The order of songs here is changed; the beginning of Ted's concert is at 9:20 on this video. After strapping on his guitar and greeting the 350,000 attendees,, at 9:45 he strums a chord and realizes someone has completely messed up the tuning - Ted looks back over his left shoulder at his guitar tech whom you can see standing there with outstretched arm to swap out the guitar, but Ted opts to tune it right on stage with everyone hearing everything through the PA. Then he plays the opening number of the show, Gonzo. People watching this video may see this occur at 9:45 and wonder, "How did his guitar suddenly get so out of tune between songs?" Now you know.
No that's completely wrong, he opened with 'Cat Scratch Fever'. 'Gonzo' was the encore after 'Motor City Madhouse'. That's why the guitar is out of tune. I was there, and the soundboard recording of the show confirms this.
@@outoforder2162 I stand corrected. He switched guitars for the encore to "Blackie" and once on stage realized he'd been handed a sadly out-of-tune guitar.
