a couple of other tips from someone who also got an a* (: - you don’t need to know the names of psychologists who did supporting studies (so anything you use for a03), you can just say ‘a psychologist’ - for research methods always write your answer to a question, then go back and add an extra sentence to EVERY question. They always want weirdly specific answers and for me it was that extra point that got me the mark. - if you struggle with stats tests look up ‘carrots should come mashed with swede under roast potato’ and thank me later -if flash cards aren’t your thing do essay plans instead (one a4 for each essay). You can basically work out all possible essays pretty much for each topic, so if you plan them that’s literally all your notes done.
Jamil Rana I never learnt a specific amount of a01, I’d just learn the essentials for each topic. For a03 I used to do 6-8 really brief ones because I personally found that much easier to remember than 3-4 in depth ones but that’s obviously very dependent on how you work and remember stuff
@@simoneoliver7379 the only ones I ever learnt were the key ones you needed to know for ao1, didn't have a clue for any if my evaluation studies unless I planned to talk about temporal validity etc.
Sprinkle of Jasmine X I know how you feel😭😭I still haven’t started and now I feel like I’m going to fail. I’ve been getting Ds and Cs ever since I started college :(

Your advice are so clear and is on point whereas other UA-camrs they just try to long out everything. Is like I have so much time to revise for one subject. I wish you could give advice on other subjects. Btw just love you videos.
Always did great at internal exams hosted by school, but got U in boards. I know the content very well but idk what went wronggg. Im so frustrated 😢 gimme some tips please
so im going into year 13, we learnt shitall all year cause the 'rona. and so, lack of motivation, lack of effort, dont like my a level choices and dont know how to answer questions, dont know whats on the test, dont know what to do at uni, dont know what i want to do next, dont know how to revise, dont know how not to panic, dont know anything. ,.,,,.,..,.,.,.../.,.,,,.,,,..,
So you just used essay plans and typed up notes instead of mind maps for psychology ? Also what did you put on flash cards I’m confused on what to write on there
Hey I thought you have to remember all the experiments also what do you mean by remembering different essays the only thing my revision book has is experiments I’m doing ocr btw I just started psychology.
I always thought that typing it down was much easier because when I write down notes most of the time It doesn't feel organised for me and most of the time I would need to rewrite it to make it sound more sense and satisfying which just make everything long.
@@HaneekaThandi finished my a levels, make sure u use active recall and spaced repetition. Watch ali abdaal on YT. It’ll help u get top grades. For RM just use the specification as a checklist and do a lot of questions once you’ve learnt the content. Also, they repeat a lot of topics like statistical tests.
thanks soo much ive missed out on a lot on content and now i have started year 13 today and i have mocks in less than a week i am definitely going to revise those research methods
blurting! unjaded jade did a video on this ( ua-cam.com/video/CgrCo1J9A44/v-deo.html ) and speaking it through to myself & checking how accurate my memory was x
ASMRunicorn07 what you have to do to not flop is start now even if its year 12 content. Do not revise the day before. You have to spread out your revision. I didn’t do good this year. But what i did notice is the topics that i revised months before, i did good in. The ones i did the day before i failed. Start now! I did my a levels and flopping is the worst feeling.
From where you are taking the notes? Can you name the resources? And videos based on the syllabus actually I am self studying Edexcel Psychology so I don't know what to study and from where to study
i didn’t personally use them and my teacher said that they were not always great but as long as you don’t solely rely on it I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having one xx

How many A01 points and A03 points did you do per essay plan on average? Thanks

Hannah G So I don’t need to know when Milgram or Baddeley did their experiments?
Wish I took my first year more seriously. 😭
Dont worry, you still have this following year! You can plough through it! You got thisssss
No need to worry! You’ll be surprised at how much you can get done in a matter of months! Just need to knuckle down.

How often did you go over your notes
I learned Research Methods by myself over Christmas in year 12. For year 13, I pray that my new teacher goes through it.
Great video , history next ??
What’s blurting
I didn’t pay much attention in year 12, Do you think it’s possible to learn it all plus the year 13 content before a levels?? I’m so scared
