It's such an easy rabbit hole to go down. This year I'm gonna be a little more thoughtful with my purchases and sample a lot. You definitively need to try out navitus. So far they've been pretty good.

Burberry intense is so pretty I still don't understand why they discontinued it but elixir more than fills that void. I love the creaminess of that one. I'm adding it when sephora has their spring sale. I have to try that layering combo asap

I have to take a hit when it comes to Valentino Born in Roma. I bought it, wore it a couple of times and had to return it. I still hear folks calling it their ride or die but it’s just too much for me. I wish I knew the note that I don’t like.

Chi Chi, we are scent twins!! I HATED, when I say HATED Mont Blanc Signature because I too fell for the orange creamsicle hype!! I did finally get the orangesicle from Ferragamo Amo (oldie) and Initio Musc Therapy blew Mont Blanc Signature way out the field!!
It’s really a thrill buying perfume. My current favs: penhaligon Luna, penhaligon highgrove bouquet. Boss the scent. Versace Eros. A few cheapies that I like that I can’t remember off-hand. Jo malone wood sage and sea salt. My current struggle: Tiffany and love. I just can’t…. Like I put it on and it smells great. But, after a few hours, I am like… where do you go? It’s a fricken struggle.

Just about my whole collection are blind buys. You are right. It’s the thrill of it all. I didn’t get Nishane Ani initially but now it’s one of my favorites. Anything with a heavy patchouli note I cannot do.

I can't blind buy perfumes. Have to do extensive research and smell tests before purchasing. Just returned Kayali Vanilla 28 the other day. Doesn't even last 5 minutes on my skin. Can't pay that kind of money for it to require another perfume to work.

I already have huge dents so they're getting used up. PS, my hubby said VR smelled like old lady potpourri 😂 so it's one I don't wear on date nights, it's a "for me" scent lol!
I am binge watching your vids and must agree I absolutely hate Vanilla Royale. My fave notes are vanilla, boozy, musks, saffon, and patchouli done right i.e. Mugler’s Angel. I hate Ouds, Lavender and Rose scents the most unless they are done right. For instance, Eau Rose by Diptyque is a beautiful rose scent you should try and Oud for Greatness is nice. I hate Delina, but love Delina Exclusif. Weird, right?! I love MB signature and do not get orange sickle😂

I did a blind buy of Chloe Nomade Absolu and whilst it’s not awful it’s just not me and I never reach for it so lesson learnt, however I blind bought all of my Kayali’s including your fave vanilla royale 😂 and love them all!
I am so with you on Montblanc and Instant Crush! Umm, no ma’am. I decluttrred Venom of Love (it just didn’t wow me) but I’m enjoying Chcoclate Queen. Love Orchidee Vanille and Burberry Intense (both were blind buys) and now I want Burberry Elixir. Escapade Gourmande was another successful blind buy for me this past year.

The quickness with which I returned Mont Blanc signature is flat out disrespectful. UA-cam lied to us! It does not smell good at all. It doesn't smell bad but to me it smelled like medicine. I was not about it 🤣
I own 6 Navitus parfums: Venom of Love, Ediola, Chocolate Queen, Creme Imperiale, Raised Spirits, and Absolutio. I recently bought Divine Aphrodisiac on another blind buy which smells like a sexy peanut butter, I am so obsessed with it. I like it better than Chocolate Queen and I love to mix it with Venom of Love, which smells like chocolate covered cherries. But you are absolutely correct. Blind buys can be very expensive. I can't tell you how many high-end niche perfums that I purchased for $300+ that were just ok or complete flops. For example, I recently purchased a bottle of Antonio Croce "Ardente" on another blind buy, and it smells good and very expensive, but it don't last at all. My problem was assuming that since he worked with Tiziana Terenzi's on her perfume line thats his would be equally the bomb. Boy was I freaking wrong! Another $300 down the drain. I'm definitely going to start buying the discovery samples first.
I wanted to blind buy divine Aphrodisiac because of that peanut butter note but I'm scared. I also hear great things about absolutio. I have no clue why I still haven't mixed vol and cq so I'll be doing that tomorrow lol.
Majority of my purchases in 2022 were blind buys. The ONLY blind buy I didn’t like was unfortunately Kayali Sugared Patchouli… I returned it with my eyes wide opened lol. My sis blind bought Ani for me while in Turkey and at first we we disliked it but within twenty minutes that Vanilla smacked me in the face. Love it and will always associate it with my big sis ❤
I wish vanilla Royale worked out for both of us but the way the vanilla in ani creeps up on you and drapes you in that luscious vanilla make you forget about that opening.
THANK YOU ! Someone else smells Carmex with the Kayali one. It was an immediate scrubber for me. Every time I say it smells like Carmex but worse, people look at me like I am crazy because they think it is the best scent ever. We must have a similar taste in perfume. Instant Crush was also a blind buy fail for me, Baccarat where?? It does not smell like it at all to me.

