My local track has a slash class called “stadium super truck”. It is a free second class, and requires a brushed, hcg slash. Any tires may be used, and any upgrades designed for the slash may be used.
Nice hobby room, thank you for the tour, I'm glad your doing a video on the TLR 22Sct 3.0 because that is the next RC I want to get, can't wait to see it in action...
Love Short Course, Easily my favorite type of vehicle to race. At my local club, We only divide 1/10th by driveline and move the nitro in with 1/8th which is a free for all, So it's as open as possible.
Nice hobby room. Like the tank. I would get side tracked and start watching them due to the relaxation of the sound. Thanks for the video and giving us future plans on upcoming vlogs. Looking forward to watching them.
This is a vid i've been waiting for!!! What a dream setup you've got there. Love the aquascape, plano box, shelving, hats, work/play computer space!! Can't wait to see the build series!
I thoroughly enjoy your attention to detail. Inspired each and every time I tune in! I’m a commercial electrician and couldn’t help but envision a perimeter of 2’ LED lights along the bottom surface of the lowest shelf (my setup). This would shine light deeper into the nooks and crannies of the car, flood the wall with light and also originate from above your head (no light in your eyes). You could achieve this with a professional result for around 130$
Hey Ryan great work on these videos! I’ve been watching them for the last year and decided to get back into RC racing! I’ve been out of the game for more than 15 years but am researching and watching videos like yours to get back up to speed! Just wanted to say thanks dude!
Nice dude. Short course i want to race getting into this hobby from fpv. And I wish it would “come back” because they are so much fun. I know I could dominate with a slash 2wd.
Good stuff! Nice to see you trying to put some variety up to keep ppl coming back, not that you need to. Keen for the new build and seeing the paint scheme come to life and where it goes after!
I have the exact same Plano tackle-box in my RC room with Novak stickers on it!!! I knew the moment I saw it in the background on your first vid that you raced back in the day. In the late 90's everyone had one of those.
Its definitely about what you like. I have just seen so many people have problems with Nitro buggies, not that it is the buggies' fault, but i ave steered clear of it as a result. Looks good and i always love a project!
That Plano case was pretty much the default case I remember everyone using in the late 80's / early 90's. There's probably one sitting in my parents garage with all my old equipment. I find it amazing how fast you go through tires. The only time I remember people using new tires is when a new tread pattern was available or when they went from a 2 inch wheel to 2.2 inch. What we did probably have in more abundance were batteries especially those of us that were rating our own nicad's.
Uber excited about the SCT!!! There's a lot of us, including me, that run slash's and love Short Course Trucks. First thing I love about them is the fact that they are real down to scale looking trucks, and they look so good when power sliding on the track! It would be cool if you wouldn't transform it into a drag car...maybe you'll like it this way and keep it for racing. Can't wait for the build to start and get some fresh info (even hough I run a 4x4). Cheers from Romania!
"extrusion" is the word you were looking for. that car wall thingy is kickass! and bruh we gotttttaaaaa get you a proper computing setup, that laptop shindig has to go! totally thought the sct was gunna be for oval, curious to see what you do for the drag build! Keep up the awesome vids man
Yes, the Plano Phantom Pro! If you were a serious racer back in the late 80’s/early 90’s, you rolled with one of these. Not as convenient as an OGIO 9800 these days, but it got the job done back then. I recently cleaned mine out of all the old stuff. Let’s just say it was... interesting - to see what happened to some of those really old lubricants, haha. Anyhow, I’ll probably keep it here close to my workbench for when I’m working on the cars here at home. As for the SCT, I would LOVE it if TLR brought it (and the T) up to “5.0” spec. Likewise, with all the licensed TENacity based vehicles that have been released, you’d think that the SCTE would at least benefit from some running changes. But I know - the popularity (or lack thereof) just doesn’t justify it. 😔 I almost feel like I want to start a change.org petition just to see how many people would sign one to say that they would buy one - but then, they would actually have to buy it if TLR built it. Anyway, I’m just saying - I would buy an updated one! Alright, topic derailment complete - have fun with it!
