It kinda reminds me of Aragami, and considering that the studio for Aragami closed last year, i'ts nice that there is another one making stealth games.
damn they closed?? that's such a shame
Definitely inspired by Aragami. Not that it's a bad thing. More Aragami is always good
It's like the game Shadowrun but you actually do Shadow running
If you're enjoying this game, you may also like Aragami. Similar stealth and light / shadow mechanics, but in a Feudal Japan setting.
There so few true stealth games nowadays, each release must be celebrate. This game is a must buy for me.
That crouch walk animation.
What about it?
@@TankorSmash The character's knees collide with the elbows and it looks very frog-esque.
@@benlipstick oh at 2:15 going up stairs. looks fine otherwise, no?
The force of Aragami(2016) is strong with this one
Actually came to the channel today to highlight this, as the demo was excellent and the steam reviews are positive, but it seemed not to be getting much exposure (only 28 steam user reviews so far). Was delighted to see a video on this game already here - thanks for doing it!
I played the demo for this around Nextfest, and while I usually LOVE indie/AA stealth games like Aragami 2, Shadwen or Styx; Ereban was missing the a little something in the gameplay that made me wary of it. I might run through that demo again or just pick it up on discount but if it's between this or, say, one of the latest mimimi games, Ereban's not gonna compete.
Wouldn't be aware of this one otherwise.
Thanks for checking it out.
Thanks for covering this, I wouldn't have heard of it otherwise for sure.
I wonder if Roger Zelazny's "Jack of Shadows" was an inspiration for this in any way. Looks interesting.
Thanks for the video. It does look nice, but my concern with all stealth mechanics is that they tend to just become puzzle mechanics. Onward to 400k. All glory to the algorithm.
Man, the stealth takedown is quiet underwhelming. The overall artstyle looks nice tho
Yeah I was about to say the same thing
Nice one. Definitely like Aragami.
Not my genre of game, but certainly looks interesting and I dig the art style.
Looks like Aragami with robots
Played the demo of this during Steam Next fest and thought it was a fun game.
I'm getting a strange bit of Shadowman vibes from this.
Love it, demo was good. Indie and AA games are the best.
Reminds me slightly of Oni... i miss Oni, i wish they made a new Oni game.
Concept is pretty good but movements could hv been more fluid and smooth.
So this is basically Aragami ?
free comment.
hahahaha! I should watch all of your vids before I comment lmao :D
Good show sir
Stealth platformer is definitely not my thing
Gronk!
Mortismal with another banger
I'll check it out when it hits Xbox. It was announced at an Xbox event, I was looking forward to it hitting Xbox... and then I think they ran into a publisher issue or something and the plan changed to do the PC version first then the Xbox release. I just much prefer playing on consoles, but this always looked fascinating and I love me a good stealth action title, so I'm happy to hear the game turned out well!
If you like CRPG and isometric video games can you please look at Project Zomboid, both the Solo play and multiplayer servers have a lot to offer and even though it has been perpetually in Early Access there is a massive update called build 42 coming out this year, maybe you would like to get your hands before the new update and compare the two for new content? as well as maybe going over the long history it has endured to get where they are at now. A literal indie game by The Indie Stone studios.
Looks definitely buy-worthy
❤
The stealthing looks too easy. not seeing much of a challenge here.

Can we please stop using yellow to show interactable obstacles in the environment? RE4 Remake, Banishers and now I noticed some walls here have it too, at least it seems to be less blatant. This is the laziest visual cue possible... and a bit of a turn off in modern games
EDIT: I am not hating on the color itself, just its usage as the go-to visual cue for all sorts of environment obstacles/interactables and most of the time without any context to the setting
I know a lot of people hate on it but it makes it easier for newer gamers. Some gamers often forget that they have years of experience of what you can do in games (that inculcated gamer logic). Newer gamers, especially those that start later in life, have a harder time. For example, my partner is playing Half Life 1 (Black Mesa) yet sometimes struggles to find the correct path etc. Something that is wired into us, those that have played for a long time.
Also games have become more detailed, therefore making it harder to discern what you can do and where to go.
I know it might not be that visually pleasing for us hardcore gamers but we should be willing to give up at least some things so that more people can enjoy it.
At least a option to turn off the colors for that. It's not a net negative for me when these games include it, but im getting more waned by how up front they have been instead of natural exploration.
Seriously, people painting ledges like yes someone may want to climb this someday
@@MiligoranI played the original Re4 as a kid with no yellow paint and had no issues. I think you're trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.
@@harrymason4300 as a kid it is different + you are different. You are not the benchmark.
Niccce
first omg
Looks nice. These robots should respond to environmental sounds, e.g. when our jump is too great or when another robot nearby falls. It would be better this way.