Growing up in an Asian household, I'd smell these medicinal Carmex-like ointment scents all the time and I'm so SICK of it LOL. I can't do oriental fragrances. I love vanilla 28 and fought with the opening for a lil because you still get that slight medicinal scent in the beginning before you get to that beautiful middle and dry down. So if I'm already fighting the Vanilla 28 opening, I'm probably gonna have an all out war with the Vanilla Royale 😭😭 Thanks for helping me save money Chi chi!!
If you're fighting with Vanilla 28 I wouldn't buy vanilla Royale. That opening is very pungent at least on my nose. I wish they would do a patchouli free version.
I bought Angelique Noir my first super expensive perfume after watching so many reviews. It's not awful, but I thougtht it would be more vanilla-y. Now I wear it every day just b/c I spent so much on it...I now want to by Ani..after your review
Aww you're making me nervous about angelique noir. The more I discover vanilla the more I notice that the expensive ones lean more green or spicy where some of the less expensive is cupcake vanilla.
The reviews on Nishane Ani had me hyped. But upon first sniff I immediately thought "wtf is this" lol. The dry down makes it better but I'm still on the fence
That opening was something not a lot of people talked about in their videos. They they skipped right to the vanilla so when I first got it I had a full on Idris Elba hot ones wtf moment lol. But the vanilla in the drydown was worth it.
I blind bought a lot over the years. I will say dior Addict was the biggest disappointment to me. I thought it was supposed to be this seductive vanilla but all I smell are pine needles. Idk why it’s still in my collection. I’m hoping I change my mind about it maybe 😅
I took a risk on Chanel's Misia, love it, Meliora, love it, M MICALLEF'S Note Vanille, adore it. I haven't had too many perfume regrets 😕 actually ah lie. I bought a bottle of Hundred Silent ways from Jomashop and I didn't care for the smell of it, it just wasn't beautiful like the one I tested at the Neiman counter, so I gave it to my son. It’s crazy how all of our noses can smell something so different when smelling the exact same thing lol… my absolute worst blind but was that kayali royal i returned it the next day… and I absolutely love Burberry her the original and the elixir , but that intense version I could not get with! Idk it smells nothing like the original to me
I love when we pick up on different notes. Vanilla Royale was tough for me to work with so I let it go. I'm so ready to add Burberry elixir this spring. I feel like it's a creamier version of the og and intense mixed together.

I thought instant crush smelt like saffron.. string saffron but I’m not sure!! When it settles after an hour… it smells soft, good! But I hate smelling it from the bottle.. it too strong 😂
Hmm maybe that's what I might be smelling in addition to the ginger. I'm not a huge fan of ginger because it usually pulls masculine on my skin. But when I wore this the woman said I smelled so sweet lol.

