this is one of the best missions ever in this one you get to fly an AH 64 Apache Gunship. this mission can be tricky there are six bases in the city each has it's own threats so you need to be ready for them. the first base and the fourth bases contain Triple A, Radars, and SAMS destroy them or they willl get you and dodge the missiles if they are fired. bases two three and five have Snippers who will shoot at your chopper with AK47s and Stingers use the Apaches 20mm Mechine Gun to take them out. Base Six has a Tank hit him with rockets or use a Hellfire be careful he could target you so get him before he gets you. when the firing stops the rebels will take Red Moon out and load him into a Truck DON'T USE MISSILES! use the 20mm Mechine Gun to take them out but don't hit Red Moon if he dies the mission fails. two of the bases will launch Hinds use the 20mm Mechine Gun or hit him with Sidewinders or you can just hit him with your Rockets.
The helicopter missions were the best part of assault horizon, I wouldn't mind a helicopter focused spinoff. These missions did for chopper jocks what the ace combat series did already did for fighter pilots. Project Aces should bring them back for Ace Combat 8.
I wish they had more helos in this one. If I remember correctly they just had the Apache and Hind. Would have been cool if they had the Tiger, Havoc, and Super Cobra. Maybe even a OH/AH-6 Cayuse
when staifing trucks go for the leader it will cause the convoy to stop all you have to do is blast them. the last convoy of trucks has the Trinity Bomb in the back destroy them before they get away or destroy the bridge.
I can understand ya, Ace combat 3 on ps1 doesnt have frames on the scene, HUD is also good. Newer games have frames on cockpit and the HUD isnt friendly, I prefer bare screen like AC3

Aside from possible hardware limitations, that system allows a pilot to basically become the plane, and everything is relayed to the brain which is sort of why there was a clean first-person view. The game desperately needs a remake. AC7 foreshadows a lot on AC3.

I prefer DFM to traditional combat, but theres no problem if they go with the latter Also, I do know a bit bout the COFFIN cockpit, but didnt know that it relays info directly to pilot's brain.
