Best comment ever! Stoked for you!
I just doubled your subscriber count!
@@JesseG085 thank you 🙏🏼
DUDE SAME
That’s exactly what I’ve been begging for lately 😂.
My 7yr old daughter has watched your show for 5 years now an randomly yells "one day" in her best marlin voice.. She thinks you should make a mermaid bait. (Would make her very happy)
it was made on 1 reel1rod channel - this video, ua-cam.com/video/jLEEtC3Ke5o/v-deo.html
@@Dimchface my daughter loves marlin baits an has never heard of 1rod. In my opinion 1rod is more of a creek hopper
Noob
That is so funny. My sister would love to see a mermaid
Me: Thinking he’s going old school and not talking during the video
Marling Baits: WoAh!!!, Bob Sagget
Yea you got to love it
That is the same thing I thought, too.
Came here to post this... So glad when he started talking. Videos are more informative AND entertaining when he does.
My grandson, Trace, has been watching you obsessively (he fishes every waking hour till I make him come in to eat). He made a bait last night from a piece of hardwood, a hand saw, spray paint, glue and a hook! He caught a bass...! He's digging up the garage for stuff to make baits out of right now lol. Thanks for inspiring youth, someday you'll see him on UA-cam!!
That’s amazing!
This made my day its so wholesome😭 I'm the same way
There is nothing better than to inspire young minds to create and use their hands to bring it to life.. Nate does a great job of inspiring everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got out of school and now I have this!!!!! Can’t wait for this episode this is going to be amazing!!!
your baits look sweet! gonna check out the flying fish after this vid
@@andrewmorgan3203 thanks!
I Just sub to u man those baits look sick
You just got outta school
I just woke up and got outta bed
I am going to sleep now watch your flying fish tomorrow
Love how you clear coated your deck while coating the lure. Multitasking.
Literally the best bait making channel on UA-cam. I showed my sister (who designs shoes for a brand name company) and she was blown away by your craftsmanship!
How does this have no comments also I'm a huge fan
I just witnessed a man drilling 3 perfect holes without rotating the drill bit...
I thought that too
had me dyin of laughter lol
Its cos the framerate of the camera matched with the speed of the drill
@@SinkUser ok I think everyone knew that and what about it?
I love that this guy just films himself making baits. He talks whrn he wants to talk, makes what he love to make. It's great.
Started out like the OG days when you would hardly talk, been a while
Nostalgic
I saw the thumbnail and lost it! That paint job is amazing! Definitely one of the best yet 👌
I'm a simple man. I see that Marling Baits released a new video and I drop whatever I'm doing and watch it.
I was rewatching the no power tools build and had an idea. What if you made a bait using your non-dominant hand?
As long as you're safe, of course.
I love the glitter in the clearcoats, it just makes the baits come alive
Please make the worlds smallest glide bait.
Worlds biggest would also be excepted
@@drewoutdoors8628 no it wouldn’t.
Yes glide bait for people with out swimbait rods
@@markdewitt8111 haha, I have a specific glide bait set up and I just bought a hinkle. I just wanted to see how small he could make it.
@@markdewitt8111 gancraft claw 70
I am a Moroccan and I love your work during quarantine days
New challenge: catch a fish and build a bait based off of it
How's he make a bait out of snags?
@@PetesCreativeRecycling he could make a lure that looks like a tree 😂
Hahaha! You guys are brutal!
@@PetesCreativeRecycling One does wonder...
@@PetesCreativeRecycling hahaha savage
Love the old school silent vibe on this video, love when you talk too but really nice old school throwback vibe
Wow! that's a mighty impressive bait. I'd love to see you try to recreate the bucca bull shad, as you did with the most expensive lure.
Glad you decided to talk. Your videos aren't the same without your brilliant commentary.
Hey mate(marling) my name is lloyd I live in south eastern Australia(victoria), I'm a professional fisherman and I also run a charter fishing boat for 6 months of the year! I am an insanely keen fisherman, always have always will be, hence committing my whole life to it.... and I am TOTALLY! ADICTED! TO! YOUR! VIDEOS!! You had me tossing up wether to start making hard body lures or soft plastics for myself... but I'm just soo taken back by the art of lure carving! The skill and intricacies are just endless, so I'm about to set myself up to be able to do it at home as I have very limited space, I did have a dry run but I wouldn't actually fish with what I made, hence needing some extra equipment(band saw, drill press, air brush and so on) to make my life easier as doing it all freehand carving and painting start to Finnish was just Impossible LOL! However the squid jigs I made and painted by hand are dinomite! but nevertheless I WILL manage as with the right equipment I am highly proficient, if I stuff up or fail I will always keep going until I succeed. I don't know if you can pm on here but I would like your email so I can get your details so we can communicate and I can send you packages...........BECAUSE!
