Gonna be honest, gouken’s win quote against oni is actually pretty sad when you think about it. He’s basically coming to terms with the fact that what he beat is no longer his brother.
People say Gouken and Akuma are tied in terms of strength. I actually think Gouken is stronger, but deep down he loves his brother, so he forces himself to hold back just enough to beat him, but not kill him. Gouken even refused to kill Akuma after one of their fights, with Akuma shouting "Kill me, you have to". Gouken definitely holds back. The only time he doesn't is when he fights Oni, where Gouken admits he's petrified of him (the only time Gouken was ever intimidated) and declared his brother dead since Akuma sacrificed all that made him human to become Oni. Gouken truly is a damn beast

Arguably Gouken is more powerful than Akuma, as almost every time they fight, Gouken is victorious, and the only time Akuma won, he had to resort to using the Shun Goku Satsu to do so.
Yeah but since now that Gouken had perfected the Power of Nothingness granting him immunity against Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu & Akuma perfected the Satsui no Hado, I'll call them a tough tie. :)

If this is "hardest" mode, it looks so incredibly easy. That's like pitting someone that's "Hell" tier in Diablo II or III against someone that's in Torment IV or Torment V. :-P
akuma and gouken's relationship is how Ryu and Ken's would've gone if Ryu lost himself to The Satsui no hado and Ken had to be the one to put an end to it
They should make the characters talk as anime because that would be fun instead of having to read because it would be cool to see footage like the animated movies.
