Just my two cents, but that portable ssd is the only ssd that has failed me in the last 10+ years, this includes SD cards. I’ve researched online to find that I am not alone on this. SanDisk is aware of the small population of people who’ve experienced this but have not made any statements or done anything to resolve the issue. One day it worked, the next, my computer wouldn’t read it anymore. Plugged it into several different Apple and PC computers and nothing. I have several Samsung portable drives and they have never failed me so I’ll be sticking with that, but yeah, be warned, I lost substantial video footage as a result and will be implementing redundant backups moving forward.
Yes it's true - you can even verify by going to the Amazon sales page and looking at reviews showing the experience you had...I love these SSD and haven't had any issues - I do think that they may have had a batching or sourcing issue because it's not with everyone...I don't know that you can really trust any hd...they are there for storage yet not forever...I have had another type of hd that was totally fine and then one day it failed...lookup info on them and it happens which is why I usually go with smaller capacity and then more so that I have backups and also just delete garbage instead of keeping everything...I like these and although there will always be issues with products now and again overall they are a good buy.
yup, this literally happened to me a few months ago. i had to use a data recovery company to get all my data back. i will never using anything sandisk again other than memory cards for my camera. @realtorhuan, i now use samsung SSD
Instead of a laptop use an iPad Mini, and also buy yourself a gaming headset boom mic replacement that connects via 3.5mm so you can use it with the dji mic 2. It’ll look like your holding Bob Barker’s microphone from The Price Is Right….
Because it made you comment on the video and continue watching 😂 he got more engagement from these 3 comments because he held the mic instead of clipping it
And here is my suggestion: my upgrade to forego the apple lightening cable is to buy a powerbank with wireless charging. I charge the powerbank with USB-C. The airpods pro and my iPhone (still using iPhone 13) can go on the powerbank. I love the video! Good job!
Good sound quality, but I agree with others that holding a clip on mic looks weird. If you DON'T want heart ♥ #cancer from a wireless device clipped on to your shirt collar, consider a wired clip on or a boom mike.
I've watched the whole video. So value for me and when a realize you just have 317 subs I said "Only 317???" It seems like a video from high subs channel. Good job Kenny!! You just gain a new sub!
If and when you don’t take your laptop then how do you backup your photos from the SD card to SSD without a laptop? Can you make a video showing the process thanks.
Hey! Thanks for the comment, I'll make note for future videos, there are a couple SD transfer options when traveling without a laptop. - larger size sd card to not need to transfer until you get home - more sd cards are also an option - Finally you can connect the SSD to an iPhone 15 Pro then use the Osmo Pocket 3 app to wirelessly transfer photo/video to the SSD through your phone, and Sony has a similar app to do the same thing. I know wireless can be slow though, so if you're anticipating that you'll have to make huge transfers frequently while traveling, then a laptop might actually be a good thing to carry for your specific use case!
You mentioned you use the DJI app to transfer files from the DJI pocket to SSD wirelessly, how does that work? You mean wireless transfer from Pocket to iPhone and then via USB to SSD? Thanks.
Very nice video. I am an avid traveler and one of the most important things you left off is a universal power travel adapter. No point in going to Europe and unable to use the power outlets.
So I assume your large SSD has a feature to backup your SD card without using a laptop? I know some devices exist for just that, not the one your video though.
This is a great video. How about a drone tho. I just upgraded my drone gear from the DJI air 2 to the air 3 and mini 4 pro. Which the mini 4 will mainly be used for traveling by plane and etc but how would you pack a drone if you carried it? Would class would you have it under?
We have the same gear 😊 I end up bringing everything because I am afraid I’m going to miss out.. it’s hard to be truly minimal when you know the quality capable of the bigger gear.
M4/3rds cam for me, best bang for size, features, and lenses also always take an iPad mini with me. I tried an OG iPad back in the day but it wasn’t ready for it.
I left my laptop at home on my last Sahara for the first time. And I'm glad i did. That bring said, i brought my Chromebook and it saved my bacon at least once. The chrome book is so much lighter and easier to use for travel. And I love my Mantis!
Good video... I would add a laptop... but not my main laptop... a lightweight version, which I transfer all the data off of it once I return. - Speaking of laptops... would you have a recommendation for the cheapest, but still good video editing software program? Thanks.
one thing i do recommend for "SOLO" traveling is a secondary means of communications. i learned that lesson on my trip to Iceland. fortunately my phone died towards the end of my trip and not in the beginning or middle. i was using it as my GPS and communications. so on my last upgrade, i kept my old phone and i carry that with me in my bag even when i travel for work in the US. this can be a cheap old phone... but something that you can pull out and use and not have to worry about finding a place to purchase a device while traveling especially internationally. i mean.. it doesnt have to be a phone.. an ipad might due.. im a android user so im not familiar with the apple eco system. just something to keep in mind.
iPhone welcome to 2015.😂 I've been using USBC with my Mac and Galaxy phones along with every other accessory since then. So nice to be able to use standard for everything. Glad iphone users can finally enjoy it too.😊

