  • This is a time lapse video for an event Dyventive constructed for a client. Once the stage is set up - all the sports imagery is holographic video. The basketballs, the hoops and the banners all did not exist on site live -- but it appears to the audience that they are there.
More than just smoke and mirrors, holographic imaging is a throw-back to Pepper's ghost technology of the 1800s. Today, it incorporates 45-degree-angled Mylar film utilizing HD signals and specialized projection on a reflective screen. Through the magic of this high-tech illusion, viewers are able to experience a "live," holographic event without the need for 3D glasses or other special equipment.
Dyventive does not stake any claim or licensing on the music in this video, on the name of Kareem Abul Jabbar as it appears on stage or on the brand Tasigna, which is distributed by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. The song playing is The Sentinel-FiXT Celldweller.

pepper's ghost effect, projection of images of objects against black background onto transparent yet reflective surface gives illusion of objects existing within the bi-refringent plane.
