Well, I caved and picked up an Aluminum SCX24 Ripper. They fixed the front grill issue so it looks correct now. But man $$. And got they’re new axles with the double jointed universals. Something entirely new like Mofos X15 axles. Cheers brother!
Hi this is an amazing build. I've always into the bigger rc's.. what kind of rc is this? I'm looking into getting into this side of the hobby. Live the detail u did..great work!❤
Thanks! It’s based of the Traxxas trx4m but I personally didn’t want to use any actual Traxxas parts. And I wanted it to have portal axles. But I used the Traxxas as a base because this cage was made for it.
@@mikeinvegas1 I think the scx24 is really outdated. They still home with those puny motors. The Furitek are good…I have a few of their Caymans. You don’t like the FMS or HobbyPlus trucks?
@DanPRC I like the furitek too..hmm. I'll look at those too..which do u think is the best..to put nice portal axles on etc..to fully upgrade like mechanical art?
Oh man, I am trying to do a very similar build right now and came across your video. What transmission are you using? Could you post a parts list? This build looks amazing!
@@teknolem7426 if you go to 1.01 in the video you can see some spacers on the very bottom bracket infront of the servo, on the cross piece that looks like the winch eye part.
Damn! That thing just walked right over those tires at the end! Killer!

Looks Epic with those 70mm Swamp Claws😳😳👍
Nice, been wanting the tarantula chassis and debating getting a Trx4m for the parts vs just getting all aftermarket components
Yeah I’m not crazy about Traxxas electronics. This way costs more but well worth it to me because it now has everything I want.
Def agree. Gonna put some treal portals on the build. Do u think there’s room for a servo in the rear for 4ws on the tarantula chassis?
What battery are you using, and where did you get the battery tray?
I'm looking to do this with a 2 speed transmission. I can't wait! :)
Tbe best trx4m build I have seen yet! After you made the clearance for the lay down server, are you still able to put the hood on it correctly?
Hell Yeah nice build

@DanPRC ok thank u.. im looking at the furitek hiroyama now..not sure between that and scx24. Still researching.

@@DanPRC the furitek bouncer with titanium cage is nice

Actually, I just had to up the resolution to read the transmission packaging at the beginning of the video. I still would love a parts list though!
❤ it 🔥🔥🔥
0:50 what did you do to make clearance for the horizontal servo
go to 1.01 in the video and you can see them in front of the servo on the front frame piece.
how did you get the servo to fit?
I used spacers to widen the frame.
How do you make the clearance for the servo?
I used spacers. I see other guys actually heating and bending the plastic frame.
Spacers where?
