Have you ever been to a town that made you feel like you were in another country??? We LOVE Germany and it's culture, so Leavenworth was right up our alley!!
Hmm… That’s a tough one. If you want to get some hiking in on your visit (Colchuck Lake was what we were wanting to do), I would say 2 nights, but if you’re just looking at doing the main town area, one night would be enough, and you’ll get some time in Seattle which is a beautiful city!
My wife loves Germany and I am German. For some reason she never wants to drive far up to Washington. Seing your video she just changed her mind THANKS !
Oh wow!! That makes our heart happy!! 🥰🎉 it’s definitely worth visiting! Not the real thing but it’s as close as we can get here in the States! Haha 🤣🤷🏼♀️ Thanks for making our day with your comment!
I love peeking in on the live webcam feeds of all over the world occasionally. This video was recommended next so I was excited to see a more in depth look at this adorably quaint town! Such a beautiful & outgoing couple! New sub!!

I spent all summer here in 1976 when I was 15. My uncle and aunt moved here in the early 70's to begin the Bavarian theme for the town. My aunt Velma had an art gallery and studio on Front street. This kid from Oklahoma was changed forever. I cant wait visit again after 47 years. I wanna ride the coaster.😁
What a cute town. It would be beautiful at Christmas time. Ice cream is a perfect solution for the afternoon slumps. Being pooped on by a bird is supposed to be good luck at least. Thank you for taking us along in this lovely day xx

Wow what a change since 1967, the last time I visited from Calgary with the whole family, celebrating Canadas Centennial year since Confederation together with our family along with a tent trailer which my dad rented for the three weeks we stayed in the U.S. for a whopping $75 dollars at the time! Great times!
We were there in 2012 and after watching your video, I really want to go back again. Thanks for all your amazing photography and love all your videos. You are my faves. 🤗❤❤👍👍
Hi guys! I live in Leavenworth and work downtown. I like seeing my little town thru a different lens so thank you. Leavenworth in winter is magical! I've also been there in 104 degree weather and then it's not so magical, lol. I'm fortunate to only be 3 hours drive from Leavenworth, although, I haven't been there in about 7 years. Need to visit soon!

Hey you guys!! So glad to see you made it to my backyard!!! We were there in April and had an amazing time as always. Looks like you guys hit most of our favorite spots. I hope you got a chance to go to Cured which is next to the gelato place. Great beer and brats👍 And from someone who’s been to Leavenworth many times at Christmas it’s like a winter wonderland with lots of snow, lights and amazing decorations up and down the streets. But it’s absolutely beautiful no matter what time of year you go. And of course the impromptu food tour was awesome. You can’t go to Leavenworth and not go to the gingerbread house and get some sweets (the cakes are life changing) or brats and potato salad. And a brewski to wash it down 😂😂😂 It also looked like you were there just in time to enjoy our cottonwood trees. Those things are everywhere and the cotton blows around for months. Anyway I’ve rambled on too long but great video you guys and awesome drone shots. I’ve never seen that area from that point of view. Loved it!! P.S. We just discovered you while researching a trip to Washington including Leavenworth. You two look like you had so much fun, and you really have great chemistry together. We can 't wait to see more of your videos. We live in GA, near Helen. So we definitely want to see Leavenworth. Next time you are in the Atlanta area, check out a great German bistro in Duluth, GA called Kurt's. It's much more authentic and nicer than what we've had in Helen. Leavenworth and the Cascades look like a German wonderland. Prost!
Aww... We're so glad you found our channel! That's awesome that y'all live near Helen! Natalie has family down that way. Ok... We'll have to check that out on our next Atlanta trip! Thanks for the recommendation! Leavenworth is definitely worth a visit if you ever find yourself in the area! Thanks so much for watching!😊
My favorite restaurant is King Ludwigs just down the street from Kris Kringle (Christmas store). Great German food and good beer. On weekends they have a band playing all the polkas you can want and you can make a fool of yourself doing the chicken dance.
That one was on our list too! Unfortunately didn’t get a chance to check it out. We’re definitely going to make it a priority for our next visit! Always love a good polka band! Thanks for the suggestion! Who knows… we may even make fools of ourselves by doing the chicken dance! Haha… Thanks for watching!
Leavenworth is a lot like Helen GA. Started out as a logging village and then was transformed in the 1970s to a Bavarian town. Both are beautiful. BTW, I was pooped on my head by a bird!. Nasty to try to wash out. Thanks for all the great videos.
Great video! Really shows the whole town and it’s awesome you included the bird poop….that was hilarious. We were close to that town recently but didn’t have time to stop. Definitely have to put it on the bucket list.
I went looking for a blog about Leavenworth and your's popped up. You two are adorable! So fun to walk along with you. I'm homebound and so it makes me feel like I've traveled :D We have Solvang here in SOCAL and it has similar feel but it's not German ;) Thanks for so much fun I'm now a subscriber!! Was 45 and had never been shat on until... we went to Santa Cruz beach and were out on the ward, when a bunch of kids came running through and stopped right where we were then threw a bag of breadcrumbs up in the air. What seemed to be a million seagulls *much bigger than crows... flew straight up in the air and when they did that of course they shat... and only I got hit. So bad I had to buy new clothes and hit the restroom to wash my hair we laughed about that for years!!!!! LOL still laughing :D
Right?! We didn't know it existed either until we started researching what to do in Washington! We're super glad we found it though! Thanks so much for watching!😊😊
Leavenworth is my happy place. My daughter and I down a weekend there every January and several day trips throughout the year. It seems like you may have missed our two favorites in Leavenworth- Schocolat, the best hand made chocolate truffles you can get and the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm, where you can feed and interact with Reindeer (advanced booking highly recommended). Both are must do activities for us anytime we go.
It is absolutely wonderful!! Love that you go every year with your daughter! What wonderful memories! We only had one day & like you said they were booked up! But it’s on our bucket list for when we come back! Thanks for the recommendations!

