Virtual Desktop now allows passing eye/face tracking data over, so both work with VD now!
Thanks so much for the detailed tutorial, it's been a nightmare maintaining calibration of 8x trackers + knuckles without continuous calibration!

I just wanted to say thanks for the video. I got the Quest Pro when the price dropped and got back into VR way more than I thought I would, especially VRChat. I decided I wanted to go FBT but wasn't sure how feasible it would be. I only knew I didn't want to go with a full index kit due to the amount I had spent on the Pro and the fact that I had already discovered with previous headsets that being tethered all the time sucked. I had resigned myself to waiting for the HTC standalone trackers or slime trackers. Instead, I basically replicated the setup in the video with 3 base stations, 4 tundra trackers (the extra one going to headset continuous calibration like in the video) , and just added the knuckles. It's pricey to do, but if you got the cash or already have some base stations or trackers it can lessen the pain. I do have a nice PC but I was shocked how well everything is working together so far. I was expecting a lot more friction with the setup and a lot of software bugs, instead things so far have just worked. It isn't even too hard to get setup as long as you have a little bit of computer savvy.
Edit: Oh, one other tip. If you're like me and part of the reason for going this direction is full wireless FBT/FaceTrack, you can buy an AMVR Neck Battery or two. They are comfortable enough to wear for a while and extend battery life for the headset a couple hours.

Once I plugged it into the back of the computer's USB-C port directly into the motherboard it is working perfectly. Completely charging the Pro without disconnecting Link!! Whoooo hooooo!! Hey man! This is awesome! I have a Pro on the way, one thing I didn't hear or see about were watchmen dongles. I know the index can be used as one just by not logging in the DVI connector. I might get a tundra tracker for that continuous calibration. First time I have heard of it and seems like the solution I needed.
One time calibration would mess up during game play and my left hand would be lower than where it is.
Also AMVR has a link cable with power injection that keeps the headset power at 78%, but it doesn't mention Quest pro only Quest 2. So I hope that works.

The Power injector hub worked at first. But then when the Quest Pro reached near 100% power the unit shut off, causing the HMD to lose link connection over and over. Also, y'all should be really careful about using the power injector. I read on the Quest site that power charging the battery can damage it. Not sure how reliable that info is, but for the price of the Pro, I'm not sure I want to risk it.

That's literally what this video is about, showing you how to use index controllers with Quest devices
There are a few options for you.
      A) If you buy base stations, you CAN use index controllers with quest using openvr space calibrator (link in video description.)
B)As an interesting alternative; If you use Virtual Desktop, it has a new feature added in the last month or so that lets you use the finger tracking of the quest and it will automatically emulate an Index Controller using your hands. (Downside is you can't move using the joystick unless you switch back to the controller, but it's pretty quick and easy to do this.) It actually tracks fingers pretty well and at the very least is fun to play around with and costs you nothing in hardware to try out.

Idk, maybe im dumb or something, but even after using the PowerShell script the quest pro controllers don't disappear. And if i try to disconnect them (even with the index controllers connected) the headset tells me it can't find the controllers and gets stuck in the oculus menu telling me to press the +/- buttons at the same time to exit (which ironically still does nothing)

But, Base Station Tracking isn’t perfect either. I have noticed drifting hands as well. Not sure what is causing this. But, every once in a while I will have to Turn my Valve Index Controllers off and Re-pair them to the PC to fix this issue. You can vastly improve the pro controllers tracking quality by removing or tunning down very bright light in your play space. The tracking is for a good part based on the cameras in the controller itself, and those are quite sensible to bright lights.
I've run multiple tests, comparing them with index controllers, and they're just as good, and in some cases, almost better, as long as you have the proper conditions.

QPro controllers are much worse when precision in high speed movements is needed (i.e. Beat Saber).
