Dear Sheikh, You have, in this lecture, answered SO MANY of the questions which have occurred in my mind in my hours of contemplation. More and more I am widening my knowledge, and my understanding of this beloved faith. Oh Almighty Allah, (SWT) please grant that your people stay on the “ Sira tul mustakeen” and not corrupt your word through fear of gainsayers. Sheikh, You are a good teacher... and this comes from one who has taught children and young people for 57 years.
"Allah links causes with efforts..." i.e you dont just pray and hope for change, you pray for it and you work for it. I see it like climbing a ladder. Your prayer is like your hands and your efforts are like your feet. You dont climb a ladder by grabbing at the rungs and pulling yourself up, and you don't climb one by walking up like stairs without using your hands to guide yourself on it. In life you do not just pray and pray without putting forth effort, and you don't struggle and fight for what you want without also praying for these things. It takes a balance of both. Allahu Akbar.

to add to your point about Isra and Maraj being a real event and not a dream is that Allah has mentioned it in the Qur'an. It would have been made clear in the Qur'an if it was a dream. Also, you mentioned before that Gabriel came down to clean the prophet Muhammad's heart before the event. Another reason why it had to be real and not a dream. Why go through all that if it's just a dream.
Tell this to dr Ghamdi. I don't understand why he has a bizarre understandings about everything. He doesn't believe isra al meraj to be real instead he thinks it is dream again he doesn't believe Jesus pbuh is still alive.
Episode 21 & Episode 22 & Episode 23 Notes (Started on EP21 Comments) Jahannam: The Prophet SAW looked into Jahannam and saw many of the punishments: For the thief: They will have disfigured faces and they will swallow coals made out of fire. These coals would go through their bodies and then exit via their anuses. For the backbiter: They will have nails of copper and then they will proceed to scratch themselves severely. For the fornicator: They will be eating rotten and infested meat. For those who engaged in interest: They will have huge bellies to the extent where they cannot stand up. Then animals will come and trample on them. For the hypocrites: They will have nails of scissors and of copper. They will use them to cut their own lips and tongues. This is because they would tell people to act pious yet, act like sinners themselves. After seeing both Jannah and Jahannam. The Prophet SAW descended back to earth and then rode Al Buraq from Jerusalem to Makkah. The Prophet SAW then went back to sleep and woke up in the Haram. The next day, the Prophet SAW felt anxiety about the fact that, he was going to have to tell the people about Al Isra Wal Miraj. He encountered Abu Jahal who noticed SAW’s sadness and thus the Prophet SAW told him that he had gone from Makkah to Jerusalem last night. Abu Jahal gathered all of Makkah and they began quizzing the Prophet SAW about Jerusalem. The Prophet SAW answered all of the questions and the people were satisfied that, he had described it accurately. But, SAW will still accused of sorcery. After this, one of the Qureshi’s found Abu Bakr RA and told him about the Prophet SAW journey in hopes of killing Abu Bakr’s eman. Yet, Abu Bakr RA didn’t doubt the Prophet SAW at all and thus earned the title of AS Saddiq. The primary purpose of Al Isra Wal Miraj was to show the Prophet Muhammad SAW that, all of the things he had been preaching, were in fact completely true. This journey occurred in order to strengthen his resolve and prepare SAW for what was to come. Al Isra Wal Miraj was a gift from Allah SWT to the Prophet SAW because it benefitted him the most. The Isra Wal Miraj also were what led to the commandment of five daily Salaahs. However, these five daily Salaahs were all two rakaats at the time. Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT is wearing a hijab from his creation because Allah SWT’s face has rays which, are so powerful that they would destroy anything he looks at. In this world you cannot look at Allah SWT but, in the Akhira it will be possible. Fun Trivia fact: Some scholars consider the Al Isra Wal Miraj, to be the greatest miracle that the Prophet SAW personally received. Fun Trivia fact: We do not know the day and month that the Al Isra Wal Miraj occurred, as it was not important. Fun Trivia fact: Praying within the Hateem, is the same as praying within the Kabah as it was initially a part of the original Kabah but, was reduced by the Quraysh when they rebuilt the Kabah. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW only rode Al Buraq to Bayt Al Maqdis and back to Makkah. Not up to the Heavens. Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT mentions Milk in the Qur’an. Fun Trivia fact: Since Muhammad SAW led all of the Prophets in Salaah, this thus makes him the leader of All of the Ummahs. Fun Trivia fact: Bayt Al-Maqdis when the Prophet SAW visited it, was a garbage dump, due to the disrespect that early Christians had for the Jewish holy temple. Fun Trivia fact: Al Buraq has been ridden by people other than the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the past. Fun Trivia fact: Al Buraq does not have any wings. Fun Trivia fact: All of the 7 Samawat have a gatekeeper and a gate that Jibreel AS had to ask permission, before he could pass through them meaning this was done 7 times. Fun Trivia fact: The order of the Prophets AS that, met Muhammad SAW in the 7 skies, were NOT based upon their levels of piety. Yet, rather they were a welcoming committee consisting of some of the noblest Prophets AS. Fun Trivia fact: Adam AS and Ibrahim AS were the only two Prophet AS, who welcomed Muhammad SAW by calling him a “noble son”. The rest of the Prophets AS, referred the Prophet SAW as a brother. Fun Trivia fact: When the Prophet SAW, saw Yusuf AS in the 3rd Heaven. It was here that he said that famous statement that, “it was as if Prophet Yusuf AS was given half of all beauty”. Fun Trivia fact: Yahya AS mother, is the sister of Maryam AS. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophets AS are in their graves praying, with the only exception being ISA AS who was raised. The Prophet SAW, saw Musa AS praying Salaah in his grave, during the journey to Bayt Al Maqdis. Fun Trivia fact: The Baitul Ma’mur was created long before the Kabah on the earth and every day 70,000 angels visit it. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW had to have an audience with Allah SWT above the Samawat for the Salaah to be established. This never happened for Hajj or Zakat or fasting which, shows how Salaah is the most important act. Fun Trivia fact: Even though Muslims do 5 Salaahs. The reward is equal to doing 50. Fun Trivia fact: Only 3 Prophets AS spoke to Allah SWT. Adam, Musa and Muhammad SAW. Fun Trivia fact: There is no living creature beyond the Sidrat Al Muntaha. This means that, the Prophet SAW went to a level during the ascension that no living creature has been too before. Fun Trivia fact: The Sidrat Al Muntaha ends in Jannat Firdaus and the throne of Allah SWT is above it Fun Trivia fact: The angel Malik is mentioned once in the Qur’an Fun Trivia fact: Ibrahim AS gave Salaam to the entire Muslim Ummah on Al Isra Wal Miraj and advised the Ummah to, do much zikr in order to gain rewards in Jannah. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW, saw Dajjal during Al Isra Wal Miraj and Dajjal had a left bloated eye. Fun Trivia fact: Every person has a personal Malak Al Maut, meaning an angel whose sole purpose for existence, is to take a person’s soul once their time is up. This type of Malak Al Maut is different to the Arch Angel Malak Al Maut. Fun Trivia fact: Each person has 4 angels with them at all times from birth to death. There are the two honourable scribes and the two who protect a person from anything except what Allah SWT has decreed for that person. Fun Trivia fact: Doing good deeds can increase your life-span. Doing dua’s can repel calamities. Doing sins can cause you not to receive provisions. All this is according to a Hadith of the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: Qadar means destiny. Qadr is that which has been destined. Fun Trivia fact: There are 5 levels of Qadar: 1.Qadar Al Azzali: This is the Qadar that Allah SWT wrote 50,000 years prior to the creation of anything. This is written on the preserved tablet and cannot be changed at all. 2.Allah SWT made a divine decree when all of humanity testified that Allah SWT is our lord. This occurred prior to humanities earthly life. 3.Lifetime Qadar: This is written down by Allah SWT, for each child when they are in the womb of their mothers. Allah SWT will decree their life-spans, actions and whether they will go to Jannah or Jahannam. 4.Yearly Qadar: Laylatal Qadr is this type of Qadr. Where Allah SWT on the night of power, will send down the destinies of his creation for the next year. 5.The Daily Qadar: Allah SWT decrees the daily actions of his creation. The Daily and Yearly Qadar’s can change. But, this change has already been documented in the Preserved Tablet meaning that, Allah SWT knew this change was going to happen. It’s just the angels and creation that did not know. Fun Trivia fact: A shaheed does not live in Jannah but, is rather flying in the skies of Jannah as a green bird. This is because Muhammad SAW will be the first person to enter Jannah after Qiyamah, after Adam AS initially left. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it. I feel sorry for our prophet Muhammad ﷺ I can't imagine how hard it was for him to see people ridicule him and not believe him. May Allah give him maqam almahnoud.
The journey and the description looks to me had a message too from god for humanity- heaven and hell were described and the people burning and having punishment in a particular manner like scratching are more figurative (and maybe symbolic) messages for wrong doers!

