Just traded two guitars to get the LTD white snake bite. Also have a red 401 and a flat black vee. Once I went ESP I didn’t really wanna try anything else!
Haha, amazing... I've been doing the "one push-pull volume knob" thing for over a decade now, it's in all my customs, and I've re-soldered a lot of my non-customs as well. With two humbuckers, who t.f. needs the middle position. We're playing metal here, not funk. :) I don't have any ESP customs, but a bunch of Japanese ESPs. Agree that they're just that little bit better than most others. Perfect craftsmanship, perfect materials, good design, thought-threw features. But LTDs... not so much. In recent years, the 1000 Deluxe series are no longer built in Korea like before, but in Indonesia. I bought two 1.500€ LTD 1000 Deluxes a while ago, and both are absolute trash. Sharp frets, finish issues, battery DOA, chewed-up screw heads, zero factory set-up, zero quality control, the list continues. And on top of all the issues they come with, they don't even come with a gig bat, let alone a case. Imagine a 1.500€ guitar coming wrapped in foam inside a cardboard box. A US-built Gibson SG Standard is a 1.500€ guitar. Imagine that coming wrapped in foam inside a cardboard. The f*cking cheek. Not a fan of LTD anymore, they went from an affordable version of ESP guitars to an investor-driven feaature-list-centered money-making machine.
A 46 minute long video of ESP guitars madness? instalike lol. I own 2 custom shops from ESP and they're my best playing/feeling guitars that i got. Soundwise maybe they're not too different even from a LTD (good ol' EMG 81) but feelwise is what set them apart. Would love to have a RA tho but they're hard to get by. See u guys on Headbangers boat 🔥

Being a huge deftones fan and an owner of several of Stephen’s signature models, I’m curious if you have any stories of staying in touch with him over the years after the Pass Out era of Chimaira. Did you guys cross paths again besides sharing the stage at festivals? With Steph being such a critical part of your introduction with ESP, I’d hope you guys would remain on friendly terms throughout the years. I’m particularly interested in whether you’ve heard his thoughts on the band’s sound evolving after Pass Out and beyond.
You know Sam, I don't think I've seen or Spoken to Steph since that day he recorded with us back in 2001! Crazy right? I hadn't thought about that until right now. Great video Rob, there was a news article out where Paul Gilbert had 4 guitars stolen while on tour in Germany. I was wondering if you have ever had anything stolen while on the road? Do you leave all the custom models at home?
9:37 very satisfying to have an all (black) high polished back including the neck polishing it untill it shines. I had a guitar like that and I had the more usual guitars where the necks are not painted at the back. Although satin finish necks have a smoother feel it looks kinda boring in comparison with high gloss paint all over the guitar.

When you were able to get these custom guitars, did you have to pay a certain percentage or are those absolutely free or how does it go about when doing the custom?
Hey Rob, do you still make any money/royalties from the Chimaira days? Being in one of the top 10 big "game changer" bands of that era, I would hope you at least make something still. Thanks, bro!
Yes, we'll always receive royalties from our music being played on things like Sirius/XM, Spotify, TV, etc. We refer to it as, "mailbox money", because you never know when it's going to show up, or how much the check might be for, but it's always a welcomed surprise to see those checks show up in the mailbox!
Pickup question. Ive heard some players say of active pickups, "you lose the tone of the guitar because you are essentially playing a pickup". I assume because of the active preamp, in this persons opinion, takes away the unique sounds of the guitar. What are your thoughts on that, being that you've always been an EMG guy over the years...
@@infinidominion i completely agree. Ive been using them exclusively for 20 years as a primarily metal player. But I think they work well for everything.
Hi Rob, can you recommend a metal axe under 600 € with active pickups and without floyd rose? my budget is little bit short and i need a good guitar for my new album. thanks man
I wasn't able to find any ltd's that met all of that criteria, but I think this one is pretty close, and pretty sweet! www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/M201HTLBkS--esp-ltd-m-201-ht-electric-guitar-black-satin And here's a page showing all the guitars with similar search filters: www.sweetwater.com/store/search?s=ltd+guitars&Brand=ESP&Availability=In+Stock&Category=Guitars&Left-%2FRight-handed=Right&Number+of+Strings=6&Price+Range=%24500+to+%24750#search-header

OMG THE CUSTOMSHOP ESP RA-5!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🫡🫡👌🏽 Welcome to the Gold accent club my friend and that paint job!Dude this is the Dodge Redeye Hellcat of ESP !!!fucking sick!lol P.S. Reason being why your back plate was not recessed was because you wanted a Strat replica ESP version custom shop,so if you look at all the Fender Stratocasters including the Squier’s Stratocasters the back plates are never recessed but top mounted and screwed.I dislike this as well very odd I love a smooth back as well. #BUFFALO #NEWYORK

