Mate im way ahead of you, I FT in a van and I leaned a few years ago when I first started not to take life so seriously, I drive truck and work the last 3 months of the year and I earn enough to last me until the following year and I can even save a bit too, and I spend my time drifting round France & the Outer Hebrides (winter up there is great), my only worry is that I dont run out of milk for my tea, there are 3 ppl in my life, Me, Myself & I...ppl worry about running out of water all the time, WHY?, just go and buy some until you can fill up.... I cross each bridge as I get to it and if I cant get over it then I find another way....Like you im parked on a side road next to a garage & McDonalds (love the coffee) Life is way too short sometimes and in a strange way of thinking van life extends it..Im very happy & content too...It works for me and is JMO. 🤙🤙🤙
