At last we know why. I also learned not to read the novelization before the movie but that was for Time Cop. But that's all I took away from it, don't read the book just before seeing the movie. I still read and love reading to this day. And recently, being read to through audiobooks is also nice, though I usually only buy audiobooks of books I've already read myself. Anyway, my favorite Christmas movie is Tokyo Godfathers(2003). You're not likely to see that because it's anime, but it's from Satoshi Kon(Perfect Blue, Paprika) and is another adaptation of Three Godfathers(1913) by Peter B Kyne, except in this case the three leads are three homeless people, a middle-aged man, a teenage girl and an older transwoman. The three of them find a baby that was left in the trash on Christmas Eve and decide to take care of it while they find its parents. It takes place between Christmas and New Year's and is amazing.
Only one that I really think that needs to be in there that you forgot is Klaus (2019). Absolutely moved to a favorite for me.. Also The Christmas Chronicles with Kurt Russel is pretty good. I would say at least a high C low B level.
It's funny how different of millennial we are because in my opinion you NEED to switch gremlins with home alone 2. You have that horribly wrong. I watched gremlins a few months ago and it did not age well at all. Meanwhile home alone 2 (although not as good as the first) Tim Curry alone is enough to make it memorable.

@@noahoverton6949 I’ll have to check those out. I’ll have a review of the new Jack Black movie, DEAR SANTA in a day or two, so keep an eye out.
It's not on the list, but 8 Bit Christmas, i highly recommend it probably fits in A or S tier.
@@ptp1915 Putting it on the “To Watch” list!
You haven't seen SANTA WITH MUSCLES!?! Consider yourself publicly shamed.
@@alexcaudill5461 I just saw it was on UA-cam….

@@jarrodwood7539 I’ll give you Tim Curry. No argument there. But Gremlins RULES! The Santa speech alone is worth the price of admission.
