    We do food tours in every new international city we visit. It’s a great way to actually tour the city, learn history etc., and have some great food. I use TripAdvisor to find those tours. We’ve been super happy with our experiences.

    Thanks for all the good information. I didn't know Google had so many features. One story about OTAs. I went to an event in Cleveland a few weeks ago. One of the participants had to cancel because while trying to check in to her flight, she found out that somehow her flight booking was cancelled, but not the hotel reservation. By then, it was too late, and she lost the first night stay at the hotel. She spent several hours on the phone with the OTA and still did not find out how her arrangements were so messed up. I think I'll stick to the carrier's or hotel's websites.

      @@NoraDunn I like the smart way this app Wanderlog is built giving us all the tools we need to plan a trip with a great itinerary feature, where you can insert all the stops for each day and it makes the directions and optimize schedule. The app has also budget control in several currencies and IA onboard. It is a really great app to dig in from Zero and search for points of interests, etc, as well as organize the entire travel.

    First of all thank you for ALL your travel videos. Great talent!
    Nora we would like to know from you the following please:
    Will we lose our Canadian citizenship and O.H.I.P. benefits if we live outside Canada for over a year?
    Could we possibly live abroad for over 6 months every year? If, yes...will our CPP, O.A.S. pension, and income taxes be affected by the same?
    Is there something that you feel we should know about retiring abroad for a period of 6 months every year or over?
    Thank you for your time Nora!

    • @NoraDunn
      @NoraDunn  Місяць тому

      Hi Fernando!
      You will never lose your Canadian citizenship unless you revoke it.
      However in order to keep your OHIP you need to be present in Ontario for at least 153 days in any 12-month period. This means yes, you can travel for 6 months each year. Happy travels!

    • @fernandomofreita79
      @fernandomofreita79 Місяць тому +1

    I have the booking app and it looks much different than your layout do you know why that is?

    • @lizcademy4809
      @lizcademy4809 Місяць тому +3

      I'm not Nora, but I am a professional web developer and have some possible answers.
      The most likely is that your device is a different size. Well designed apps have different layouts at different sizes, so the font size, buttons and images are never too big or too small. I'f you've ever looked at a web page on your phone with teeny tiny type (or a page you view on your PC has giant type), it's because the web designer didn't take this into account, and you're seeing a layout that was designed for a different device.
      Another reason is that the app was updated, and the newer version has a different layout than the old. It's common to change background colors, button locations, menu names ...
      Sometimes the developers need to create completely different apps for different platforms, say iOS vs Android. This can also affect the layout.
      In all cases except maybe the last, the features and functions should be the same in all layouts.

      Maybe it’s the phone? Also I have mine set in dark mode.
