So it takes one human lifespan of labor to change the clutch on one of these things...

I just did a clutch on a mitsubishi rvr 4d68 4x4 and was pissed had to take so much crap off.
Now watching this '97 1200lt gonna be a bigger b!tch to deal with.

Those 14mm internal swing arm bolts will not move on mine, done pen oil, lots and lots of heat, broke several 1/2 drive sockets and not even the slightest bit of movement out of them. They are all that's holding up my project....

Quite a few of the critical fastners should be heated to soften the threadlock, especially on the swing arm pivots.

There really shouldn't be threadlock on there...

Why have you removed a section of your 30mm socket?

Omg!!! I was thinking I may try it myself, but now I think I will pay to have it done. Is the 2004 the same??

Good afternoon. Dear friend, tell me the options for how to unscrew the bolt on 14, which is on the left side, where the conical bearing of the foot attachment is. As it turned out, my head itself was broken off by 14, it was before me. I will be very grateful for your advice. (at 4.00 minutes). HELP with advice!!!

Hey!! Thanks for responding. I was afraid you was gonna say that. Its a very nice 99 model 1200 LT i gave 2800 for it. I sure dont wanna go threw all that to put in a new clutch in it. Its got a lil over 60k on it. I had one before same model and everything had 225k on it. Run and operated like new. I gave that one away and got this one with less miles ,thinkin i was upgrading. Lol! Wish i had my old one back.

14mm one side ,,,,,15mm on the other....so you don't need two of everything to remove a part! BMW or common sense?
