- The mighty Megadeth arrived at VEVO’s New York office to celebrate their ‘Super Collider’ album, and play a rare acoustic concert of three songs. Leader Dave Mustaine and team roared through “She Wolf,” “Kingmaker” and “Symphony Of Destruction.”

I love how for an acoustic concert they played the songs without changing a single note.

love the band but they could have changed it and made it suit acoustics better, doesn't have to be simpler, i know stuff morphs when i play a thing on acoustic and not electric, i want to bring out the acoustic sound.

Not an overly known fact. I'd be really curious to know to what extent things were re-leaned and how much his previous mastery guided him, and in what areas his memory served more or less useful. We all know that the second time didn't take as long as the first, but does that mean that the second time was necessarily easier? Where were the actual frustrations in the second go? Were they mostly in just getting his arm to obey him, or was it more like the first time where the coordination must be built from the ground up? I'd love an interview based just on the subtleties of rehabilitation.
I'd like to see an acoustic Megadeth album

the only reason he fall off was the surgery other wise his singing was at its best during 00s. he had lessons and a vocal coach. he learned how to do what he was doing properly and it shows here that he was not performing on the damaged notes that he have learned to sing

Dave's voice is a great singing voice as long as he doesn't try high notes.
John Reppas Even though they were originally sung in high notes, he can simply sing them in lower notes when they're live :) It'll work just as much and it'll give it a nice new twist.

+siren7193 They play their songs in a lower tuning now so he can sing better now. Sure it isn't the Dave from the 80's but better than when he was trying to sing high until recently.
He has a medical condition that makes him unable to sing high notes
His high wasn't great anyway in 80s,his best voice era was in the end of 90s. Youthanasia and the world needs a hero is an example. Because of a surgery he can't sing high notes anymore.

Mustaine proves again that he is the greatest guitarist of his generation. And no other band can pull this off on acoustic. Megadeth are precise, technically perfect and aggressive. Hope will remain so forever.
Kingmaker was unbelievable too, Dave's solo seemed impossible, but Mustaine did it ;-)