It's a cute bottle, though lol I love the Baccarat, but my husband and son HATE IT, not dislike it, HATE IT 😭 I have to apply it in the car for girls' night out or whenever I won't be around them so I don't get to enjoy it as much. OMG!!!!!!! I felt the same way about signature Montblanc!!!! I blind-bought that Sh** and was sooooo disappointed when I received it. Luckily, I only spray it on my wrist, and I almost throw up!!!! I brought a small bottle from Jomashop, and it was cheap, thank God lol. I have seen many videos stating it smells so good, and it's my signature scent. I'm not mad because I didn't pay much for it, but damn, I don't like that Sh** 😂😂😂. I love watching your videos. I know when I watch, I'm going to laugh every time. You are too funny!!!!
I'm glad I'm didn't spend a lot on signature either. I was tight in the titty when I sprayed it and it assaulted my nostrils. Had me and my room stinking all day lol.
Montblanc is everything I love in that type of scent with the freshness, but I feel like montblanc took 3 bags of white sugar mix it with lemon. Put it in that one 3.4 ounce bottle and sprinkle it with some marshmallows. It would’ve been a love for me, had it not been so sickeningly sweet. The day I sold it, was a good day.
Worst blind buy for me would most definitely be mugler angel, when I tell you when I ordered it from their official website I was TOO sure and confident I was going to love it based on UA-cam reviews and regular written reviews from different websites, when I got it and smelled it, I was so turned off to me it smells absolutely nothing like the notes said or what people described, the closest I can say it smells like is mothballs baby powder from back in the day (I don’t know what it smells like now 😂) and old people (I’m not trying to be rude or ageist, some old people have a distinct smell, a distinct smell like babies have) This is an in between good and bad blind buy tom fords tobacco fatale and tobacco vanille they both have a sweetness and vanilla to them that smells so good but the tobacco in them both throws me off, because my brain automatically thinks of cigarettes (the perfumes don’t smell like cigarettes), it’s not a smell I hate but I’d rather not smell it if I have a choice
Ooo anything that smells like moth balls is a no go. I go back and forth with liking/ disliking tobacco vanille. I try that one almost every time I go to the mall. I wish I could smell vanilla Fatale since people say it's a more toned down version of tv.

I wonder why ani doesn't develop on me, it is so linear on me/ drives me crazy. For me the best blind buys are royale vanilla patchouli, Zoologist hummingbird, vanitas, oud bouquet. Worst blind buys are ani, angel muse, shagaf oud, by the fireplace.

I wore it to the office today and the response was overwhelming lol, I didn't think it would be a huge compliment getter but it is. The fireplace smells like burning wood and burnt marshmallows on me, awful.

I like it better than Chocolate Queen and I love to mix it with Venom of Love, which smells like chocolate covered cherries. But you are absolutely correct. Blind buys can be very expensive. I can't tell you how many high-end niche perfums that I purchased for $300+ that were just ok or complete flops. For example, I recently purchased a bottle of Antonio Croce "Ardente" on another blind buy, and it smells good and very expensive, but it don't last at all. My problem was assuming that since he worked with Tiziana Terenzi's on her perfume line thats his would be equally the bomb. Boy was I freaking wrong! Another $300 down the drain. I'm definitely going to start buying the discovery samples first.
I wanted to blind buy divine Aphrodisiac because of that peanut butter note but I'm scared. I also hear great things about absolutio. I have no clue why I still haven't mixed vol and cq so I'll be doing that tomorrow lol.
Majority of my purchases in 2022 were blind buys. The ONLY blind buy I didn’t like was unfortunately Kayali Sugared Patchouli… I returned it with my eyes wide opened lol. My sis blind bought Ani for me while in Turkey and at first we we disliked it but within twenty minutes that Vanilla smacked me in the face. Love it and will always associate it with my big sis ❤
I wish vanilla Royale worked out for both of us but the way the vanilla in ani creeps up on you and drapes you in that luscious vanilla make you forget about that opening.
THANK YOU ! Someone else smells Carmex with the Kayali one. It was an immediate scrubber for me. Every time I say it smells like Carmex but worse, people look at me like I am crazy because they think it is the best scent ever. We must have a similar taste in perfume. Instant Crush was also a blind buy fail for me, Baccarat where?? It does not smell like it at all to me.

