@@cateredchaosmediaas Gunn said, the DCU isn’t trying to be “realistic”. Superheroes have existed for over 50 years before the events of Superman. So there is heavy science fiction, magic, monsters, and super dogs. That will do two things: separate The DCU from Marvel, and allow DC to mine its rich history of characters who may never have gotten a chance at live-action in a more “realistic” universe. There are so, so many great DC characters who aren’t a part of the JL.
I was thinking of movies and misspoke😅, However I don’t think smallville or Superman and Lois really count since they’re pretty different depictions, and I just forget Titans exists a lot 😂 -Tre
@cateredchaosmedia my only worry for this movie is that they're so many characters but I think one of James Gunn's strengths is he knows how to balance a lot of characters. Also he's good at getting lesser known characters time to shine. I liked Mr. Terrific in the Arrowverse and I know I'm gonna like him in this movie.
I share that same wariness, I kinda hope when the official trailer comes out we get a better understanding of the capacity of the other heroes. I think having so many introduced at once is a lot but there are some heroes like Mr. Terrific and Metamorpho(though I didn’t know who it was in the trailer) are interesting picks for a Superman movie. Guy Gardner too but that one’s gonna be a hit or miss for me lol.
When y’all start denouncing parts of why Superman is great that’s when we lose. Same thing Snyder did just in other aspects of the character. Krypto is part of Superman as Lois is, same thing with Batman and Robin.
The second to last guy had Krypto live rent-free in his head lol. We need a lighter feels-good movie so adding Krypto is definitely going to make that happen.
Krypto has always been a beloved part of the Superman fandom. He's the goodest boy in the universe. Hell even Batman has pets he has two dogs, a cow, and a pet Starro. DC isn't dark and edgy that's only a misconception from the awful DCEU. Trust me DC can be very lighthearted and colorful. Especially when it comes to Superman.
Saving the girl was my favorite shot. Like I wasn’t a fan of James Gunn taking over ALL of DC characters- like yeah he does well w these obscure characters and does this out of the word stuff w them. But to handle our Holy Trinity- Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman was concerning to me. But I went into this trailer truly with limited expectations. And I actually liked Krypto - he is good w having animals and creatures that we end up loving. So I know he will do Krypto well. But that shot of saving that little girl fkn GOT ME and got me good. Like that’s Superman! And the little boy doing this tiny prayer calling Superman also got me hard. And all the there characters are not justice league, they are doing an invert of the Boys. They will be corporately owned heroes and Superman will be the one that won’t fit in cause they will think he is corny and all like wait you do this just cause ?…. Superman will in the end show them what it means to be a hero while he struggles in this cynical world that thinks he is outdated. That I do know will be a plot in the film . James has confirmed it by dropping some knowledge here and there. And in the trailer once I saw Stagg Industries I knew it right away. - it makes sense that Guy Gardner would be down to be a corporate sponsored “superhero” and I believe Mr. Terrific will be the first one that breaks away from them and is inspired by Superman and understands what it means to be a TRUE Superhero. Guy Gardner is a dick. Like it’s known in the comics and his goofy hair is exactly what it is in the comics to emphasize his dickish goofiness. The rest of the solid Green Lanterns will come down the road while This universe is built up. - remember, the heroes we see now are kinda like the lower tier ones other than Mr. Terrific who in the end will “get it”.
I said from the beginning the dog was a good look, and I was right! Krypto got a lot of pop from those watching this trailer. Krypto merch will be flying off the shelf.
The dog with a cape takes him out of reality but not the flying alien that wears speedos and shoots lazer out his eyes while blowing ice
They say “It’s the little things” 😂

@cateredchaosmedia yeah. I know Titans gets a lot of hate but Krypto was badass in that show.
Ha that’s fair, definitely deserves shine

Don't underestimate krypto, he's not there to be silly he's the most reliable besides superman than any hero in there.

I like how Lex has a Bond villian vibe to him,

How this silly. How never hear Mr terrific
It would be nice to see the video instead of your heads.
Possible spoiler there is a live-action krypto in the DC Titans TV show.
I genuinely forget that show exists a lot but yes you’re right ha.
I was definitely only thinking of movies though and just misspoke.
