- I spent some time testing out Freewell VND X Mist filters and wanted to share my thoughts about them, I hope you enjoy.
Filmed on the FX3 with Sigma 24-70mm & Sigma 35mm lens.

I almost got the 6-9, but it does seem a little extreme
It's that UA-cam algorithm! It really is too stylized for most of what I'd need it for, a shame because it would make a killer combo.

Just ordered an ordinary 6-9 it'll probably suit my other filters better :)
Fantastic sample footage, looks good and really shows what the filters look like. The 2-5 is so perfect for day to day while the 6-9 is much too strong as a normal dehancer-style effect. Argh.

Nice review. My 2-5 Freewell gets a lot of use. The hard stops make it easy to dial in the right exposure.
Thank you Bill, and same for me, the 2-5 pretty much lives on my 24-70mm. Recently purchased the NiSi True Color VND's but they're so bulky. Of course, the color is more accurate but the design is chunky.

do you need any adapter to attach the ND to a sigma 18-35, and btw love the review
They have a pretty good range of sizes for these things, I think the 18-35mm lens is a 72mm front filter thread, and Freewell does make a VNDxMist filter in that size, so yeah!
