I have 53mm shocks, filled them with 20w oil as instructed and used the oem Traxxas springs. No preload in front and about 10mm preload in rear and my defender sits perfect
Nice!!!!
Great content.. sweet build
Much appreciated
Super cool, I just converted my shocks to oil on my K5 blazer big difference, Yep I was here watching 👍👍😎
Thanks a ton for the watch. It does make a huge difference.
I put the same shocks and servo in my TRX4M Bronco about 3 weeks ago. I like them. Great upgrade! 👍🏻
Nice! They are damn good.
damnnn that shell is super dope! would still love a detailed video of someone taking apart a fms model entirely! primarily the drive shafts and stuff, like from start to finish!! im sure its easy, but im new to the hobby and that stuff is majorly intimidating!! i fear putting them back incorrectly!
We have some fcx24 videos where we go pretty deep. Check these out

I’m still very new to it an just finished my super injora scx24build an it was very intimidating to look at all the parts an stuff to do that u don’t know how to do but the best way to learn is with ya hands just be careful an test things before u put them fully back together an take note how things come apart even if u need to make a photo doc it’s a lot easier than it looks .
I'm running to sets of springs per tire gota that nice smooth rebound and there so soft it flexes like normal
Nice!!!
oh no! more parts I gotta have for my "Im totally gonna leave this stock" micro 😂
Hahah they are always gonna be left stock….
Sweet video!! Any videos on the ripper coming out soon? I would love to see what you can do to it.
I plan to do a few things to the ripper. Right now there is a video for channel members of me showing the new 3flow9 flow skids. Should be live in a few days. Also the longer shocks are coming soon and I’ll throw them on the ripper as well.
@@TheShopMiniRC sweet I’ll be waiting to see how the 59 mm preform
With exception of the prop shafts mines stock i might swap out the servo though and add some wheel weights
Weight helps as does a good servo!
a query? Does it resist water? (Servo) I saw on the injora page that it does resist but I have seen comments that it doesn't 👎
Resistant but not totally waterproof.
I used the factory rear defender springs on the Injora shocks to keep the back up, and the soft springs in the front.
Nice tip!!
I put the same shocks on mine does the same thing doesnt really spring back up. I replaced the links as well in mine the links sticking was part of the problem still not full happy with it. I used 30 weight oil in mine thinking about going with something heavier.
We might try something heavier on this too heavy rig.
Just a thought, could you put 59mm on the back and 53 up front?
You could. But stiffer springs would probably be more ideal.
The shocks are all about the oil weight I use 35 in front and 30 in back
Yeah, on these tiny trucks, the smallest changes make a big impact.
@@TheShopMiniRC yessir you know it
Os amortecedores já vem com óleo?
E qual o melhor óleo para off Road, 20wt ou 30wt?
Obrigado por responder…
If I remember right these ones do. I should mention it in the video. We use 20wt 200cst oil.
Getting the same shocks tomorrow lol zen moment all hail Amazon 🙌 haha
Hahaha. Love the fast shipping!!! Still wanna support local and smaller shops when we can though.
@@TheShopMiniRC i do I buy all my rtr rigs locally
I'm running the 59mm on my trx4m bronco, stiffer springs in the rear, and even with way less weight up top have a sag issue as well. Kind of annoying lol.
Running almost half the shock body in pre load as well. Would thicker oil help?
Yeah… think oil could help some but ultimately, stiffer springs or more preload is the real answer.
How’s the servo holding up? Just ordered one
Its still goin strong!
👍
Thanks! 👍👍
I would put the flat, broad side against the body, larger contact area, like having a washer, useless against the small screw head
its to help prevent the shock from coming off the ball joint
The servo is a Reefs 99.
Kinda.
@@TheShopMiniRC I mean to say its OEM from Reefs.
Or is it AGFRC that everyone is OEM including Reefs?

Thanks for the awesome video. I have the same shocks but both springs are too soft for the weight I am running. I'm running mine on a WPL truck so I can't check what I'm about to ask. Do you know if the stock TR4M springs fit the Injora shocks. Traxxas has springs which look like they work on the Injora shocks. Would you be able to confirm? Thanks!
Yep! they sure do I pulled one off and the stock spring is about 5mm shorter but much more stiff. They also fit the injora spring perch nice and tight! Seems like a good option!!
@@TheShopMiniRC Thanks!!! I will look into getting a set of stiffer springs.
Broke one of those servos in under 3 2s 450mah packs. Yes endpoints were set and no binding. Broke teeth off the output gear...
Crazy. We haven’t heard of a lot of issues with them and haven’t experienced any yet. Maybe just unlucky?
@@TheShopMiniRC yeah, my luck isn't the greatest sometimes.