I will be filming it much the same as you, only to more or less track my progress and share with others for feedback be it good or bad, but in a totally different enviroment, on the other side of the planet, with both salt and fresh water fishing being in very close proximity to me thus requiring different styles for the different species.
however me being such a fan of yours I would like you to have the honour of making my first good looking, functioning, fishable, lure 'O'FISHAL' and have it be marling baits certified! and then you will keep it as a thank you for the wealth of knowledge that you share 😁. You have ignited a new passion in me and I am grateful that I happened apon your channel all that time ago.
I really do hope that you see this msg and we can get in touch!
Best regards,
Lloyd G
When are we going to see the baits on the wall fishing series? June 1st and we haven't seen some of these since winter
The level of detail blows my mind every time!!! I want 1 soo much!
Up to 4:35 this reminded me.so much of the old school bait videos before you started talking us through the builds. It was kinda cool.
This channel is so underrated!
Watching you paint baits is my favorite part of this channel. I loved this video.
For 500K subs, you should make a bait that looks like superglue and cocai- umm... i mean baking soda....
With the no talking start of the video I thought we were getting a throwback to the early days of the channel. Large Marge is large!
That bait look so healthy to the fish they were scared to attack it.
I love the sound of 2 stroke dirt bikes i find it more piece full when I hear them while fishing
I thought it was micro and for crappie. But now, ummm, I don’t think a crappie could eat that haha 😂
that could eat a crappie!
I mean...
During the crappie spawn
They’ll probably eat anything
Nice throw back to the old videos. I enjoyed it. I did enjoy it when you started talking again. And I laughed like mad when the first words were Bob Sagget!
Have you ever tried making a Wiggke bait? Would be an interesting "ONE DAY"
Been watching your videos to pass the day...this is by far in the top 5 of the best paint jobs
Hey millken just lost his last heinkle shad and his whole comment section was wondering if you could make him a new one for a vid
No better way to end a long school day with a Marling Baits video!
Me: Wow those scales made that look awesome
Marling: "It looks alright"
You should be really heckin' proud of that paint job. Unbelievable.
One of these days Bob Saget is going to comment and ask why his name is being brought up so often 👀🤣
Thanks Marling Baits for making these wonderful lures and videos.
We appreciate what you do.
Next bait is a Tremmor ! Hell yea Brother!
Kevin Bacon approves.
Graboid
Love the fast motion sequence of failure with the somber music!
4 minutes into the vid and we've got 2 words.
Woah and Bob saggit
First 4 minutes there felt like a throwback to the awkward silent days. Yes i have been here that long
The river, where marling bait lures go to die.
Where I will one day go to collect them.🤣
Made my first crankbait yesterday. Tryed it out and it swam great! Only for it to be lost to a rock lol. I took inspiration from you! Trying to make another!
I would love to see you build a submarine lure lol. it makes it look like all the fish you catch on it got eaten by megalodon or something
he continues to blow my mind with everything from the paint job to the careful crafting. amazing work
The skill level is improving as well. Inspirational on so many levels
Could you make an epic bait mold so you can shoot your stencils as well as sell them to other fancy bait makers?
Fancy bait makers usualy just cut or make thier own stencils.
Man you have inspired me to pick back up my airbrush! I just stumbled on your channel and I dabbled in painting baits for a bit but life got busy and I completely stopped...your attention to detail and new ideas you've given me have sparked my interest like never before! Thanks for being such a badass man 👊
Always beautiful baits, never disappointed.
I like how the forstner bit on the drill press matched the camera speed.
I love these videos so much I actually started tying my own jigs and hooks, love the content keep it up man.
Definitely one of the prettiest lures you've made
I have an army
We have a hulk
I’ve got a A jar of dirt 🎶
I’ve got 16 clear coats
👁- 👁
I made a lure in a woodworking class because of you, you have inspired me to make baits
Now that it's starting to warm up we need more topwater baits!
