The fan base loves this band precisely because of something like that, there are no limits with Nemophila, they just do whatever they want 100%. I want the covers, I want the originals, I want the experiments, I want brutally hard, I want super soft, I want fast, I want slow, I want superstars on every instrument. Nemophila is my greatest pride that I was able to accompany and discover this band from the very beginning, from the very first second it was clear that it was going to be a super band (not a little bit, but really) the band has the golden ratio. I'm a 54 year old European very spoiled when it comes to metal, there are only a few bands that have triggered me as much as Nemophila (these other bands almost all come from Japan. It's strange but it's the truth). Great reaction
Hey Dude.. Great reaction and welcome back. Nemophila (Obsessed) fan here.. Been watching them since they formed in 2019.. One thing I've learned in this short period of time is, They are 5 best friends who do what ever they want. They can play a beautiful 80 style metal balad like this or cover Metalica's MOP, Journey's Separate ways or System of a down"s Sugar, and everything inbetween. Yes they can be full on scream'o' in your face rockers with Zen or breaking your heart with Life.. There is literally nothing these 5 beautiful, talented Ladies can't do. You cannot put them in a Box, you just learn to expect the unexpected and know it's going to be Awesome. You need to do some more, and then you will see what I mean, and I'm sure you will soon feel like we all do.. New album Evolve out today, do your self a favour and check it out.. Discovered Nemophila just before their first anniversary, they have taken over as my favorite band after almost 30 years of Metallica holding that spot. Having been a musician playing multiple instruments (Piano, Guitar, Drums, Bass, numerous percussion instruments and Tuba all at performance level), and have enjoyed a wide array of genres. I *love* this song from them, even though it's not their norm. Extremely high level of musicianship, and they all convey emotion through this song. We all know mayu isn't a one-trick pony, and this adds yet another level of depth to her vocal capabilities.
Brotha, my brotha!!! That was a beautiful & powerful ballad! Mayu was spot on throughout her vocal, both Hazuki & Saki were amazing and the drumming was perfect to the rhythm, and their 3rd album EVOLE is out now!
Nemophila fan here since day one.. They have a couple other ballads.but as others have said..Nemophila does not adhere to any genre, they do whatever they want, and are excellent at all they do.. their fan base Love all sides of Nemophila.. Just a suggestion..^Raitei", "Adabana", the song "Life" ( w/english subs is very special to them) "Sieze the Fate", "Monsters", "Oiran".. Just to name a few..
Gorgeous song but, that is what I’ve come to expect from Nemophila. They really are quite varied in their rock/metal genres, but you are correct. They are probably known by passerby’s as rather heavy. Love the band.
Nice reaction but nah, man, they're not "supposed to be" anything. What they are is a band with metal/metalcore foundations that has *always* visited other genres, experimented with other styles and continually released contrasting songs. The only common theme running through it all has been the top quality. Mayu got pipes. She's shown her range of ability with songs like this one, 'Life', 'Now I Here', 'Zen', 'Hypnosis' and her rapping on 'Style' and the Limp Bizkit cover they did. Despite this fantastic voice, Mayu said she finds the screams easiest to do. Melodic vocals like this are outside her comfort zone but she slays anyway. The band is not old enough to get stuck in a rut yet. Nemophila is newer than Lovebites and *much* newer than Band-Maid and Gacharic Spin.
I dont get why some get surprise by this side of Nemophila. Havent you heard Life, Game Over and Now I Here??? This softer side is not new to Nemophila at all.

Nemophila always changes thier style from song to song so it really wasnt vert surprising for most Nemophila fans.
There was a power ballad on their very first EP already, so it's not too unexpected
