I don't understand why that's insulting. The guy is asking if Travis is popular with young people. I'm baffled about why they considered that a slight.
@@Levacque I think it's because given all things are equal, this guy should be the brothers' peer but instead he just point blank assumed he only mattered to children. Plus he didn't even say "would my children" or "I think my children" implying some level of "I don't know what these kids are into these days" energy. "Do my children know who you are?" forces you to make a snap decision of "Do I matter enough for a stranger's children to know about me" I don't think there's a more devastating way to put it than the way he did
Give him the stick DONT GIVE HIM THE STICK is such a niche joke that made me laugh so goddamn hard thank you for that. Old school GI Joe PSA redubs made up a lot of my humor as a child lol
As someone with debilitating OCD, how they described intrusive thoughts is not accurate. Intrusive thoughts and impulsive thoughts are not the same thing, and equating the two leads to further stigma of mentally ill people with "scary" intrusive thoughts that are viewed as taboo.
that question about the little league games reminds me of how, when i was a teenager, my dad would straightup bribe me to go to high school wrestling matches with him and pretend like i was the one who wanted to go and dragged him along with me (despite me actually having 0 interest in watching any kind of sports, let alone high school wrestling.) because he worried that if he went alone, people would assume he was a creep. the truth of the matter is just that he never outgrew his high school "glory days" of being a jock and was basically living vicariously through these children, which is almost as bad, imho.
I actually grew up next to a park that had little league games, and they had hotdogs for a dollar. I would bring 100 pennies and buy a hotdog and just go back home, sometimes I would do it twice!
"Do my children know who you are?" Hhhhhhhhhhh that is the most direct Power Word Kill for podcasters I've ever seen. Ghoulish.

Nobody at that baseball game knows that none of the kids are yours, just don't talk about it with anyone and you'll be cool
