- Had a chat with a person on one of the Range Rover forums who mentioned a "F-Out" box that resets the P38 GEMS ecu to be fully immobiliser off without the need for an emulator.
So I did a bit of digging about and then decided to have a bash a making one as I know the security system and the way the security data signal is encrypted inside out.
This is the demonstration of my test ECU fully immobiliser removed after using the home made F-Out box that I have developed.
This is great to see as I’m using a 4-0 l gems in my truck and got to work all the loom out so I don’t have to use all the Range Rover gizmos lol thanks for the video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Anthony. The information is all out there on the internet as people have used these engines in many conversions / off road vehicles.
If I can help, drop me a message.
Hello I want to remove my immobilizer as I always have to do the eaks code to my car to start it
Hi Simon I've been looking for information on what to do to bypass the immobiliser but I can't find out how to do it, where can I find it
There is a technical bulletin from LandRover out on the internet which explains the function of how to do this, however the LandRover electronic tool to do this is not available to us mere mortals.
This is my own recreation of of that tool.
can you remove immobilizer from MNE101351 ECU? Its a classic mini SPI ECU
would you have a wiring diagram so that I can futureproof my P38
I have an '84 Land Rover defender but with a refurbished 4.6L v8 in the shop. How can I go about this solution? Send ECM? Let me know please.
Morning Andy. The question is do you have a dealership level tool to resync the immobiliser code? It can be done with testboo T4, a Nanocom Evolution (And possiby other toold from Black Box Solutions) and possibly a Hawkeye?
Or I can supply an ECU complete, ready to go.
I am guessing you are in the US? to ship the ECU to me in the U.K. can be $60 - $70 each way.
I charge £140 (about $180 at current exchange rates) plus shipping for an ECU ready to go, so with the prohibitive shipping charges to get your ECU here, it's cheaper to buy one complete to save the $60 US to UK shipping of your one.
@@ecux Sorry for the late reply we have X431 which seems to be able to reset the code.
Any news on this? We can send the ECM to you if needed.
Looks great, do you have a link how to make such a contraption?
I'm afraid not. Sorry. If I were to release this box it'd be to specialist garages that deal with P38s. Not to the general public.
@@ecux will you supply to my good self in an auto locksmith can prove
I am in the USA and I have a 2003 range rover. How do I find you on eBay so I can send the DME to you
Hi Avon.
Pop me an email to simon@ecux.co.uk or use the contact us link at www.ecux.co.uk. Cheers.
Please tell me you can make a bypass for 2005 l322 4.4
If it's the BMW engine, Yes I can. I have an ecu for sale on ebay here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115368200896
Hi I have just bought a p38 that I intend to restore but it keeps immobilising all the time, can you explain how to get rid of it for once an for all
Sure. You need the special LandRover piece of kit called an F-Out box, then wire that in, do a security learn and start the car. That should remove the immobiliser. The video is a demonstration of my own recreation of the F-Out box as they are not available.
Alternatively, I could do it for you.
@@ecux CAN IT BE DONE FOR THE DIESEL ECU
@@michaelbarrett9094 It can, however it's a bit hit and miss as there is no way to tell if the immobiliser off is correct on the bench as there are 3 different ways of doing the Bosch EDC depending on the ECU.
The only way to confirm it is actually plugging it in to a car and actually starting it up and sadly, I don't have a 2.5 Diesel here. :(
@@ecux can you email me some pointers,I am an electronics technician so may be able to carry out this procedure
@@ecux Simon, can you advise your email. Friend has dead P38 and could use your help.
Hy there how do that
What tool far immo Off ?
Thanks
A special tool I have made which does the same as Landrover's own tool for removing the immobiliser permanently.
How much do you charge to do this? (disable the immobiliser)
£100 on your own ECU plus return postage. £140 for an ECU supplied. £150 on ebay due to the rip off fees sadly.