Hello, I am really enjoying your travel videos, thanks for sharing with the world. Leavenworth at xmas time is magical and a must-see item on a traveler's bucket list. first 3 weekends they have a lighting ceremony, and you can get day trip bus tours from Seattle and even here in Vancouver Canada where I am from. Cheers and happy travels.

Loved seeing this town via your eyes. I graduated HS in Munich Germany and lived there for quite a number of years, so seeing places like Bavaria makes me feel like home. I now have this on my bucket list for my RV travel. I just was at my Munich Reunion in Helen,Georgia which is another Germantown, but Leavenworth seems even more like home.
Hey Brad! Thanks for the comment! I (Nat) grew up in Mainz & this felt more like Germany for sure! Totally recommend. Definitely not the same but it’s as close as America is gonna get! 🤣😜 Hope you have so much fun in your RV! Let me know if you’ve done any of the Christmas festivals in the US! We would love to check some of them out!
Hey DJ! Thanks so much for watching! We love Leavenworth as well! We didn’t make it to the Nutcracker Museum, but we did pay a visit to the cheese shop and it was great!

Wow what a amazing town!! And a even better video guys 👍👍 you just keep getting better!! Nice to see usa opening up for the uk, roll on next june 🇺🇲🇬🇧🍺
It gets 2.5 million tourists a year. That's 5 times what Big Ben gets. 3 times that of Stonehenge. And roughly the same as Yellowstone Park. The sole purpose of Leavenworth is tourism.
Hey Guys, We Just got back from our next getaway ( with no cell or wifi 😱) Loved your video! Food tour! Food tour! …. Loved the bloops at the end. Btw… looks like Nat was having way too much fun at the bird crap scene! lol.. 😂 Anne & Eric 😎🎬🎥👌 P.S. These drone shots are looking « sweet » 👍

And yes, Nat was having way too much fun at my expense! 😂 Thank y'all so much for watching! I'm still learning and trying to perfect my craft with the drone, so thank you for the encouragement!😊 -Matt
Pretty expensive for us Canadians! When I saw the prices just after the Zenf or mustard products! We add about 50 per cent to that with our low dollar!
Love Andreas Keller Restaurant! It is weird to see it so empty. When you revisit near Christmas time, be prepared for huge crowds, though! ;-) Whomever wants to go there in Winter, see the Lights up, but hates crowds, come in January or February. The lights are kept up until Valentine's Day, or so. Akso, places like Pension Anna and the Post Hotel (awesome outside spaw with snow around it) are cheaper then.
Aw... Thanks so much, Jack! We just had some friends go there not too long ago and they told us about it, but we haven't had the chance to visit! Seems like a fun town though!
Cute town, I hope to visit it sometime! In Texas we have a cool German town named Fredericksburg. Also in Little Rock, AR there is a really good German food restaurant called The Pantry Restaurant :)
You should've tried the Schweinshaxe. They rotisserie it in a bag so it gets a crispy fat bark. I forget the name of the restaurant, but it's the one where you had the jager schnitzel.
If you want another place for authetic German dishes, there's a place in Kelowna, British Columbia (yes, canada) called Wood Fire Bakery. I know it doesnt sound like anything special, but their german comfort food there is to die for. In particular, get their braised ham hock. About 5 hour drive east of Vancouver.
Wo ist das Wienerschnitzel und der welke Blattsalat und der Apfelsaft? As a child of an American family in Germany during the sixties, this is what we often ate. P.S. The German wilted salad wasn't nearly as nice as what Google images shows today! Also a German Mark was worth 25 cents back then. Boy, did the Dollar go a long way at that time!
@@AdventuresofMattandNat My sister has been to Leavenworth, but wasn't too impressed during her visit. I sent her your video, and she is raring to come back and give Leavenworth a second chance! Thanks for changing her mind more than the mere words of her brother ever could!