Many reviews about that. Not reliable. Thank you for your comment.
What would be a good substitute in your opinion?
yup, this literally happened to me a few months ago. i had to use a data recovery company to get all my data back. i will never using anything sandisk again other than memory cards for my camera. @realtorhuan, i now use samsung SSD
I too had the same problem but then believe it or not, it then decided to work 1 year later... perfectly fine ha
Can carry an adapter from USB-C to Lightning, could be a cheap portable option for you on that first round. Great video!
Instead of a laptop use an iPad Mini, and also buy yourself a gaming headset boom mic replacement that connects via 3.5mm so you can use it with the dji mic 2. It’ll look like your holding Bob Barker’s microphone from The Price Is Right….
My solo travel setup: DJI Osmo Pocket 3, DJI Mini 4 Pro, Fujifilm X100VI
you don't need to hold the mic - clipping it on your shirt will do just fine. just my 2 cents that no one asked for. LOL
Why are you holding a mic meant to be clipped on. They even give you two ways to do it. It's not a handheld mic
Why can’t he do what he wants lol
Because it made you comment on the video and continue watching 😂 he got more engagement from these 3 comments because he held the mic instead of clipping it
The closer you hold it to the mouth, the better the quality. Regardless of the clipping/mounting options.
@@ksyutangtrue! and sometimes I think it kinda helps your mind to just go "talk" cause you're holding the mic, like giving a speech.
Because he made the video and he wanted to.
And here is my suggestion: my upgrade to forego the apple lightening cable is to buy a powerbank with wireless charging. I charge the powerbank with USB-C. The airpods pro and my iPhone (still using iPhone 13) can go on the powerbank.

If people would clip on the clip-on mic, they would have two hands to show things. Wouldn’t it be amazing? Just saying...
Or "talk with hands."
People minding their own business and not worrying about how people are housing a clip on mic, wouldn’t that be amazing??? Just saying!
The production quality of this video is amazing
I love the vibe of this video. Dude you need more subs! edit: also schwab has been my favorite bank. Their support is really good too
I only use galaxy tab s9+ to edit videos with capcut aps and videos taken by osmo pocket 3. Seamless.
That card at (4:24) is the Portuguese public transporte one? LMAO
I've watched the whole video. So value for me and when a realize you just have 317 subs I said "Only 317???"

You just gain a new sub!
if you have Apple Silicon macbook, you don't need 65w charger - 20-40w will be enough and twice lighter
Depending which Apple Silicon one you have and what you are doing, my M3 Max can pull some power if needed and 20-40w wouldn’t be enough
If and when you don’t take your laptop then how do you backup your photos from the SD card to SSD without a laptop? Can you make a video showing the process thanks.

Thats exactly right! Connect the ssd to the phone, transfer files directly to the ssd through the phone app
What about that small bag?
The small black bag? Its the DJI Osmo pocket 3 carrying case that comes with the combo kit that DJI sells!
Dope video man. New sub!
Very informative! Keen to check out the Mantis. Subscribed.
Hi Kenny. New subscriber here! Is your current tripod capable of holding the full frame with zoom lens without any problem?
Yep! Holds on just fine!
Very nice video. I am an avid traveler and one of the most important things you left off is a universal power travel adapter. No point in going to Europe and unable to use the power outlets.

Yes, he must have superpowers to move data to the SSD without a laptop, etc.
Instead of a laptop an iPad helps to
Thx for this one, Adam/Canada
Why carry a triple charger and just one cable? :D
Haha just in case!
This is a great video. How about a drone tho. I just upgraded my drone gear from the DJI air 2 to the air 3 and mini 4 pro. Which the mini 4 will mainly be used for traveling by plane and etc but how would you pack a drone if you carried it? Would class would you have it under?
Get rid of the lightning cable and just buy a USB-C to Lightning adapter. These Lightning adapters are much smaller than a dedicated Lightning cable.
We have the same gear 😊 I end up bringing everything because I am afraid I’m going to miss out.. it’s hard to be truly minimal when you know the quality capable of the bigger gear.
Another thing: I can’t just use AirPods Pro earbuds on the plane. I need the over ear headphones to truly block out everything
How dare you! Assuming the watchers are not professional... LOL
M4/3rds cam for me, best bang for size, features, and lenses also always take an iPad mini with me. I tried an OG iPad back in the day but it wasn’t ready for it.
Can I bring Canon batteries in my carryon?
Yup! Shouldnt have a problem
Do you live in Portugal? Bcoz i saw your activo bank debit card and navigante metro pass 😁

Excellent video. I think you’ll be a pretty well known content creator in not the too distant future.
Great choice of noodles 🍜
Just stumbled on your channel just in time. Pronsumer Yas!!
How did the camera morph from a Canon to Sony when you picked it up!
I would love a Video where you prepare your bag for a trip
Nice and simple, that's great.
With esims can you make WhatsApp calls? If needed
Thanks! And Whatsapp should work with just data, no need for a cell service
That's great 😃. Thanks
Clothing essentials would be an awesome next video.
Good video... I would add a laptop... but not my main laptop... a lightweight version, which I transfer all the data off of it once I return.
- Speaking of laptops... would you have a recommendation for the cheapest, but still good video editing software program? Thanks.
Hey! The free version of Davinci Resolve is quite powerful, it's what I prefer to use
Really love the content , inspiring me to create content!

I also carry a second phone too, it has saved me many times when I either lost or the primary phone suddenly died. It doesn’t have to be fancy!
The best timing on my timeline ever!!!
Very very good video
nice video!!!
Well done 👍🏽
iPhone welcome to 2015.😂 I've been using USBC with my Mac and Galaxy phones along with every other accessory since then. So nice to be able to use standard for everything. Glad iphone users can finally enjoy it too.😊
