I’m impressed by the lyrics of the song and how connected he is while singing, you def can tell he wrote that little by little thinking of he’s hometown friends.
Ayyaz hashmi I gotta say that he was awesome on his own but now he is collaborating with people like Cardi B and imo it’s going to be his downfall. He needs to stick to what he’s good at and that’s awesome songs on the guitar and singing. I’ve been playing guitar for a long time myself (since 16 on and off to 35 today) and he makes very complex songs on the guitar that come together beautifully and I myself have a hard time keeping up with some of his songs. Put it together with that great voice of his and he makes some really good acoustic music. I just wish he’d go back to his roots and stray away from collaborating with the wrong artists like her for example. They are two totally different music styles that do not go together at all. He is a good artist but I see him slipping away lately and it’s a shame.

What I love about this lad is that even though he's so big around the world he hasn't allowed that success to go to his head and inflate his ego or his sense of self entitlement. He's still the same man who busked on street corners and he never lost touch with his roots either. He still hangs out with his friends from his school days, he's a genuine and down to earth lad and any good cause that's anywhere near him he'll drop in and support it however he can. He's the definition of what a role model a musician should be to the younger generations and that is even though you're talented and driven you should also be humble and stay true to yourself and never forget where you came from. Every other musician and band can learn a lot from the lad. Never change Ed!

I remember hearing a producer back in the early 70’s saying that the most amazing performance he ever saw was Cat Stevens with an acoustic guitar playing Father and Son in his office. This reminds me of that. From a guitar standpoint, it’s not that hard to play but it’s very challenging to play and sing the lyrics - in time - and with that emotion. This is every bit of Father and Son. I’m 60 and I do believe that the greatest rock and maybe even pop is in the past, but damn, Ed is amazing. He’s a call back and would flourish in the 50’s and the 2020’s. Love this guy!

Really not that hard in this instance. Not to discredit his songwriting ability but this song, as with most pop songs, can be played by just moving two fingers. Play a G chord and your ring and pinky fingers don't have to move for the entire song. Wonderwall, for example, is exactly the same.

I remember hearing a producer back in the early 70’s saying that the most amazing performance he ever saw was Cat Stevens with an acoustic guitar playing Father and Son in his office. This reminds me of that. From a guitar standpoint, it’s not that hard to play but it’s very challenging to play and sing the lyrics - in time - and with that emotion. This is every bit of Father and Son. I’m 60 and I do believe that the greatest rock and maybe even pop is in the past, but damn, Ed is amazing. He’s a call back and would flourish in the 50’s and the 2020’s. Love this guy!

Really not that hard in this instance. Not to discredit his songwriting ability but this song, as with most pop songs, can be played by just moving two fingers. Play a G chord and your ring and pinky fingers don't have to move for the entire song. Wonderwall, for example, is exactly the same.
