Not only that but Final Fantasy is the reason I really started getting into vg music in the first place. FF6 was the first ost I actually saved up money for and bought as a kid. Not only that but I saw Earthbound Papas live and actually got to meet Nobuo in person and it blew my frickin' mind! He is the coolest dude ever! So I now feel an even more personal connection to his music than any other game. Like I said though, don't worry about it. There are still plenty of other games we wanna do.
Can't believe it took me 12 years to hear this. The YT algorithm came through today! The two biggest soundtracks from my childhood that remain with me are Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy. Exceptional job
This is by far the best Final Fantasy 1 guitar interpretation I have ever heard. All others are too fast and do not carry the deepness of the emotion, they are too superficial and rushed. This one is PERFECT 10/10. Congratulations SuperGuitarBros. It moved me.
Matt Hannam Hi, sorry I've just seen your reply. Yes indeed DaisukeMinamizawa2 also has excellent guitar interpretations of Final Fantasy music. Thank you for your recommendation.
Of course! We've been talking about both of those games, especially Cross, for a while now. Of course whenever we do it its going to be a big one so its gonna take a lot of time to learn it and arrange everything. So we will do other games in the meantime. But to answer your question: Yes. -Steve
Thanks so much! That's probably one of the best things you guys can do for us is share these videos with everyone you can. It really makes a big difference. Thank you. -Steve
Thanks! After we record a few more songs we will be putting an album together for you guys to throw moneys at. In the meantime there are websites like UA-cam To mp3 DOT COM that you can use to convert to mp3. -Steve
Thanks. Its a new logo. Made by FoxxDragon who does LOTS of other video game related artwork. I love his style. There's a link to his website in the song description. You should go see his other work. -Steve
You weren't the only one. I enjoyed it very thoroughly because of the soundtrack. It was an amazingly well composed exclusively orchestral soundtrack. Honestly, i have no idea why people never mention that. It made the game, IMO.
I wouldn't worry too much about this. It will be a while before we come back to any games weve already done. Yes there will be Pilotwings, yes there will be Megaman, yes there will be MORE Castlevania. I was pointing out that more than any other series we will probably be coming back to this one more than the others. Why you ask? Because there is so much music to choose from that we can't possibly fit it all in a 6-7 min video. Even just one game like FF4 has ridiculous amounts of awesome music.
This has got to be my favorite track from you guys! I can tell you care about every note, every rise and fall in the tempo, and it makes a fellow gamer grin proudly (and maybe even weep a little). Thank you for all you do!
Hahahah!! Whenever I start playing that, anyone who is around and hears it will start shouting "You're my boy Blue!!" I keep trying to tell them that its not the same song but whatever... -Steve
Hello. Start of 2021 here. Thank you for this - it brought tears to my eyes, and amidst a very difficult last few years, has brought me back to times of safety, wonder, and creativity. These melodies and memories will forever live in my heart - thank you for fostering this, and I hope it brings peace to many others for years to come.
I guess it depends on who you ask: If you've played Crisis Core then I guess it is Angeal's sword. But if you haven't and you've only played FF7 (like me), then no, it's Cloud's sword. -Steve
Amazing, the amount of content you could have used from the FF series is massive but i like how you pulled three great songs and did an epic job on them awesome stuff guys can't waint for the next melody
I haven't played Crisis Core so I don't know anything about Angeal. I'll agree that it was Zack's sword first but since I only played FF7 that is Cloud's sword as far as I'm concerned. -Steve
Dude that's just beautiful the way you guys do this so well together. Made me tear up a bit listening to this simply magnificent display of talent and art.
Diggin' that the guys are wearing Magfest shirts. Even after I moved to LA, I still head back to DC for that show. One of the best Video Game cons in the country! Saw these guys are on the docket for 2014. I'll definitely be catching their show.
Thanks for the suggestion bburchet. Yeah I got those strings a couple days before the video so they were especially chirpy. I'll try your idea next time if its doing that again. -Steve
OMG brought back a lot of memories. This game drove my mother crazy, but I loved it since it was my first RPG. Remember coming of age and the masmune, excaliber, war mech, etc.... Wow thank you
Truly inspirational, guys. A lot of time and effort must have gone into this - both in terms of arranging it and playing it, as well as making such a quality video. Top job!
+chiffmonkey Heck yeah! Tetris Attack is one of the best puzzle games ever! I still play it every once in a while. Still have my SNES sitting right next to my ps3 and ps4.
We definitely have other FF medleys in the works. We've talked about doing Scenery of Spira whenever we get to a FFX medley. We just used one camera. The closeup shots were recorded afterwards while the shot of both of us was recorded at the same time the audio was recorded. I'm not sure what microphones we are using but we each have a mic going through to the studio where Sam's dad records us using a program called Digital Performer. -Steve
Thanks. That's awesome. You sound like a friend of mine who lives in Alabama. We are working on tabs but we're also busy working on the new song + other stuff but we will have more soon. More than anything we are just trying to get the next song finished. Good luck and have fun playing guitar. -Steve
This is awesome. Im not sure if being old enough to remember the song is a good thing, but I had completely forgotten about it. This got me right back in nes/snes mood :) Well played! Brings back memories
OUTSTANDING! You guys are super awesome! You both work extremely perfect with each other and make the song flow through our souls and make us feeling in the heavens... Thanks to upload such a great song! I also love final fantasy! Keep making videos... Hugs and take care both of you ♪♫

