      Cable management. Most important the cable that runs from the laser, make sure you tie that one back to the top of the head so that it does not move or you will run into trouble down the track. Not sure if I showed that in any of the video. Apart from that you should be ok from memory.

      Hi Fabio. That's a great question. I have never tried to engrave glass personally but I will test it out if you have some time. The 20w would be a great option if your looking. I see a lot of people use Permanent Markers or black paint on glass surfaces to engrave them. Another option is to use an etching paste on the surface after the laser has marked out your pattern. Also if you follow the link in my description and copy the discount code you can save a bit of cash.

      @Austeration  3 місяці тому +1

      Hello Frank. Not sure what you meant by changing the laser. If your talking about the settings then yes you can adjust as needed. This unit is only a 5w and is really better suited for engraving . Depending on what your wanting to cut I would really recommend looking at the 10w or 20w units. The more power you have the quicker cutting will be otherwise you have to make multiple cuts. Also the air assist pump that comes with the larger units is a must for cutting.
      If you need any more information please ask, I am more than happy to help.

    • @Austeration
      @Austeration  4 місяці тому

      It all depends on what your plans are for the unit. If your only going to be Using it for small projects then you could get a smaller honeycomb other wise 400mm by 400mm.
      The air pump is used to assist in cutting not remove fumes. I don't think your unit will have the fitting to allow you to connect an air pump to it.
      You might have to upgrade to a higher power unit if your serious about cutting. I think I said earlier, if your just wanting to engrave things then this unit is spot on for that and there is no point in getting a honeycomb for it.
      Get it out and set it up so you can start to play around with it.

      Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by A7 this is only a 5W model. Can I ask what you plan on using one for ? This will determine what wattage you should be looking at.

    Can I use it inside or is it too stinky? Sorry I am german 😂

      Hi thanks for watching. It depends what your doing with it. If your using it on wood it can get very smokey and stinky so it's best to use it in a well ventilated area. You can also purchase enclosures to cover the units that have an exhaust fan in them. I have a video you can watch on this. Hope this helps.
      Happy to help with any questions you might have 😊 Greetings from Australia
