It always amazes me how they have so uniquely worked in the actual gamer into an integral part of the band. Its just such outside the box thinking and a concept that I doubt anybody had ever even considered before and that is really cool. If you think about it, the gamer (sorry I don't know his name) is one of the most integral members of the band considering the fact that he really can't afford to screw up and basically has to speed run the games without dying, while also up on stage in front of a huge crowd of people. Talk about pressure!
Forgot his name, but he's been playing since he was a kid so he knows the game inside and out. He's died a few times as well on lesser known performances.
This is utterly breathtaking, the music's amazing and fits very well. Starting with the first instances of the game: Overworld 1: No better way to start out the game than with the old-school Zelda overworld music. Dungeon 1 (well, technically Dungeon 2 but the first one that's visited): Again, very nostalgic to hear the dungeon theme from the old Zelda. Overworld 2: (LttP Dark World) Now stuff picks up, they know there's a lot of work to be done and time is of the essence. Dungeon 2: (LttP Dark World Dungeon) Very creepy that they brought in the Dark World dungeon theme from Link to the Past, sounds fitting for a dungeon found beneath a large, dead tree. Overworld 3: (Link's Awakening- Tal Tal Mountains) Fitting for Link's journey across Hyrule, fighting whatever he comes across. Dungeon 3: (LttP Light World Dungeon) Starts off very ominous, definitely a good choice considering the numerous new enemies that appear and showing that this dungeon will be more difficult than the ones before. Overworld 4: (Zelda 2 Battle) The adventure picks up the pace and Link becomes more frantic as he searches for the remaining pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom. Dungeon 4: (OoT Temple of Time) Eerily "calm" compared to the last three dungeons, again showing that each dungeon is different both in layout and atmosphere. Picks up magnificently as Link gets closer and closer to the battle with Gleeok. Overworld 5: (LttP Death Mountain) I find this rather symbolic since the next dungeon's located in the mountains. Dungeon 5: (LttP Hyrule Castle) Gives a grand, "mighty" feeling to the dungeon, building up to the confrontation with Digdogger. Overworld 6: (Zelda 2 Credits/Ending) A more heroic feel to the adventure, signifying that Link's getting stronger and closer to defeating Ganon. Dungeon 6: (Zelda 2 Palace) Again, a classic. Finishes it up nicely after the rematch with Aquamentus. Overworld 7: (LttP Dark World Transformed) This piece nicely conveys the chaos and disarray that's taken over Hyrule since Ganon captured Princess Zelda. It gives a sense of urgency to the situation. Dungeon 7: (LttP Sanctuary) Creepy and solemn-sounding until the pickup, very fitting for a temple so close to a graveyard. Overworld 8: (Link's Awakening Overworld) Brings everything back home with an arrangement of the original Overworld theme; Link's courage and determination are rather easy to feel with this piece. Dungeon 8: (Zelda 2 Great Palace) A splendid choice for the "last" dungeon, setting things up nicely for the endgame scenario. Overworld 9: (Zelda 2 Opening) Seeing as Zelda 2 takes place after Ganon's death in Zelda 1, this seems like some pretty cool foreshadowing. Dungeon 9: (Zelda 1 Death Mountain, Dungeon; LttP Ganon Theme/Ganon Battle) There's just about nothing I could think of that would be better suited to the final dungeon than this. From the old-school final dungeon theme to a flashback to the previous dungeons...escalating halfway through the dungeon into Ganon's official theme, building up as time ticks down and culminating in the final clash between Link and Ganon...wow. Just wow. AMAZING. And the ending, naturally, goes without saying. I may have over-analyzed this a bit but this is just me putting my two Rupees in, fantastic job by Bit Brigade!
To be fair, though, that's an awful lot of music to memorize. I wouldn't want to try something like this without having the sheet music in front of me.
Saw them do this last night and it was significantly better. Like, I dont want to share this video with people to show them what it was like. 4 years seems to have made a big difference.
I cried after Dark World Dungeon and the fight with Ganon. Listening to that live while tripping felt like an off-world experience that I haven't been able to replicate since. I was never the same after leaving that concert lol
+Andrew Raia I'm glad someone else is mentioning this, because it legit bothers me that the guitarists' instruments are just slightly out of tune of one another. It's slight, but it's just noticeable enough to make it bother me immensely due to the sounds really clashing with one another, especially when they're either playing the same note or trying to harmonize.
u guys should do either a "batman" playthrough since its quick..or a "guardian legend" playthrough since it has the best NES sound track :)...or FINALLY do "megaman 3" :)
It's like a Jazz Fusion post-funk sound, but if you know about these composers of these games, they were all into jazz and classical. Amazing performance.
