You have a lot of cults where you live or come from?
You both mentioned it being cult like, and i can see why, but to me it is just motivational (and bonding) and i never thought of it otherwise.
I am pretty sure that qdance does nothing to try to convince people to do weird harmfull stuff, but i'm sure it is a great tool to make people feel connected to the festivals and make them want to come back. The way the festival is set up makes me believe that the organizers do really care about the festivals and how people experience it.
