I'm a recent carnivore convert -about 3 months. Just closed out my 36 hour fast with a killer shoulder, bi, tri, calf circuit workout at the gym! One of my best workouts ever (don't have a ketone tester, but I'm sure they was flowing and ketoning!!💪🏽). Yesterday (day one of fast) I did my normal chest routine at the gym too which was excellent! ... This was my longest fast. I was gonna go 72 hrs minimum, but then I remembered I had beef thawed in the fridge already and didn't want to refreeze... Figured since this was my first 24hr+ fast, it was good enough. Ill be scheduling in the 72hr fast in the near future, and plan ahead with nothing thawed out initially! Should probably mention I still had my cup of black coffee before the gym. Also today I pounded down a LMNT electrolyte drink pre workout as well. LFG 🥩
I’ve always been told to rest during fasting as it can be dangerous to use up all your energy? I heard of a girl who passed away in the gym because she was doing a cleanse and working out in her fasting week…….so much different advice. I must say though, I have great workouts when I go to the gym on an empty stomach.
I am living on intermittent fasting because iam diabetic, I run and workout 5 day a week, feel great . Don’t workout the first day you try fasting, wait three or four days, until your body get used to that , because the first days you’ll feel a little tired
Right, you need protein to build and recover. So, where does the protein come from if you are doing a prolong fast and you try to do the same exercises as you used to.😂
@miloice74 no it's not bs. I was going back and forth to the hospital. Having irregular heart beats, anxiety attacks, pounding heart waking me from my sleep. I couldn't even walk around the block and yet they declared me healthy. I asked God to help me. An eight day fast came to mind. By day two, my heartbeat regulated. The four, my belly was much flatter, and the anxiety attacks went away. Once I was done, I was able to do small workouts and even walk around the block. Mind you I was only 180 lbs.
You know nothing about anatomy or biome or nutrition you just heard you needed protein at 10 years old and been regurgitating it every since well news flash protein is amino acids and amino acids come from the stored fat and cells in your own body when you fast thats why you produce higher hgh when fasting as oppose to stuffing your body with dead carcasses thinking that you’re healthy animals get their protein from plants protein doesn’t just grow in their body protein comes from plants, sir amino acids

that’s why you eat protein the days after and the night after workout there’s no fast police that you have to fast everyday
