FYI It has to separate. Draining it after running it will be mixed up. Need to wait for the diesel and water to separate. Sit it on the bench and after awhile you’ll see it separate from the water.

Ah 2017. A fine year for filters. For a bit more body and fruitiness, try the 2020 reserve

Running any additives? Any cp4 pump issues?

What year is that truck? I like the placement of that lift pump. Thinking about doing it on a 2006. Don’t want it hanging out to be hit or damaged

Next time you change ur WS, I'd use the Baldwin BF1275 which has slightly better specs. The AD WS that came with the pump is also a re-branded 1275. AD switched to these about 4-5 years ago for the same reasons. I'm running the exact same setup, nothing beats the stock filter for the overall best protection, your wise for keeping it in place, esp. if you still have the stock CP4.2. Drain ur stock filter when you do this as well. I'd toss the fuel or use it to start fires, dirt/dust can build up in the filter drain holes and get in the fuel when you drain it out.