Omg! You make me wanna travel to Leavenworth this week. Any other things you could recommend during spring time? Have you done the coaster ride? Thanks.
Fun fact, if a crow poops on you, there's a 60% chance that you made the mistake of making eye contact with it while eating, and then didn't share. They are smart enough to be spiteful, and to pass grudges onto their children.
It's spectacular during the winter. There's a tree lighting festival each year. There are 4 live Leavenworth web cams here on youtube, so check them out because all the Christmas lights are up.
Yeah I've been viewing the webcams there. There were about 3 different views during the holidays. I used to live in Bremerton Washington but I have never been to Leavenworth.

Looks like so much fun! I've always wanted to got to Leavenworth, WA with my family. Hope I get a chance some day.
IT really was so much fun!! Hope you & your family get to go! It's totally worth it!
Wonderful video 💞👍🏻👍🏻.. i am watching Leavenworth Live on all three camera..and saw ur video too . thanks ❤️😂
Aww… Thanks so much!!😊
How cool is this:..... this will be on my 2022 must check out places in the US .... I love exploring ....
Yes Absolutely check it out!! It is sooo beyond cute! You won't regret it!
Wow, pretty impressive! I live in Munich, Bavaria, the home of the only O'Fest. I will not be going to visit Leavenworth, I see this every day.....
Bahahaha 🤣 well of course you wouldn’t! Haha we’re excited to be back in Munich again in September!
Leavenworth is a lot like Helen GA. Started out as a logging village and then was transformed in the 1970s to a Bavarian town. Both are beautiful. BTW, I was pooped on my head by a bird!. Nasty to try to wash out. Thanks for all the great videos.
I am from Nepal and I love hiking . Still I'm hiking there are still lot of mountains 🤣 left to be hiked. You guy's are awesome
That’s so awesome! We would love to visit Nepal one day! We’ve heard it’s beautiful! Thanks so much for watching! Safe hiking!😊
Hahaha thanks so much!! 🎉👌🏻 Hiking is great! Thanks so much for watching & for the comment! Hope you have a merry Christmas & a great new year!
🎅🏻☃️🎄🎁🎅🏻 Great video little monsters 🎄🎅🏻☃️🎁🎅🏻
Thanks so much!!🥰🥰
Leavenworth Cider House is my personal favorite. ❤️
We’ll have to check that out on our next visit! We did hear good things about it! Thanks for watching!😊
Great video! Really shows the whole town and it’s awesome you included the bird poop….that was hilarious. We were close to that town recently but didn’t have time to stop. Definitely have to put it on the bucket list.
Hahaha… Glad you enjoyed the bird poop bit! And yes, Leavenworth is definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area! Thanks so much for watching!😊
Great choice for a place to visit. I had no idea that this town existed. Thanks for the fun video.
Thanks for the recommendations!
wow! very beautiful scenery
Right?! It was so beautiful! Thanks so much for watching!🥰🥰
Hi guys, I just found another one of your amazing videos to help us prepare our trip in August. Keep up the good work, you do a great job 😊
Greetings from Cologne, Germany
Chris & Pam Travel Buddies
Aww... SO FUN! We hope y'all have an AMAZING trip! We're happy that you found the video helpful! Also... We love Cologne! such a beautiful city! Thanks for watching! 😊
You two are so much fun, keep at it. It's very hard to establish that subscriber base. It will happen. You just got to keep going. Once you hit that 10,000 mark, it will start to take off
Aww… Thank you so much!!🥰🥰 We really appreciate the encouragement more than you know!
We were here about 8 years ago. We loved it too. You two are a fun couple to watch. I loved this beautiful vlog. Great drone shots! Thanks!
BTW...seagulls can bomb equally bad!! Haha...
Aw… Thanks so much! And thanks for watching! Haha… I haven’t had a run in with a seagull… yet! 🤣🤣 Safe travels!!
@@AdventuresofMattandNat The last town I lived in was Mainz and worked across the Rhein in Wiesbaden. Small world
Love, love, love Leavenworth! I didn’t see you go into the Nutcracker Museum or the cheese shop, but always worth a visit too. Loved your video 💛
Hey DJ! Thanks so much for watching! We love Leavenworth as well! We didn’t make it to the Nutcracker Museum, but we did pay a visit to the cheese shop and it was great!
Oh my! Wills is gonna love this, he is Mr Christmas and loves a pretzel and a beer. Heaven on earth. Great Vlog guys. I really enjoyed this. Cute town and beautiful lakes and mountains x
Aww thanks so much guys!! We appreciate y'all watching & leaving us a comment! Ahh LOVE that!!! Christmas is pretty amazing & so is BEER & Pretzels!! So we would absolutely get along! haha If ya'll haven't been to Leavenworth absolutely check it out!
Hope it's with German Bier! That is heaven on it's own!
@@agems56 German beer is amazing!!!! 🍻
You better believe it! 😂👌🏻🎉
I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!! (counting down days to put up decor)
SAME!!!!! It’s just around the corner! 🎉🎄
You two are fun to watch! Nice video of Leavenworth, our own little Bavaria in my home state.
Aww… Thanks so much!!😊😊We loved Leavenworth and Washington as a whole! It’s so beautiful! Thanks so much for watching!🥰🥰
