsair RM750e (2023) Fully Modular Low-Noise ATX Power Supply
And Gigabyte B650M D3HP AX Motherboard and DEEPCOOL AK400 Performance Single Tower Heatpipe CPU Cooler. Don’t want a bottle neck also how many frames would I get just want a smooth playing pc with high enough frames sorry for the way I’ve typed it new to this stuff.
You don't need 6400mhz ram, 6000mhz is cheaper and gives nearly the same performance as 6400mhz
This b650 is pretty basic, if you wanted to upgrade CPU to Ryzen 7 in future I wouldn't recommend but it's ok budget friendly
The PSU is veryyyy expensive over 100$ for PSU that's crazy
There are cheaper alternatives
CPU cooler is alright 😘
What's your GPU???
@@Aegie thanks for the help really appreciate it and 7600x
@@He_him7 that's the CPU - processor Ryzen 5 7600x
Or did you mean Radeon Rx 7600? The GPU - graphics card
@@Aegie sorry didn’t read what u said properly I actually want to go with the RX 6950 xt and Ryzen 7600X what fps would I get
@@He_him7 every game in 1440p resolution will be smooth :)
I would consider changing PSU for cheaper one because this is too expensive, search little bit and you'll find something cheaper with same specs, sorry for not giving any models etc, there's storm going on and even replying is pain :(
And the RAM for 6000mhz ;)
best gpu for UWQHD? okay its 1440p but 30% extra
Those things:
6800XT
7800XT
4070S
7900GRE
4070ti super
7900XT
7900XTX
4080S
loling at you on 4k ..
dont worry. i dont buy nvidia cards ever.
I bought my fist Radeon card (6800) earlier this year. I will never go back to Nvidia unless they come more in line with Radeon pricing. The 6800 was only $380 on sale at that time and it destroys everythin within a $100 price point. I wanted the 7800 XT but I didn't want to spend $120-140 more.
I’m getting a steel legend motherboard and there’s a matching 7900 gre and amd has more vram but I like the efficiency of the 4070s.. bout to flip a coin lol.
hahaha flip a coin is the right answer tbh, for those games, Vram is not important, and both GPUs will work perfect
@@ShadowGamingPC1 Thanks ya I’m just waiting for Amazon prime day and see how much of a sale there is on each and get one then.