I really wanted to like it but that opening was too much for me. I usually like and dislike most of the perfumes you show on your channel and this confirmed it lol.
Growing up in an Asian household, I'd smell these medicinal Carmex-like ointment scents all the time and I'm so SICK of it LOL. I can't do oriental fragrances. I love vanilla 28 and fought with the opening for a lil because you still get that slight medicinal scent in the beginning before you get to that beautiful middle and dry down.
So if I'm already fighting the Vanilla 28 opening, I'm probably gonna have an all out war with the Vanilla Royale 😭😭

If you're fighting with Vanilla 28 I wouldn't buy vanilla Royale. That opening is very pungent at least on my nose. I wish they would do a patchouli free version.
I bought Angelique Noir my first super expensive perfume after watching so many reviews. It's not awful, but I thougtht it would be more vanilla-y. Now I wear it every day just b/c I spent so much on it...I now want to by Ani..after your review
Aww you're making me nervous about angelique noir. The more I discover vanilla the more I notice that the expensive ones lean more green or spicy where some of the less expensive is cupcake vanilla.
The reviews on Nishane Ani had me hyped. But upon first sniff I immediately thought "wtf is this" lol. The dry down makes it better but I'm still on the fence
That opening was something not a lot of people talked about in their videos. They they skipped right to the vanilla so when I first got it I had a full on Idris Elba hot ones wtf moment lol. But the vanilla in the drydown was worth it.

I blind bought a lot over the years. I will say dior Addict was the biggest disappointment to me. I thought it was supposed to be this seductive vanilla but all I smell are pine needles. Idk why it’s still in my collection. I’m hoping I change my mind about it maybe 😅

It’s crazy how all of our noses can smell something so different when smelling the exact same thing lol… my absolute worst blind but was that kayali royal i returned it the next day… and I absolutely love Burberry her the original and the elixir , but that intense version I could not get with! Idk it smells nothing like the original to me
I love when we pick up on different notes. Vanilla Royale was tough for me to work with so I let it go. I'm so ready to add Burberry elixir this spring. I feel like it's a creamier version of the og and intense mixed together.

Hmm maybe that's what I might be smelling in addition to the ginger. I'm not a huge fan of ginger because it usually pulls masculine on my skin. But when I wore this the woman said I smelled so sweet lol.
I love ani! Have you mixed royale with vanilla 28? That combo is what I that it would smell like on its own.
I mixed v28 and vanilla Royale and I think it amped up the patchouli. I liked it with eden juicy apple the most.

OMG!!!!!!! I felt the same way about signature Montblanc!!!! I blind-bought that Sh** and was sooooo disappointed when I received it. Luckily, I only spray it on my wrist, and I almost throw up!!!! I brought a small bottle from Jomashop, and it was cheap, thank God lol. I have seen many videos stating it smells so good, and it's my signature scent. Montblanc is everything I love in that type of scent with the freshness, but I feel like montblanc took 3 bags of white sugar mix it with lemon. Put it in that one 3.4 ounce bottle and sprinkle it with some marshmallows. It would’ve been a love for me, had it not been so sickeningly sweet. The day I sold it, was a good day.

Worst blind buy for me would most definitely be mugler angel, when I tell you when I ordered it from their official website I was TOO sure and confident I was going to love it based on UA-cam reviews and regular written reviews from different websites, when I got it and smelled it, I was so turned off to me it smells absolutely nothing like the notes said or what people described, the closest I can say it smells like is mothballs baby powder from back in the day (I don’t know what it smells like now 😂) and old people (I’m not trying to be rude or ageist, some old people have a distinct smell, a distinct smell like babies have)
This is an in between good and bad blind buy tom fords tobacco fatale and tobacco vanille they both have a sweetness and vanilla to them that smells so good but the tobacco in them both throws me off, because my brain automatically thinks of cigarettes (the perfumes don’t smell like cigarettes), it’s not a smell I hate but I’d rather not smell it if I have a choice
Ooo anything that smells like moth balls is a no go. I go back and forth with liking/ disliking tobacco vanille. I try that one almost every time I go to the mall. I wish I could smell vanilla Fatale since people say it's a more toned down version of tv.

I wonder why ani doesn't develop on me, it is so linear on me/ drives me crazy. For me the best blind buys are royale vanilla patchouli, Zoologist hummingbird, vanitas, oud bouquet. Worst blind buys are ani, angel muse, shagaf oud, by the fireplace.

I wore it to the office today and the response was overwhelming lol, I didn't think it would be a huge compliment getter but it is. The fireplace smells like burning wood and burnt marshmallows on me, awful.