Weird. I posted the answer a couple of days ago, yet I can no longer see my comment? Anyway, like Pierce said, it's "Ganon Battle Theme" from Link to the Past.
Pierce Baxter Thank you man! The original is just as great as this rendition, but I just can't get over that lightning fast beat making me feel like the end is near and the final stretch to kick Ganon's backside is upon us... xD
For me Legend of Zelda was their least interesting game to do such performance, not only because of the songs but because of the style of the game (I had to skip because it became boring after some minutes). Mega Man 2 however was great, the best by far !
Garettful1 Can you explain the difference between tuning and intonation? I love Bit Brigade but noticed that they always sound just that slight bit "off".
Intonation is fixed by the adjustment of the length of the string. In basic terms it means, that if you pluck the string freely, you might be in tune, but as you fret the string and progress downwards towards the saddle, the tuning starts to change because the string is not the right length in relation to the frets position and thus the fret that's supposed to be int he middle of the string is in reality a slight bit off from it. This gets even more worse the lower your tuning is or lower the open tuning of the string is. krisimpossible

I believe the Register Your Name is Zelda 3, not Zelda 1

Guy doing the "triforce with his hands" in the audience at 6:24
Also; deserves much, much more views
criminally under-viewed, these guys kick ass....special props to the bass player and DRUMMER, jesus what intensity
it's a pity the guitars sometimes are off..but those two guys are really the shit!!
Keilbasa35 The bassist is the MPV of this band if you ask me... some of the hardest parts to play, at high speed, on only 4 strings.
MPV? Durr I meant MVP
yeah, I totally agree

Well done.
SonicDestroyer12 Hey, thanks for this! Very helpful and informative!
+SonicDestroyer12 Overworld 2 also includes the Overworld theme from Zelda II
+Andy Shick ^This.
thats why after become a big fan of nes music i love Metal Music 🤘🤘🤘
The bass for the file select is seriously one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard!
I'm sad I missed magfest this year. But ohh so happy for youtube. Hell of a show Bit Brigade I love you guys
That may be the best rendition of Ganon's build up thing I've ever heard at the end.
the execution is not perfect but the idea and realization is fantastic
yeah, when a loud guitar plays an incorrect note the only possible reaction is to cringe.....but i still liked it...
To be fair, though, that's an awful lot of music to memorize. I wouldn't want to try something like this without having the sheet music in front of me.
Absolutely love how they give love to all of the overworld themes throughout Zelda. Love their Tal Tal Heights cover.
I was here and it was fantastic.
The moment when the Dark World theme started was probably the best.
Thanks for uploading! They're a riot
I wonder how their band practices. are ... YOU PLAYED THE WRONG NOTE !! AND YOU FORGOT TO GET THE SILVER ARROWS ! start over !
Saw them do this last night and it was significantly better. Like, I dont want to share this video with people to show them what it was like. 4 years seems to have made a big difference.
Dave Sandifer were you the guy who said they needed to blow on the cartridge?
I cried after Dark World Dungeon and the fight with Ganon. Listening to that live while tripping felt like an off-world experience that I haven't been able to replicate since. I was never the same after leaving that concert lol
Thanks, Link! You're the Hero of Hyrule!
A round of Hylian Ale for my good friends!
Awesome concept, but I wish people would tune their instruments :/
+Andrew Raia I'm glad someone else is mentioning this, because it legit bothers me that the guitarists' instruments are just slightly out of tune of one another. It's slight, but it's just noticeable enough to make it bother me immensely due to the sounds really clashing with one another, especially when they're either playing the same note or trying to harmonize.
Awesome comment, but I wish you'd tune your ears :\
At first I was like what? it sounds great, and then the dungeon theme began and I heard it
Actually I like the dissonance.
I love non-musicians making this comment...
Never knew how hard the Dungeon Theme would go, but here we are.
I like how they used songs from other games so it doesn't get boring. I loved it when they played a link to past...
It's about time ❤ I LOVE IT!!!!
This is one of the most incredible performances of anything ever, fuck
I will forever never not love BBs version of the Dark World theme
Legend of the Ocarina Tuner.
Fantastic band however need to check intonation and in need of a sound engineer as well.