I wanna know if you don’t prefer direct mounted pickup over the pickup with pickup ring? Because direct mounted pickup sound is more stable while moving during the live show, no? 🙏🤘🤗🫂🤗👍🙌

Here you go! ua-cam.com/video/e455K-GHlmQ/v-deo.html
Rob the public has spoken we want you to work with esp and get us some reissue signatures !
That would be awesome!
@RobArnoldWorld you have a huge fan base and ESP knows it I bet you could make it happen you deserve it you write some of the heaviest riffs in Drop C you became a huge influence to players everywhere
@@Gothguitarist 👊
I’d say next video show your entire collection of guitars but that might be a bit longer of a video👊🏻😁still waiting to find an RA-600 but it’s slim pickins since nobody wants to get rid of em once they get one,…not a bad thing either🤘🏻🤘🏻
I know! It's bittersweet! I want them to be more available, but I'm also proud of how saught after they are! It's an honor🙏
Beautiful instruments Arnold i hope to have a ESP someday i have 4 Ltd 's 2018 Alexi Lahio Greeny V,Kirk Hammitt Red sparkle 1 of 500,KH 30th anniversary spider, and a 2017 black EC 1000 deluxe, wish i could get your AR I 600 that would be super cool, any way the build quality is superb on all 4 of my LTD's,U have a awesome channel 🫡🎶🎸🍺
Hey thanks man! And that's a hell of a collection you've got there too!
for me the most beautiful is the RA-3 I just find it perfect too bad he doesn't sell it but as soon as I find a ra600 I'll take it
When you were able to get these custom guitars, did you have to pay a certain percentage or are those absolutely free or how does it go about when doing the custom?
If you're using distortion, it's hard to find a better option than EMG
@@infinidominion i completely agree. Ive been using them exclusively for 20 years as a primarily metal player. But I think they work well for everything.
I think the 81's create a badass tone for me! So for those who say you lose the tone with active pickups, I'd have to disagree!
I had to pause the video for a while. When I came back I saw you looked a bit upset so I then continued to watch…
🤣🤘
CLE music 💪👏
Hi Rob, can you recommend a metal axe under 600 € with active pickups and without floyd rose? my budget is little bit short and i need a good guitar for my new album. thanks man
I wasn't able to find any ltd's that met all of that criteria, but I think this one is pretty close, and pretty sweet! www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/M201HTLBkS--esp-ltd-m-201-ht-electric-guitar-black-satin
And here's a page showing all the guitars with similar search filters:

Rob Arnold and Josh Middleton are the greatest guitar players for me! Long live Chimaira and Long live Sylosis!
👊
I have that issue of Guitar School.
That non-recessed backplate might be because of clearance issues with the FR, depending on the thickness of the body.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Perhaps!
@RobArnoldWorld I hope y’all play here in music city
The sharp corner on arch tops is a definite drawback.
What is the song at 28:50 ?
Just a little tune I put together for the video. 🤘
@@RobArnoldWorld Man, this is fantastic. Sounds kinda like Death's Symbolic. I thought it was some track from your solo album.
Totally deserves a longer version in the future.
@@jorgea.9988 Thanks dude! Now that you mention it, I can hear some Death too!🤘
You can take a picture off them all also..... saves time to wash your car! 🤭
Hey can anyone help me with learning the phrygian scale? I'm pretty confused
Give this a try bro! ua-cam.com/video/bcQy4Vx9LX0/v-deo.html

#chimairaforbloodstock2025 ???? Come to the uk.
OMG THE CUSTOMSHOP ESP RA-5!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🫡🫡👌🏽 Welcome to the Gold accent club my friend and that paint job!Dude this is the Dodge Redeye Hellcat of ESP !!!fucking sick!lol

Ha! The Dodge Redeye Hellcat of ESP"! I love that! 🤘
And what you said about the back plate makes perfect sense bro!
Cheers to Buffalo!
@@RobArnoldWorld Hell Yeah my guy!!lol That jewel is a beauty, glad you decided to keep that baby at home and not tour with it lol and Salute to you brother thank you for contributing and being a pioneer in the metal scene since the before the early 2000’s and beyond your one of the OG’s that the modern metal needs to recognize and pay homage to, Much love fam!!!

I wanna know if you don’t prefer direct mounted pickup over the pickup with pickup ring? Because direct mounted pickup sound is more stable while moving during the live show, no?
🙏🤘🤗🫂🤗👍🙌
Honestly I've never noticed any difference or even thought twice about it! So no preference! I suppose it's all about the aesthetics for any particular guitar.
What's the song at 22:10?
