Don't do it. It's not a good place to live at. If you want the great schools and a decent neighborhood . South Gilbert and South Chandler (Riggs road area east of Gilbert Road) are the best places to be. It's going to cost a bit more. But you get what you pay for. Lived there many years ago. Moved there in 2004. Raised my kids there. Both are colleges graduates and successful. I couldn't stand the heat anymore. Moved to Laguna Beach, near the water. Thanks to the killing I made off my properties in Az. It's definitely more expensive but worth it.
I live in Chandler so I can agree to this statement. However Maricopa does have its pros so I won’t completely rule it out. Thanks for commenting Raymond!
@@mgaraujo1220 All that traffic going thru no man's land. I would hate to have my wife drive thru there at night. There is a big reason south Chandler and Gilbert costs over 200 k more. You get what you paid for. I got tired of the extreme heat and moved to Laguna Beach, Ca. Sold my two houses in Az. Made a killing. Retired now. Now I enjoy the ocean views of the Montage resort. Paid a lot. You get what you pay for. AZ was great for raising my 2 kids. My son received a full ride to the University of Arizona. Playing football. He graduated with a 4 year degree in Atmospheric science. My daughter received her Bachelor's and Masters degrees at Arizona State. In Special Education. The Chandler school district is very good. If you have kids, don't live in the city of Maricopa. You would be making a huge mistake. If you can't afford to, try San Tan Valley. You always have them go to Basha High in Chandler which is a 20-30 minute drive. You might have to drive them everyday but it's worth the drive. You get what you pay for. Good Luck.
@@raymondsmith1945 so az is good for raising kids but not live lol sounds like you live in Maricopa and cant stand the new people coming in like the rest of the old farts.. as far as afford Maricopa is pricey i paid close to 500000 for my house who would go to California lol
I lived in Maricopa for 4 years and I wouldn't recommend it personally. It's not terrible unless you have to drive 347 every day to work and back. We moved to GIlbert and it's much nicer with far more amenities, just more expensive.
Planning on moving in the next 4 months so excited

Apache Junction will outshine Maricopa and San Tan Valley in the next 5-10 years.
Why you say this?

Who goes the Santa Cruz Elementary school
schools in Maricopa are horrible. MUSD is nowhere to send your kids. This is a great town to live.

All of AZ is a Con. Maybe only Flagstaff is a Pro
Flagstaff is beautiful I here, I am going there first time this month.