Munchen I thought it was Bayern
Hi you two! Another amazing vlog. Oh my the food and the pretzel 🥨 the size of your head looked awesome. And the bakery 🧁 such a cute town. Anyway much love too you both , have fun stay safe God bless 🙏👍
Hey friend!!! Aww thank you so much for taking the time for watching! That pretzel was sooo good! 🥨 it really was such a fun town, it was nice being in Germany without a passport! Lol 😂 God Bless friend!
I found you guys this past weekend by chance checking out your Madison video. You guys are so fun to watch. Great content guys!!👌🏼👌🏼
Thanks so much, Clenton! We’re so glad you found us! Thanks for watching!😊
Wow what a amazing town!! And a even better video guys 👍👍 you just keep getting better!! Nice to see usa opening up for the uk, roll on next june 🇺🇲🇬🇧🍺
Aww… Thank you so much!!🥰🥰 And yes… finally opening back up!!🙌🏼🙌🏼 Woohoo!!!
As someone who lives a bus ride away its suprising that people would think of leavenworth as a tourist destination
It gets 2.5 million tourists a year. That's 5 times what Big Ben gets. 3 times that of Stonehenge. And roughly the same as Yellowstone Park. The sole purpose of Leavenworth is tourism.
Hey Guys,
We Just got back from our next getaway ( with no cell or wifi 😱)
Loved your video! Food tour! Food tour! …. Loved the bloops at the end. Btw… looks like Nat was having way too much fun at the bird crap scene! lol.. 😂
Anne & Eric 😎🎬🎥👌
P.S. These drone shots are looking « sweet » 👍
Hi guys!!👋 Hope you had an awesome getaway! Haha... Thanks so much! You know... when the food is good, you just roll with it! Lol... And yes, Nat was having way too much fun at my expense! 😂 Thank y'all so much for watching! I'm still learning and trying to perfect my craft with the drone, so thank you for the encouragement!😊 -Matt
Oh yeah Matt, watch out for those crows my man. They can be deadly!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Pretty expensive for us Canadians! When I saw the prices just after the Zenf or mustard products! We add about 50 per cent to that with our low dollar!
Yea, specialty imported goods like Zenf definitely aren’t the most budget friendly. But man, is it good! Lol… Thanks for watching!😊
I loved being in Berlin, cant wait to visit this place next week
Yess… We spent a week in Germany back in 2019, and Leavenworth made us miss it so much! Lol… Enjoy your time in Leavenworth!
Love Andreas Keller Restaurant! It is weird to see it so empty.
When you revisit near Christmas time, be prepared for huge crowds, though! ;-)
Whomever wants to go there in Winter, see the Lights up, but hates crowds, come in January or February. The lights are kept up until Valentine's Day, or so. Akso, places like Pension Anna and the Post Hotel (awesome outside spaw with snow around it) are cheaper then.
Right?! Andreas Keller was great! Thanks for the tips! Excellent advice! And thanks for watching!🥰
Liked the vlog episode, I will view some of your other vids, have you ever been to Frankenmuth, Michigan? It is very much like Leavenworth, WA.
Aw... Thanks so much, Jack! We just had some friends go there not too long ago and they told us about it, but we haven't had the chance to visit! Seems like a fun town though!
Planning a trip to Washington next year! I loved your video as always!
Aww... So fun! 😊 Thanks so much for watching!
Nice. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!😊
Damn, this makes me want to go there and I live here.
Haha… This is probably the best compliment that we could receive! 😂 Thanks for watching!
Such an awesome video!
Aww thanks so much! 🥰 We had a lot of fun!
WOW THAT'S QUITE A BEAUTIFUL VLOG
LOVED THE MOMENTS WHILE WATCHING
Aww thank you so much!! 😊 We appreciate you watching & your kind comment!!
@@AdventuresofMattandNat
Welcome
Do visit our channel👍
We sure will!
Love Nat as a pretzel head!!!!
Hahaha... That was one of our favorite parts of the video!!😂
my aunt and uncle are 2 of the owners of icicle brewery 💀💀
Cute town, I hope to visit it sometime! In Texas we have a cool German town named Fredericksburg. Also in Little Rock, AR there is a really good German food restaurant called The Pantry Restaurant :)
Ohh writing those down now!! That sounds awesome, we will have to check them out! Thank you for the suggestions & for watching!!
Boy, did the Dollar
go a long way at that time!
Wow! What amazing memories you must have! Different time for sure! Thanks so much for watching!😊
@@AdventuresofMattandNat My sister has been to Leavenworth, but wasn't too impressed during her visit. I sent her your video, and she is raring to come back and give Leavenworth a second chance! Thanks for changing her mind more than the mere words of her brother ever could!
Surprised you don’t have more subscriber. Well done content
Aww🥰🥰 That means more than you know! We’re working on it! Lol… Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!😊
Loving this. Absolutely loving it! Another good job. There’s something about you two. Keep the vibes coming and the success will follow. Hello from Chester, England (Again) 🤙🏻
Hey Paul from Chester England!! (again) lol We are so happy to have you back! Thank you for watching & for your kind words! We are really having a good time, wish I could edit as fast as we travel! hahaha

