- Barcelona starts the carnaval with traditional arrival of Queen Belluga, the queen of Carnestoltes at Palau de la Verreina, along La Rambla. After the spectacular show, there’s the Taronjada, an orange confetti battle and then a spectacular fireworks display.

Hello sir we’re in Barcelona now, does this Taronjada happen again on Sunday? Or it would be great if you could let us know where to go for Carnaval. We are leaving on Sunday. Sorry it’s just the program is in Spanish and Catalán.
Hi Miss, no it won’t happen again on Sunday but there are many carnaval parades on saturdays in different districts. Also if you have time the biggest carnaval event will be on Sunday in Sitges, about 35 mins away from Barcelona City center. You can google search, Barcelona Carnaval 2023 or Sitges Carnaval 2023

@@more.pasta.no.dramaaaa I can imagine, because Carnaval in Barcelona City is not as big as those in other cities. They celebrate it by districts, a smaller version. I hope you’ve seen the carnival in Raval district yesterday, and the different carnivals for today
