When you transfered from android to iphone did the android phone still keep all data and stuff? Or did it lose all of it? Does it remove everything from android? Thanks for any info
@@xDONxBx The Android retained the data. Once I was sure the iPhone worked properly I did a factory reset on the Android to erase all my personal data. I had Verizon swap the SIM card for me at no charge, so I can now use the iPhone for calling.

Thanks. Was looking for ways to transfer my wife’s data from her huawei to an iphone and it worked a treat. Then just put her Huawei sim card into the iphone and she can carry on with same phone number.

Is there any possibility to transfer the data trough a USB cable instead of the wifi. I have a huge amount of data to transfer and it would be quicker if we could do so
It's disturbing how difficult Apple makes it to transfer messages and whatnot between an iPhone and an Android phone. Just another way that they want to lock their customers in. Google makes the process easy yet Apple only allows you to use "move to iOS" once. After a device has been set up though you can't switch back and forth without needing to perform factory restore.

Does everything need to be necessarily backed up on the android phone like photos and videos or WhatsApp chats. As in does this transfer a back up from.android to ios or is it literally a photocopy of everything on the android phone being broyght over to the iphone?

If you got a US iPhone it won't have a sim slot, I just got mine from t mobile and it doesn't have one, it has an esim

No, it doesn't transform it in the same order. But YES there is a way to transform it in order it's just complicated to write

I followed all your steps and that of another blogger correctly but my iPhone is stuck on "Waiting for SM-G965F" and it's not showing transfer done.

Happened to me several times. I opened the overview off all my running apps ( the ||| icon bottom left on Samsung galaxy) and closed all windows. Then it worked. Although I decided to go to bed after 3 hours of trying to set my phone up, so i unplugged them and the transfer was incomplete.
Here I am again, with both phones pluggedin next to my bed, in case it takes over an hour again.

Great Vid. I decided to go back to Apple as soon as they got rid of their stupid lightning chargers and went to a regular USB. Well done the EU for forcing them to use a generic cable. 1 hr 24 mins left for the transfer......! Thousands of photos, I did all the apps also in the hope that I won't need new subscriptions for apps that are available on both platforms, Here's hoping!
Backing up to iCloud is pointless. You can not restore from it without deleting your iphone again, and choosing that option, which will of course mean you don't get anything off your android.
What about the secure filder on samsung? Its very very very important to me

Mine I get to the point where it says estimated time remaining but then the move to iOS app on the android goes back to the start by itself where the privacy policy is shown

No just reset it I will let you back up and log you out automatically then you can just log back in after and get all your stuff you had before the transfer plus the stuff you transferred.