Great volg…. Had a great time watching and laughing 😂 Keep up the good work!!
He didn't shat on his pants a bird did lol haha but he wasn't happy! lol Thank you soo much for watching! We had a lot of fun!
A lot of Washington Wineries in Leavenworth. Wine tasting is fun, it’s def a thing there :)
Oh, good to know for future visits! We had no idea! Thanks for the info!😊
Omg! You make me wanna travel to Leavenworth this week. Any other things you could recommend during spring time? Have you done the coaster ride? Thanks.
That's an awesome little town,I would love to see a bear, but not up close 😆 😉 😄 they say play dead if you see one,but I'm running .
Hahahaha... I feel the same way!!! 😂 -Matt
Fun fact, if a crow poops on you, there's a 60% chance that you made the mistake of making eye contact with it while eating, and then didn't share. They are smart enough to be spiteful, and to pass grudges onto their children.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the nice video 😊...
Aww thanks so much! 🥰 We appreciate you watching!!! Have a great day!
Great video ! Nat your smile brightens up the day, are there other things to do in this cute Bavarian town ? Thank You
It's spectacular during the winter. There's a tree lighting festival each year. There are 4 live Leavenworth web cams here on youtube, so check them out because all the Christmas lights are up.
I bet so!!😍 We’ve send pictures and it looks amazing! Oh ok! We’ll have to check those out! Thanks for letting us know!🥰
Is there a kriskindle market ❓🎄
You guys are very funny and simpatico couple, abraços.🇧🇷🇧🇷
Aww… Thank you so much!!🥰🥰 And thanks for watching!
So weird to see another town like "Little Bavaria" Frankenmuth, MI (Michigan's #1 Tourist Attraction!).
Right?! We've never been to Frankenmuth but have heard great things!
exceptional video
Thank you!😊
I never knew that looked anything like a Bavarian village. I've never been there before.
Yea, they’ve done a great job at replicating a Bavarian village! Definitely a neat experience!😊 Thanks for watching!
Dude! You need to seriously be giving Nat at least 10,000 kisses a day!
Yum. A Linzer Tart.
Right?! So good!🤤
Love the drive from Seattle. ❤❤❤❤❤
Right?? It’s beautiful!
The town has a couple web cams ,and it's Christmas in Leavenworth!
Yeah I've been viewing the webcams there. There were about 3 different views during the holidays. I used to live in Bremerton Washington but I have never been to Leavenworth.
Speaking of Deadwood. Winthrop Washington was just north where you were.
We will have to check it out! Thanks for the suggestion!