Robert Grove That’s Awesome! There in Libby the cabinet mountain rc club made a new track, and has a new location I’m pretty sure from the previous. It’s really nice, and it’s the closest track to me lol.
look forward to the build series. definitely interested in the drag setup to follow, if that happens, I've just finished up a no prep build myself-- it's definitely the most popular thing going on around here and it's a lot of fun.
Great hobby room! Question Ryan. Where did you get that video light from, that looks like a great solution if you do not have room for a softbox. What is the make and type number?
Thanks Ryan, always look forward to watching your latest video and this one was no exception. Love the variety from racing, setup, travelling to events, etc. Keeps it fresh! Quick question though... no more stadium truck for you? Oh and what about 1/8 ebuggy? Cheers from the UK 🇬🇧
Like you I’ve always wanted to race SCT but I ended up driving 13.5 TC instead due to more numbers in that class. There is literally only one other guy in Barbados running a SCT. This vid pushed me over the edge, I’m gonna go for it. So build on brother, I’ll be watching closely.
Hey Ryan thanks for the inspiration to get in to the racing side of the hobby. What are your thoughts on a futaba 4pm as a race radio for a beginner? Or a dx5 pro? Thanks again.
@@bmacd Yeah Ryan has inspired me to pull mine out. I think I will get it cleaned up and start using it on my bench like he does. I love that we all seem to have the same decals on them.
When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window, the American flag should be displayed in the same way, with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street.
Finally get to see the tank some more! Thanks for that! Looks good! I have always wanted to keep some blue rams, tried once but moved shortly after and it didn't make the 5 hr drive... :( We still have Short Course here... When the world gets back to normal, it would be awesome fornu to come run a NW race, like one of the Northwest Championship Tour stops.... I'm totally saddened that the Hank Perry didn't get to happen this year. There's always great competition and lots of fun to be had. Keep shining bro... maybe someday I can vacation to Florida and run on somenofnthat red clay looking dirt...
Your gonna love your m3x I promise!! They are the clone for the ty tessman motor from OS. It has so much power! And yes Beach hobbies is the US distributor for ultimate racing (I work there 😁)
Yea man I'm sad at the state of short course at the moment that's what got me into R/C and also I have that same Ogio Layover bag it's perfect for carry on. Thanks for the vids!
Hey Ryan, are you going to Carpet Wars Race this Saturday (2:00 pm race time) at Beachline Raceway at Cocoa Beach. Recently I have decided to get back into racing after 20 years of not racing. Back in the day we had Fast tracks Pinellas park (dirt track), Gordy’s Odessa (small paved oval), Bob’s Hudson (dirt oval), A track in Clearwater (no bank oval), Another track in Clearwater (carpet oval - road coarse) I raced RC10 reg- truck class, and RC 10 L pan car.
Love to see this upcoming series on the SCT! But one problem... leave it a SCT!!! Keep club racing it. That would be awesome to watch! Then make a drag car out of something else. Seems a shame to take an awesome SCT and turn it into something else. Just MHO tho. Keep up the great content Ryan!!!
I love SCT and it’s almost non existent. About almost 2 years ago I bought the sct 3.0 kit and good electronics and literally a month later my tracks stopped running the class so it has been sitting with literally one pack ran through it, $700 just chillen!
I would definitely love to see a in-depth look at it made in your production quality. There are a few video’s out about the (bolink/rjspeed) legends car, but nowhere near your quality.
Hey what's up Ryan. Dig your videos they are very informative and put together well. But most of all just wanted to say I love your flag hanging on the wall
You guys still racing the SCT class?
Not up here in Indiana
I still do at coyote hobbies in Victorville CA. It’s my favorite class.
Sometime we do, but I've been out of it for some time now
Maybe you can help bring it back.....I love sct racing.
My local track has a slash class called “stadium super truck”. It is a free second class, and requires a brushed, hcg slash. Any tires may be used, and any upgrades designed for the slash may be used.

