I am speechless ! As a person who stutters, I can sympathize with all of them . A well made video that without a doubt deserves more views ! Congrats !
Thank you for this video ❤ I’ve had a stutter since I was 8 years old and for the first time ever, I’m in speech therapy at 38 years old. My speech therapy recommended this video ❤
TA! great video! I am odd one - stuttering started when I fell when I was older, not when I was a child. I am more cognizant of my stuttering than are the people I speak to. Most people are "yeah, you stutter, so what?" HOWEVER, I do not wish people to change the way they act around me because I stutter. One new acquaintance told me he consciously altered the way he spoke to me because he knew I stuttered. He is 'outgoing' and will finish people's sentences, but not around me. Look, I am still a human (I think). Do not treat me differently please - just do not tell me to "relax" or "take a breath"! Food for thought: do people who talk using their hands think they have an affliction? Or people who say 'you know' ? Or those who cannot look another person in the eyes? etc.... Everyone has an idiosyncrasy. Take pride in who you are.
Used to have that problem due to anxiety. Got rid of it by reading out loud often. Eventually went away after it slowed down. Speaking loud enough when talking to reading out loud firmly can work to deter stuttering problems. Journey in speech strength value confidence works by constant practice.
I have a lisp I'm getting surgery soon to fix my gums and I will have speech therapy and my lisp will hopefully disappear I kind of don't want my lisp to go it's part of me
Very interesting video. I am 18 and I stutter since the age of 10 and would like to meet some more stutterers. Because of the stutter I got social anxiety and over the years I learned to accept my stutter but before I didn't accept it. Please some one message me.
As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, I have worked with PWS. I think if you can get to the cause of your stutter, you can get to the cure. I have found the cause of 100% of my clients. Stuttering is caused by a traumatic event between the ages of 2-7. Any thing from a dog barking in a child's face, to a child seeing someone get shot! This is the spectrum that I have worked with. A lot of people can't remember what caused their stutter. But the subconcious remembers everything. So with Hypnotherapy it is easy to get to the traumatic event. Now that you understand what caused the stutter, now you can let it go from your mind and body. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your time.
Thank you for your comment, finally someone figure out the same thing, I found this out only after 15 years of struggeling, that stuttering is actually a coping behaviour/mechanism in which I block some suppressed emotions/feelings from some traumatic event I don't remember. In my case in particular, this traumatic event did not happen in this lifetime, but in some of my past lives, I am pretty certain about this due to various reasons (I can describe in detail if necessary). So basically it is a problem for a transpersonal psychologist. I am still working on it, but the progress is very slow, it is very dificult to get to the trauma. It want's to be suppressed and it is very strong. So definitelly I don't want this to be part of me and I am happy that someone helps PWS with this!
