the antique gold looks great. :) and I've seen others fiddling with the moving parts as well. ^^ they are not simple castings. the hole in the side window comes from a vinyl rubber tyre pressing against the plastic for a longer period of time, like a year or so, I can't say. seems the softener from the vinyl melts the polystyrene eventually. I have seen it on old Carrera slot cars leaving tyre marks on track pieces and buildings, and some model kit tyre even left marks in the plastic body through one layer of basecoat and two layers of car paint... I wonder if it only happens if the pieces are inside a plastic bag? otherwise I fear for the various wheels of model kits I've built over the years.
I never thought of that Lothar, interesting fact . I'm sure these rubber tyres are full of chemicals because of the production process so maybe chemical reaction happens. Thank you for the info
