I don't care what anyone else says, this was the most beautiful floor exercise of the evening. A real breath of fresh air to see someone care about fluency and artistry.
I dont think this is the most artistic or correctly choreographed routine of the evening, but its top 3 for sure. Music is prety, and its piano, but doesnt mean necesarily that ballet equals artistry in gymnastics, dont JUST fall on the russian fallacy of ''everything slow and ballet-y is artistic''. Morgna expresses a lot of emotion than that with her movement which makes it really good tho.
Once again a beautiful routine underappreciated by American judges. International judges would appreciate the pure artistry in this routine a lot more.
the only thing you can appreciate with artistry is not adding artistic deductions, but theres really no bonus for it. Her leaps and landings werent really great so 7.8 is a fair score for this exact routine
@@pedroh8915 Morgan, on average, gets higher execution scores on floor by World judges, as does Jade Carey. This is not my personal opinion; the numbers are proof.
@@catecraig2487 Exactly. Morgan has a month to get fully healthy and get all of her upgrades into her programs if she's really going to be competitive. I get why she didn't do bars and vault this time around, because they would put a lot of pressure on her arms, but she's got to be able to do all four events and finish in the top ten to have a realistic chance of making the Tokyo team and she's got barely a month to get up to speed. She didn't "peak" in 2019 and missed out on the team going to Worlds so nothing is certain for her. Not with the level of talent the US has.
this felt a bit underscored in E-score tbh. her double pike landing was the only error, the rest including choreo was wonderful. FYI she went for this 5.1D routine below: double layout (F) full-in (E) memmel (D) switch 1/2 (B) front layout (B) + front full (C) switch ring (C) + split leap 1/1 (C) split jump 1/1 (C) double pike (D) she's capable of nearly a point higher in D-score using some of the upgrades we've seen from her on the olympic channel and social media (6.0D): silivas (H) double layout (F) front full (C) + front double (D) = 0.2 cv full-in (E) memmel (D) double L-turn (D) switch ring (C) + gogean (D)
Love the music and choreography!! Always been a big fan of William Joseph's music. Morgan looks great considering her recent surgeries and injuries. Hoping for the best for her! She's always known how to peak at the right moment.
Morgan please take out that weird little lunge 1/2 after your split leap full!!! But, absolutely beautiful routine and choreography. This is probably my favorite floor routine of hers!!! I’m loving the Memmel.😍and I’m so glad she brought back the elbow stand finish!
Morgan should bring back her Silivas. Her form gets really bad on the 2nd salto of her full twisting double back and she still lands with low chest anyway.
honestly she used to do front full front double but i think she'll at least do her front lay front double in addition to silivas, and double layout and double pike.
Floor really needs to go back to 3 tumbling passes! I notice all these gymnasts running out of steam on the 4th tumbling pass. They are human at the end of the day. These gymnasts deal with enough injuries so why in the world would they feel it's necessary to add another tumbling pass instead of allowing gymnasts to focus more on other aspects of their routines?? Grr!
She is least a dancer. Remember Ónódi Henrietta. In her time a floor routine was what a floor routine should be. Nowdays most important is difficulty. I really appreciate Simone Biles, but I’m not sure her jumping around made a sport better.

I couldn't agree more! She really shows her artistry, it's so pleasent to see! I hope she makes the team 🤞🤞🤞🤞

I wish choreo counted more because this is so elegant and beautiful.

@@cantor7723 Execution is proof actually.
I am sure this routine will only get 7.6 execution in Tokyo. Even flawless Chiles routine in QF only get 7.7 E-score
I truly hope I’ll see Morgan in Tokyo !
the most beautiful ending i have ever seen.
i LOVE this routine! her choreo has always been stunning, and this year is no different 😍
Morgan always has lovely floor routines.
I really hope she goes back to her full difficulty, because I don't think she'll make the team without it. Regardless, beautiful routine
This is great considering she had two surgeries in march.
It’s the begin the season, she’ll peak at the right time :)
FrancesBaconandEggs It’s the beginning of the season? Olympics Trials are next month.

She brought back her final pose!!
Her smile at 1:20! Great to see an athlete enjoying her routine!
This is pure art

FYI she went for this 5.1D routine below:
double layout (F)

front layout (B) + front full (C)
switch ring (C) + split leap 1/1 (C)
split jump 1/1 (C)
double pike (D)
she's capable of nearly a point higher in D-score using some of the upgrades we've seen from her on the olympic channel and social media (6.0D):
silivas (H)
double layout (F)
front full (C) + front double (D) = 0.2 cv
full-in (E)
memmel (D)
double L-turn (D)
switch ring (C) + gogean (D)
front double (she doesn't do that in years) and full in at the end are super unrealistic
@@shehamforash I mean she did the front double at the American cup.....
The only dancer in the entire team. Beautiful

Love the music 😍
The ending though!!!
YESSS!!!
please be on the team
That leap on beat was fireee
Lovely air splits
I don't know how this routine only got 0.5 higher in execution than MyKayla's routine...make it make sense
I love Mykayla but I agree with you, this routine from Morgan was so well executed
Last pass was like 0.8 in deductions, almost as a fall...
Pretty routine 💕
What a cool ending
Morgiboo! 💖💕🤸♀️💐YES QUEEN!👑🤩
Gorgeous routine but what happened to her difficulty?
She had two surgeries just two months ago in March, she will upgrade steadily
Putin poisoned it, I think.

This is the first meet for many this year. Chill
He had two surgeries in March, I’m sure we’ll see upgrades by nationals and trials
Oh, Morgan… so sad you are not going to Tokyo…
Nice👏
her E-score sounds super harsh
Was she injured? Lower tumbling difficultly....beautiful artistry though!
She was, she had two surgeries in March
my dream morgan tumbles would be moors, silivas, front layout full, double layout
honestly she used to do front full front double but i think she'll at least do her front lay front double in addition to silivas, and double layout and double pike.
Why was Morgan the only one scored as if it weren’t a domestic competition?
she wasnt lmao. everyone got hammered.
