Great video, good angles. Those coming here should take note of Jasons' versatility. The shots show him playing various parts of the lane, which is good for those trying to emulate him. Notice his hand at the release for each part of the lane he's playing. Master your release, master knowing how to change your hand at release for each part of the lane. Most of the time your hand will change as you play different parts of the lane. Last, bowling is a game of feel, never give up, keep practicing and learning each time you hit lanes!
A one handed release. He just uses his second hand as his thumb. He is the best bowler in the world and I hope to someday bowl against him to win a championship much like Norm Duke beat Earl Anthony (his favorite) to win his first title.
bosoxdanc true...I just wish more people realized that. I’m a two handed approach guy as well. Jason’s the one who brought it to my attention, got me fixated on it, and now I can’t imagine any other way to bowl.
Music makes me feel like he’s playing for his life, came out from retirement but someone in the yakuza held his wife and children hostage. He was told that unless he came out of retirement and joined their international bowling team that he won’t see his family ever again. However, because he has been out of the game for so long, he didn’t have the same technique as he once had. Sushi and the gyoza team we’re getting frustrated because of the decline state that Jason showed. It shows a brief montage of him going around the city, pondering in his thoughts with everything that’s happened, and not too far, 2 yakuza are following him with their cup o noodles in hand. Jason remembers what Pete Webber said: you wanted you got it!!! Belmonte, with anger and disgust in his eyes, turns to his creepers, takes out his storm bowling ball, and proceeds to knock both of his would be attackers to the ground. Showing his beautiful 2 handed bowling technique. Knock both down repeatedly. His movements are fluid. They are clean and beautiful to watch like a Samurai perfecting his cut of delicious wagu beef. Finally, the scene ends and there’s just his eyes on screen. As the camera backs away, we see Jason’s clear face with sweat dripping down his face. Showing all the struggle he’s been through these last few worthless moments of your life reading this have finally paid off. He’s family is saved, his happiness is resorted and the yakuza have offered their apologizes for The trouble they have caused. They aren’t yakuza but restaurant owners that have had financial issues and thought this would be a good way to bring people back to their business. The end…
I have been wanting to learn how to bowl two handed for a while. I throw with one hand, but the two handed style just seems very unique, and you get a lot more pin carry which is what I’m looking for. I would love to meet Jason Belmonte or Osku Palermaa and learn from them
I dont see any reasons why two hander launch is controversial. If they see it as an advantage then why not do it themselves? I guess its up to whats more advantageous for you.
If they are all two-handed players, it may not be interesting to watch. Sports should be all about competition and not about Oil Pattern. axis rotation, rotation speed are trained and maintained in the game. This is a sport. So this can't enter the Olympics. Bowling has never stopped being lonely from the 1980s to the recent era. We all love bowling. It should be explored why people don't stop from the remote to watch bowling or walk into the arena.
Seth Parrow There is actually a way to avoid relying on the top hand. I don’t personally do it as much anymore, but when I was first starting out, the top hand would cause me to pull the ball if I kept it on too long. The way I fixed it was when I get to my power step (the hop-skip that goes into the slide), I begin to focus on where my left heel is, and I try to release my left hand from the ball when my swing is aligned with my heel. I know this isn’t going to work for everyone, but the only real way to rid it is by practicing a lot.
Danny Erives my top hand also gets really sweaty, which doesn’t help at all. I’m thinking that if I tuck the ball in by cupping It with my wrist. I can get a faster swing and have a more straight arm back swing.
Not criticizing the music but using it here is totally out of context with watching Belmo in slow motion. Belmo is smooth and the music does not fit the rhythm of his movement. In that respect it is the same as the previous music from last year which was also out of synch with the movement. Thanks for the video but try to use an appropriate sound track.
I have to get my hair fixed today so I'm not going back home now but will have the best time for me for you guys for your birthday and the day we have been there in two minutes for lunch to make the reservation at least once we have an opportunity i am going to be in the office tomorrow morning and then I'll be back in the next week and then I'll be back to the next few weeks that the new government would not allow us on any issues or the app and you get this message for your iPhone in case you're trying something else and the kids don't have anything in your house but,
God my form looks so much like his, and as much of a good thing as that is, I hate it so much. I'd rather be my own person than be the copy of simeone else, no matter how good they are. But Belmo is a good one to copy I suppose, even if I didn't mean to

Every two-handed bowler releases the ball one-handed, you can't legally release it two -handed.

Danny Erives I just realized that Jason releases 1 handed
Exotic.Butter this isn’t a joke, is it? But yes, the release is one handed. Hence why it is more properly called the two handed approach.
Danny Erives nope I’m kinda new to bowling 2 handed so I thought that meant two handed release
Would have liked to see more of his footwork
He uncoils , stays behind the ball and allows his hand to resume its natural position . Simple , but I cant do it .

The Stephen Curry of bowling!
Name of the music please!
Does anyone else rely on their top hand a lot? Like if it slips or moves then the whole ball trajectory is messed up.

Seth Parrow do you make sure both hands get air before you step up? That’s a big part in the two handed approach.
Danny Erives yeah, i also use the powder sack.
ちょ、最後かっこよすぎんか
Jason doesnt need holes.
Only two.
Two hands. Two fingers. No thumb. No wonder he gets the revs he does.

TOTALLY AGREE!
This music is a rip off of Dirty Love, by Zappa.