I have always known Zelda to be a casual game you can beat in under an hour.
Someone tell Bit Brigade to do Pokemon Red/Blue next year!!!!
And can someone put up a tracklist with associated times in the video?
You guys are the best.
MegaMan X next?
The cover of the Song of Time is clapping to the beat *done right.*
The gameplay is still better in this video more so than the music it would seem.
Everybody's worrying about the band and I'm like: How are the bombs not giving Link damage?
So. Damn. Epic.
u guys should do either a "batman" playthrough since its quick..or a "guardian legend" playthrough since it has the best NES sound track :)...or FINALLY do "megaman 3" :)
But I"ve gotta give them credit for having the balls to try something so unique.
Journey, from here to over there, you find in your hand that shoots laser beams
so damn sick! I LOVE IT!
The fucking drummer! Omfg!!! I mean everything is amazing but holy shit!
Led Zelda.
love this band, is there an album I can buy or download of any of their stuff?
They have three albums, available on cd and digitally. They currently have Mega Band (mega man 2), Castlebandia (castelvania) and a ninja gaiden one.
It's like a Jazz Fusion post-funk sound, but if you know about these composers of these games, they were all into jazz and classical. Amazing performance.
This.. is.. so.. fucking.. epic.....
i think the song at 39:20 is the one played in hyrule temple stage in super smash bros. brawl.
"STOP TALKING!" "STOP TALKING SHUT UP!"
LOL
6:27 Triforce, baby!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Those fuckin blue cat knights, reeeeeeeeeeeee
Any drummer who sees this, just try this shit. It almost sounds simple but it's jazzy as hell. I'm hating myself for how much I suck.
10:29 made my day.
Strong bassist.
so what is the catchy name they are using for this performance? Triband, Zelbandia, Zeldaband, LinkBand, Legend of Band?
Legand of Bit Brigadia?
Have they not given this a name yet
+Albert P (Gentlemen2012) ZeldaPopolis
+Albert P (Gentlemen2012) Octo Rock
Zeldamn
What is 10:30 and how can I get it played on repeat for the rest of my life?
Dark World Dungeon theme from Link to the Past.
24:02 Percussion
DOUBLE DRAGON 2 plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!! :)
Could anybody tell me what song they are playing at 46:35 and till the end please? Too Epic!! :o Loved the whole performance!
I think that's from when you fight Ganon in A Link to the Past.
Weird. I posted the answer a couple of days ago, yet I can no longer see my comment? Anyway, like Pierce said, it's "Ganon Battle Theme" from Link to the Past.
Pierce Baxter Thank you man! The original is just as great as this rendition, but I just can't get over that lightning fast beat making me feel like the end is near and the final stretch to kick Ganon's backside is upon us... xD
11:58
0:22 STOP TALKING!!
What is the song at 34:21? That's absolutely phenomenal!
Master_Of_ Brownies Sanctuary theme from A Link to the Past
George Martin I can't believe I didn't remember that one. Thanks!
What are the themes at 12:53 and 19:30? They're the only ones I can't identify.
Tal Tal Heights and Temple of Time
39:20 I HAVE TO KNOW WHAT THEME THIS IS
Zelda II Great Palace
yeah great palace theme is awsome
15:56 je bande juteux
I think what they do is cool, but the guitars are out of tune with eachother and they aren't that great.
Jack Shriner first thing I heard. That first note killed the performance. Come on guys
they need a better sound engineer, otherwise I love em
For me Legend of Zelda was their least interesting game to do such performance, not only because of the songs but because of the style of the game (I had to skip because it became boring after some minutes). Mega Man 2 however was great, the best by far !
They're out of tune... damn... thy should have tuned their instruments first :I
I really don't hear it, but I guess im just tone deaf
I was on another video of theirs (Megaman 2 Full Performance) and I just couldn't enjoy it due their ear-wrenching out-of-tuneness.
I think the instruments are probably in tune. But the intonation of the guitars are off. You can mostly hear the high notes sounding off pitch.

How much money would you guys need to drive down to East Texas for a comic con in October?
2 people grew up on calculators.
rad concept but is this their first time playing their instruments.......ever
I think they are talented but just need some direction here. What's impressive is that this speed run is very cohesive.
Who here is paying more attention to the gamer's strategy than the well-played but out of tune music?
Dear Gawd and I thought Mega Man 2 was epic!
Is it too much to ask to tune your guitars before each show?
What a waiste of effort is to play out of tune for the entire show...