It's wild you met Nobuo. My top three VG composers are Nobuo Uematsu, Koji Kondo, and Bun-Bun, and I appreciate you for covering them all!
Can't believe it took me 12 years to hear this. The YT algorithm came through today! The two biggest soundtracks from my childhood that remain with me are Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy. Exceptional job
Tears in the eyes of many old FF Players when hear this, FF6 and previous . Are so rich on compositions. This is the best medley i had ever heard
isnt it quite nuts how nostalgic the good ff music is. it makes me cry like a sensitive soul
lmaooooooo NIGGA
I've probably watched this video about 400 times, and this is the first time I've noticed that buster Sword replica! lol!
as a guitar player myself i didnt notice it at first either i was busy watching them play ahah
His tuning knob makes it look like there’s a poke ball on the sword 😂
I keep trying to come up with some phrase to describe how nostalgic I feel when I hear the main theme, but I find myself at a loss for words.
OMG!! i fell exactly the same
The closest for me is the German word 'Sehnsucht'.
Ohhh like the old Rammstein album. I just learned something new!
This is by far the best Final Fantasy 1 guitar interpretation I have ever heard. All others are too fast and do not carry the deepness of the emotion, they are too superficial and rushed. This one is PERFECT 10/10. Congratulations SuperGuitarBros. It moved me.
Check out DaisukeMinamizawa2. His playing is great as well.
Nailed it.
Matt Hannam Hi, sorry I've just seen your reply. Yes indeed DaisukeMinamizawa2 also has excellent guitar interpretations of Final Fantasy music. Thank you for your recommendation.
I agree
FF1 didn't have chocobos or the chocobo theme. ;)
this is the reason why i love ol FF series
great cover great song great tune
thank you super bros and thank you Nobuo Uematsu
Wait, weren't you trying to destroy it?

Yes! That would be an awesome one.
I really enjoy the contrast between the steel and nylon. Best arrangement of the FF prelude I've ever heard.
4:55 - I felt that those Chocobo's in the farm are on the beach, sipping margarita.
Kweh?

Its been nearly 10 years since you did this video. It'd be cool to see you do this again. Show how you've changed and improved.
Am I the only one who feels like they received a blessing after listening to this?
you are not the only one :'3

I LOVE the combo of acoustic and classical. You guys made the Prelude sound like Dust in the Wind! xD Epic.
Hahahah!! Whenever I start playing that, anyone who is around and hears it will start shouting "You're my boy Blue!!" I keep trying to tell them that its not the same song but whatever...

love that Cloud sword in the back as well as the music
Zacks buster sword
This almost makes me want to cry. Very beautiful. Keep it up!
From one guitarist to another, you both play like a BOSS...A FINAL BOSS!
Was anybody else instantly weeping to this? Fucking beautiful!
I guess it depends on who you ask: If you've played Crisis Core then I guess it is Angeal's sword. But if you haven't and you've only played FF7 (like me), then no, it's Cloud's sword.