This is a vid i've been waiting for!!! What a dream setup you've got there. Love the aquascape, plano box, shelving, hats, work/play computer space!! Can't wait to see the build series!
Awesome nano aquarium. I have a 5 gallon nano, a 65g shrimp tank and a 210g discus tank. All freshwater planted. Great setup.
I thoroughly enjoy your attention to detail. Inspired each and every time I tune in! You could achieve this with a professional result for around 130$
Do you need a electrician to put that in? Or can the layperson do it?
I have the same Plano box...easily 30 years old. Still love it!
I look forward to seeing your videos. I'm always finding something that is helpful or can make something easier. Thank you
Hey Ryan great work on these videos! I’ve been watching them for the last year and decided to get back into RC racing! I’ve been out of the game for more than 15 years but am researching and watching videos like yours to get back up to speed! Just wanted to say thanks dude!

Its definitely about what you like. I have just seen so many people have problems with Nitro buggies, not that it is the buggies' fault, but i ave steered clear of it as a result. Looks good and i always love a project!
Looking forward to the build series...guess we’ll have to wait for stadium truck. Thanks for the video!
very beautiful and organized place to work, congratulations!!
You are so well organized and neat!
I try! Thanks man :D

I love that Ramirezi!!!! And the Betta!!! Fishlove forever!! Greets from Vienna
When I was racing Rc back in the late 80’s, I use to own the same tackle box.

Was REALLY hoping the SCT was going to be turned into a SC MOD for the dirt oval scene!
lol Can't swing a desktop setup as I travel with my PC most of the time. Maybe once I make that big UA-cam money haha
Dang that’s a really nice window!
Yay! Finally jumped on the SCT band wagon. Looks like I have some tough competition at Masters 😬🙂
haha it will be a good time!
Was waiting for the SCT beast to chime in 😃
@@wyattgaskins9363 you know it buddy 😉🙂😆
I like the aquarium...a lot!
We run sct at our track in gilford Ontario Canada there great fun 🇨🇦🏁

Short Courses are Fun!
Probably my favorite class to watch at the track as I enjoy the scale looking racing
I have had that tackle box since 1993 I keep it for the memories
#planophantomgang
Nice vid and looking forward to the new ventures. Do a bit of design with the body and colours, plenty of new ground you can cover!
Sct is so much fun! We run sct on my backyard track here in Montana and love it!
Where in Montana? Libby?
Strckt no Missoula, but I have run in Libby!
Robert Grove That’s Awesome! There in Libby the cabinet mountain rc club made a new track, and has a new location I’m pretty sure from the previous. It’s really nice, and it’s the closest track to me lol.
Strckt where you located?
Robert Grove Good ole Bonners Ferry Idaho😂
Can't wait to see the truck build just got one myself as my first kit wanted a truck forever
Cool hobby room dude!! Thanks for the tour
look forward to the build series. definitely interested in the drag setup to follow, if that happens, I've just finished up a no prep build myself-- it's definitely the most popular thing going on around here and it's a lot of fun.
Love all your videos man!! You should do a nitro series in the future!!!! Show newbies like myself the nitro struggles and etc!🤙
I will always run and enjoy short course !
Really dig the fish tank Ryan.
HELL YES!.....help bring back sct racing. Thats my favorite....
Alright!! Nice, a short course truck👌🏽. Like to see what you can do with that thing. I preordered myself the Senton BLX 2020 edition. 👍🏼🥳
That's pretty! I like your designing. 👍
love it ... i still use my phantom pro bought back in 91... it goes to every race with me
Great hobby room! Question Ryan. Where did you get that video light from, that looks like a great solution if you do not have room for a softbox. What is the make and type number?
Love the fish tank two things I love fish tanks and rc
I love my sct"s run 4wd and 2wd. Normally race every friday night. But I am in Australia.
I have the same tool box from when my dad raced!
For me it was a Stadium truck or SCT at this time and I wanted to try something new! EBuggy will come later this year I'm pretty sure!
I believe Seth Williams made your car hanger system? It uses an 80/20 extrusion for the rail and custom 3d printed parts.
what do you think about rc basing ?
Like you I’ve always wanted to race SCT but I ended up driving 13.5 TC instead due to more numbers in that class. There is literally only one other guy in Barbados running a SCT. This vid pushed me over the edge, I’m gonna go for it. So build on brother, I’ll be watching closely.
thats a sweet set up and fish tank
Are you going to be putting a laydown in the sct?
We'll just have to wait and see ;)
It always amazes me how clean you keep everything! Kudos and great video as usual
Hey Ryan thanks for the inspiration to get in to the racing side of the hobby. What are your thoughts on a futaba 4pm as a race radio for a beginner? Or a dx5 pro? Thanks again.
NICE BRO.. ME AN THE WIFE JUS BOT A HOUSE. I STARTED MY HOBBY ROOM. DRUMS n RC CARS😁🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Only the OG's are down with the giant Plano box.
I recently donated mine to a young guy starting out. A lot of history, and stories with those old boxes
@@bmacd Yeah Ryan has inspired me to pull mine out. I think I will get it cleaned up and start using it on my bench like he does. I love that we all seem to have the same decals on them.
I look at that box and I wanna go fishing!!!
Great job on video
Good looking setup! One thing, the flag needs to be displayed with the stars to the left.
When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window, the American flag should be displayed in the same way, with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street.
Nice tank. You need some neon tetras!
will you be running the 3.0 sct with the stock configuration or will you be "frankenstein" it ???
Finally get to see the tank some more! Thanks for that! Looks good! I have always wanted to keep some blue rams, tried once but moved shortly after and it didn't make the 5 hr drive... :(
We still have Short Course here...