Gives me old marling video vibes... in the beginning ! Great video and beautiful bait as always
Making a video without talking was just a clever ruse to hide the fact the lead pot wasn't plugged in. BTW, the sneak peek looks like a Chinook.
A new Marking Baits video is like a hug from the Internet
Wife *goes into labor*
Me: "Dammit Patty Marling Baits just uploaded a video"
Lmao
That's so true 😂😂😂😂
That was one of the most beautiful crankbaits I have ever seen. Bravo good Sir.
Imagine how calloused his hands must be
Ask Mrs Marling
Its amazing how much you work on something you know you can easily lose. Wow
Marling Baits: I don’t even care anymore”
Also: I have a thick skin toward loosing baits.
Me: BS- you’re a terrible liar. You’re pissed! Heck, I’m mad you lost it!
The color on the gill plates are amazing.
Quite relaxing music near the end with putting the eye on, it was nice.
I went back earlier today and watched the first video you posted on UA-cam...Your personality is as great or maybe even better than your craftsmanship. And I mean that as a sincere compliment. It’s no wonder your channel has grown so much. It’s a pleasure watching you work. It’s much better with the dialog. 🙂
Nate is probably the first guy I have seen that has not went crazy about a harmless snake. He just went huh look at that snake, then started fishing.
That was a beautiful bait, I would be heart broken if I’d lost it! The silent treatment, just like the early days. Always pleased to see another Marling Baits pop up, keep up the good work.
The first half of this vid was like a throw back episode to the early Marling baits vids. 2nd half was more modern day content. Good Mash up.
I lost a $15 lure yesterday... I was extremely bothered by my mistake. Now seeing how well you handled loosing that beautiful lure you made makes me feel a lot better. Your work is worth hundreds. 💰
Dude you are a genius. Here in Brazil this bait is called Lambari. Congratulations on the work!!!
You nailed the realism on the last two.nice bass
It’s comforting to know that the legendary Nate Marling has the same 4.99 cabelas multi tool as me
You’ve outdone yourself with the paint on this one! Great job!
I made a muskrat lure when I was a kid. Took a pc of beaver fur from a fly tying kit and glued it to a foam core 5/0 long shank weedlless and then added a pc of black leather boot lace for a tail. I busted more bass on that than any store bought lure Ive ever owned. Gosh I miss that lure.
True master at his craft. Thanks for sharing
I started making baits thanks to your videos. I have learned so much from you !!!👍👍❤️❤️
Beautiful lure! Superior craftsmanship!,
Sir you are a true legend in the fishing world!! Great Job Man!!
2:38 half awake watching this video before bed and i get a nice “wooooahh” from mr marling. thank you sir
I'm still upset about you losing this one, what a paint job!
An actual maniac for painting all of those individual scales! Great work :)
I am from Algeria, and your work is really great, with all my best wishes for more success.
You live and you learn man! Keep up the good work!!
Can we all just appreciate two videos in 4 days! 😍
Lure makers: I spent hours producing the perfect lure to lose on some junk in the river
Fish: *strikes at block of wood*
No scale tip: get a measurement of length and girth at largest diameter. You can look up a matrix when you get home that entering those 2 measurements will provide an estimated weight that is surprisingly accurate. I've plugged in several fish that I did weigh and the calculated weight was always within .2 of actual.
That was a beautiful lure, and obviously the bass agreed.
That was probably my favorite bait you've made. What a beauty, and a bass to match! Hate you lost it.
Beautiful bait as always! AMAZING action to that thing!!! Lol at first I was like NOOOOOO he’s not gonna talk at all??? Then “WOAH”, and “BOB SAGET” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love the one days, but reeeeeally diggin' these detailed builds as well. Awesome lookin' stuff!!!
The first three words of this video were “woah.. Bob Saget” and I felt that.
Отличная работа! Да и Рыба её тоже оценила.
You do very beautiful work. Thank you.
You should do a finger mullet or pin fish swim bait and go snook fishing with them or make a whole series making saltwater baits and taking them on a trip maby here in Florida catch all type of inshore fish I would enjoy seeing you hook a monster snook or tarpon and wow loved the end result on the thread fin I would buy it !!
I'm glad you started talking towards the end cause you talking makes the videos way better lol😂
Great paint work! It's been fun watching and thanks for inspiring me to be more creative.
That is so beautiful! Super realistic!
