Hi, Yes, this is mill vise works very well. Soon I will post a detail video about it, And also, I and a american partner we are preparing a original Tryally vise for the market, and this will shortly be. Best regard from Brazil. Luiz Ally
@mikruson Hi, Thank for your question, Well, The aluminum that I use here is very resistent as those used in Sherline machine. Today I just changed the clamping system, and T lock nuts for better steel and the result is perfect. Regards

What an excellent idea! Indeed it's often a hassle setting up thin material in a regular vise. On top of that, you lose a lot of z-height. Thank you for sharing your idea. I will definitely make one for my taig.
Hello Luiz, You do some awesome projects, friends directed me to your channel a while ago. The vise looks pretty slick and sturdy. Ho did you determine the dimensions of it? (I have a Sherline as well.) I wonder if I could make one myself (I am a beginner at CNC machining.). Ron
Hi Ron, thank you, I can talk you on Facebook or with WhatsApp, i have good news about the Low Profile Vise and the Quick change Tool Post made by me. Look here: facebook.com/tryallytech?fref=ts Or by WhatsApp 5514997722010 You are welcome!
Oh yeah, thanks for the comment. Send me your email and I will send you pics with my slim vise and upgrade, today is better and more simple. This is my my first vise model in the video and I think you can make one by yourself with your Taig that I know that a cool machine. My email is: tryally@gmail.com Cheers Luiz
What are the basic dimensions of your vice? It is hard to tell from the video. What thickness plate did you use? I have a TAIG mill I would like to make one of these for. I have a 1/2" x 4" x 8" piece of 6061 aluminum I was going to use. Thanks for all your videos they are a great source of information. I have already made holders to use the broken end mills and the individual bit holders for the mill from your other videos. Thanks Again, Ben

Great idea. I have an old Atlas 7b Shaper that doesn't have a vise. I think I will build a similar workholding setup for the table. :)