Hey Ryan, you should do a video on your ogio bag. What you take to the track. Nice hoddy room.
Me and my son run sct and truck class it’s so much fun can’t believe it’s not as big anymore
Your gonna love your m3x I promise!! They are the clone for the ty tessman motor from OS. It has so much power! And yes Beach hobbies is the US distributor for ultimate racing (I work there 😁)
You should do a cool basher build!
Whoa shortcourse I haven’t run one of those in years! Georgia is awesome by the way 😉
So is your profile pic cuz it's us
And just like that...TLR sees a surge in SCT sales nationwide. Never underestimate this man's marketing exposure. Looking forward to the series.
You should gen the ten scte 3.0 or tlr 22t 4.0
Yea man I'm sad at the state of short course at the moment that's what got me into R/C and also I have that same Ogio Layover bag it's perfect for carry on. Thanks for the vids!
I have 7 ball pythons 1 superdwarf reticulated python. 1 bearded dragon and 2 crested geckos. Also love rc hobby
Nice! I always want to get back into beardies...

Blue Compass Broadcast Arm!
@@RyanHarrisRC Excellent, thanks Ryan!
I was going to get a losi eight buggy nitro what are your thoughts on that???? Or is truggy better??? Want to get one just dont know which way to go
Truggies are super fun and easier to drive! If you have a class that supports them, that would be my choice!
I love SCT and it’s almost non existent. About almost 2 years ago I bought the sct 3.0 kit and good electronics and literally a month later my tracks stopped running the class so it has been sitting with literally one pack ran through it, $700 just chillen!
Are you building it for outdoor loose dirt? Or for inside?
We race 2wd outdoor and im only tlr, chasing outdoor setup for a year now lol
I will be running at Master's of Dirt which is an indoor track! But I will try it out in some loose stuff just for fun.
Really like The videos keep up the good work.
It is a tacklebox when you put your fishing Tackle
Next Level Set Up!
Good choice going to Raw Speed! proline got bought out by horizion hobbys
Gotta rep the dude making things in the good 'ol USA
I kinda want to see you go bashing I’d think it would be funny if you tuned a rc made for bashing to be better at bashing lol
Where do you get supreme heat shrink
Cool!
Hi Ryan, would you ever consider trying on road racing, like 1/10 touring cars? :)
Not much of an onroad scene in my area so can't say I will anytime soon.
Could you see if you could race some of the older buggys thats what i own and would like to see more of
Build that SCT and come race it at the ROAR Region 3 race this weekend. SCT or no SCT, hope to see you there this weekend.
Solid axle monster truck class is the best racing class by miles. Sct is ok though.
Love the American flag by far the most important thing in this room
Ryan... SSSHHHOOORRRRRRTTTTTTTTT CCCCOOOUUUURRRRRSSSSEEEEE!!!!!
4wd is more fun, but I told you!
Your flag - blue union on the left is the correct way to display it.
I have a 17.5 in my sct
Hey could you restore your Mom's Losi JRxT this off-season? That would be good video material
hell yeah SCT build!!
You mentioned Phil's. Are you in Pinellas?
Looking forward to see the sct content :D Also still waiting on the Legends car stuff :D
My legends car is definitely sad! Gotta get it back out there...
Hi Ryan just a little idea for the sct you should do a cool monster energy like Baja truck design for the body just a little idea I got
