Loudness was formed around 1981 by guitarist Akira Takasaki, and yep, they are legends! The guitar Saki is playing here belongs to Akira (although she has her own copy in red that she plays in the Maximum the Hormone cover ua-cam.com/video/2Q3fyW4FnJY/v-deo.htmlsi=BRt6LH_BJk7yW3V8 ), who has been a "mentor" to her and many others including Mina Taicho of Fate Gear. Him and his band have been big supporters of the female metal bands boom in Japan...probably why they love them so much!
A lot going on here that's not apparent unless you know about Saki and Loudness .Killer guitars is Akira Takahashi the brand started some time ago and is made by ESP Japan this 6 string played here was as Saki put it the borrowed child ,from Akira we are guessing as he is Saki's guitar sponsor she plays his brand (killer) exclusively there is a Saki model in the range ,7 string, which she plays in Nemophila .Nemophila did a two man show with Loudness and played this track with them on stage. This was very special to Saki she and Akira (loudness lead guitar) played the solo together in perfect unison note for note . Great reaction i always love your Nemo reactions because you obviously love them .
After seeing SAKI doing this solo, it was funny seeing Akira Takasaki playing it with her. SAKI and Hazuki are so light-fingered even though they play so badass. Takasaki-san hammers the fuck out of his fretboard when he does the tapping, lol.
Nemophila and Loudness played this song together when they did their 2 man show last year. Akira also presented one of his guitars to Saki before they played. If you get a chance to find the livestream of that the guitar solo between Saki and Akira was freaking awesome.
oh yes great cover. Mayu sounded great. Haraguchi was probably just focused. Also she is happy when she has more room to move around haha. Early on when they started she always seemed a bit more reserved but not much no more. She is everywhere duign concerts. Like one comment said you give her a football field she will roam every inch of it .They also filmed this in their on homes I believe. They have done a number of covers this way.
LOUDNESS is Japanese heavy metal legend, prominently huge during the 80s-90s and still active today. The band formed in 1981, the same year as a band SHOW-YA -whom also dubbed as the 'Female LOUDNESS'. Its worth mentioning that one of the band's founding members (the significant figure in Japanese heavy metal scene) is the lead guitarist and sole constant member of the band: Akira Takasaki (ex-Lazy, est. 1973). The band Lazy splitted in 1981 and their 2 active band members, Takasaki and Hiroyuki Tanaka (ba.) contacted their school friend (also Lazy's ex-drummer) Mutenaka Higuchi to form LOUDNESS. Noticed that SAKI is Killer Guitars endorser? Well, Akira Takasaki is also the co-founder of the Killer Guitars alongside another big name guitarist George Azuma. Azuma is a guitarist of 5X band and was a member of a band Laff which featured Carmen Maki (ref. Carmen Maki & Laff, also past member of 5X), another legendary Japanese female vocalist. The relation/connection between Japanese rock artists is like a jigsaw puzzle; and considering there are many legendary status artists since the 70s are still rocking the scene with lots of new artists emerged since then, plus the sheer size of Japan's music industry for decades, its a 'honmani tottemo mecha kucha' massive jigsaw puzzle 😮
You are right, you know if it is Nemophila it is going to be awesome. I think maybe Haraguchi-sun is just missing her smile buddy Tamu. Love this cover.
It's a shame they haven't put the video of their performance of this with Loudness on UA-cam. That really was great. Takasaki-san played alongside SAKI but he also moved around the stage, taking the trouble to spend time with Hazuki and Hara-chan too. Cool guy. Nemophila also covered 'Fairy' by Show-Ya and, once again, UA-cam is sadly lacking the video of Nemophila and Show-Ya performing it together. I wish they would put both videos on this platform as they show how great these bands are at working together.
I think you should give doll$boxx a listen I think you would like them also. Take my chances is a good song to start with for them. It has some of the members of gacharic spin in it and the lead singer of unlucky morpheus in it
Nice to meet you♫ Thank you for finding the Japanese girl heavy metal band NEMOPHILA ♫ I'm very happy👍 However, many Japanese people don't like the style of stopping in the middle of a performance and reacting! Please don't be offended 🎸⚡♫ In Japan, an all-girl heavy metal band called SHOW-YA existed in the 1980s and is still active today. NEMOPHILA is a Japanese girl heavy metal band that is on par with LOVEBITES, BAND MAID, ALDIOUS, Gacharic Spin, BRIDER, etc., but SHOW-YA is a big part of their base🎸⚡✨✨✨♫ If you like, please check it out 🤓✌️♫ So please enjoy Japanese girl heavy metal band 💪🤓👍🎸⚡♫ Tsuyoshi.Yokoi from JAPAN🇯?

Loudness toured the US earlier this year, 2023. Unfortunately, I missed them at Trees in Dallas the month after Nemophila performed there.
