Sure thing! Life (and youth baseball) is way short to take it as seriously as some coaches and teams take it. I love the game, playing hard, and winning just as much as the next person - but gotta make sure we make those memories first. Glad you agree!
It actually happens more than you think! Players move up and down the ranks all season long so there have many players who just move up and make it to the mlb 👍
Yes. That's how they come up. I was fortunate enough to get scouted, and knew a lot that went to the minors. I also know of a few that went all the way. Its tough like he said.
If you mean did they progress up the levels and make it to major league, yes. Now for any one season for any one rookie league team, maybe one or two ultimately make it. For example, Joe Mauer started out with the Elizabethton Twins and made it all the way to the Hall of Fame. If you mean do they go directly from rookie league to major league, that is very rare. One guy on the Cardinals rookie league team was a Rule 5 draft selection maybe 6 or 7 years ago and was required to be on the selecting team's 40 man active roster; so he did go from rookie to major more or less directly. Since I can't remember him any longer, my guess is he didn't stick for long in the majors.

Sometimes washed out MLB players want to make a comeback and they may play few games at single A or even a rookie level.