Most excellent! And the title is perfect. This is the theme everyone commonly knows as the 'prelude'.
This was exactly what I wanted, and you guys did not disappoint.
What an amazing arrangement. I've loved all your works, but this one just blows me away every time.
Nostalgic... Reminds me of the first Final Fantasy games on the SNES and the ones on PS1
Haha i love the fact that the fret slides in chocobo theme sounds like birds chirping! x)
Freaking awesome.

Dude that's just beautiful the way you guys do this so well together. Made me tear up a bit listening to this simply magnificent display of talent and art.
The intro gave me chills
one of the best medleys I have ever heard

Gentlemen, EXCELLENT composition and performance! Thank you for sharing your videos with us. I look forward to your next project!
Gotta love the Buster Sword in the background :D
best rendition of the chocobo song of all time. they need to put it into the next game!
The Chord at 4:07 made my skin crawl, man that was heartfelt
Its been 10years when i first watch this video... and now.. 2030...i 'm still listening
An absolutely beautiful and harmonic masterpiece of tribute to such a wonderful series. Bravo to you both. Simply wonderful.

Steve's fingerpicking and tone are the coolest parts of this cover.
Man this is so relaxing.
You two got some major Talent.
Great stuff.
I really hope that you guys release some more videos including more with you two playing after the tour!!
I absolutely love your chocobo theme!!!! It is the best one I have heard on youtube!

This is fantastic guys. Greatest game series of all time if you ask me.
Beautiful brings back memories when I played Final Fantasy
Love it. Takes me back to playing the original Final Fantasy on NES and IV & VI on SNES. Keep up the good work, guys!
Gotta say, you guys never fail to impress.
Also, I'm digging the new icon. Or at least the icon that I may have never noticed before.
BEAUTIFUL!!!, I really want to grab my console and play FF all over again!!
Bet you guys could do an incredible cover of some Tetris Attack! tracks. Such an underrated game OST that.
+chiffmonkey Heck yeah! Tetris Attack is one of the best puzzle games ever! I still play it every once in a while. Still have my SNES sitting right next to my ps3 and ps4.

Goosebumps all over.....
I was smiling from ear to ear watching this !!
acoustics sound noticeably warmer played with fingers than with a pick. i love hearing it played right.
Thanks. That's awesome. You sound like a friend of mine who lives in Alabama. We are working on tabs but we're also busy working on the new song + other stuff but we will have more soon. More than anything we are just trying to get the next song finished. Good luck and have fun playing guitar.

Thanks Dom! By the way I liked your Secret of Mana piano video!
This was really awesome and it gave me a nostalgia rush.
Now that the video is finished we are working on tabs for this one. It's gonna take a while so be patient please.
-Steve
The piece @ 3:48 should be the universally accepted aisle-marching music for weddings.
Go hear FFXII at the load file screen
@@IgnizNova hell yeah. I get so pumped
The Final Fantasy medley never fails to put a smile on my face ^_^! Good job, guys :)!
Very nice. Note for note, perfect.
You guys are magnificent. FF video is my favorite, remember so many games down the years with this music, lots of memories, youtube at it's finest.
Amazing guys. I love the mix of nylon classical and steel acoustic strings. A nice full body of sound.
liked the Cloud's Buster sword in the background
Go bros. Another musical triumph. Excellent execution and the video looks fantastic. Nice graphic work at the head.
This is awesome. Im not sure if being old enough to remember the song is a good thing, but I had completely forgotten about it. This got me right back in nes/snes mood :) Well played! Brings back memories
I got chills this is VERY awesome
I'm in Brazil, and i have to say, you guys are great.
I totally agree. The story was very lack-luster but the gameplay, combat and level system was very well done.
You guys are two of my favorite (video game) guitarists on UA-cam. You need more videos!
Pretty much. The Metroid medley was in Drop D but everything else we've done is in standard.
I love it, just finished the metroid medley, and I know this one is going to be great as well.
Now this is music! It doesn't need lyrics to tell you it's message.
The Chocobo medley was awesome!
Yeah.
OUTSTANDING! You guys are super awesome! You both work extremely perfect with each other and make the song flow through our souls and make us feeling in the heavens...
Thanks to upload such a great song! I also love final fantasy!
Keep making videos...

You are right. That is something rare with games nowadays.
just amazing, i can listen to this music any time and get excited, thanks for offering it w/ a different perspective.
AHHH the way you guys play Chocobo's Theme
Perfect.
Awesome acoustic and I noticed clouds buster sword in the background 😎