to add to your point about Isra and Maraj being a real event and not a dream is that Allah has mentioned it in the Qur'an. It would have been made clear in the Qur'an if it was a dream. Also, you mentioned before that Gabriel came down to clean the prophet Muhammad's heart before the event. Another reason why it had to be real and not a dream. Why go through all that if it's just a dream.
Tell this to dr Ghamdi. I don't understand why he has a bizarre understandings about everything. He doesn't believe isra al meraj to be real instead he thinks it is dream again he doesn't believe Jesus pbuh is still alive.

Jahannam:
The Prophet SAW looked into Jahannam and saw many of the punishments:
For the thief: They will have disfigured faces and they will swallow coals made out of fire. These coals would go through their bodies and then exit via their anuses.
For the backbiter: They will have nails of copper and then they will proceed to scratch themselves severely.
For the fornicator: They will be eating rotten and infested meat.
For those who engaged in interest: They will have huge bellies to the extent where they cannot stand up. Then animals will come and trample on them.
For the hypocrites: They will have nails of scissors and of copper. They will use them to cut their own lips and tongues. This is because they would tell people to act pious yet, act like sinners themselves.
After seeing both Jannah and Jahannam. The Prophet SAW descended back to earth and then rode Al Buraq from Jerusalem to Makkah. The Prophet SAW then went back to sleep and woke up in the Haram.
The next day, the Prophet SAW felt anxiety about the fact that, he was going to have to tell the people about Al Isra Wal Miraj. He encountered Abu Jahal who noticed SAW’s sadness and thus the Prophet SAW told him that he had gone from Makkah to Jerusalem last night. Abu Jahal gathered all of Makkah and they began quizzing the Prophet SAW about Jerusalem. The Prophet SAW answered all of the questions and the people were satisfied that, he had described it accurately. But, SAW will still accused of sorcery.
After this, one of the Qureshi’s found Abu Bakr RA and told him about the Prophet SAW journey in hopes of killing Abu Bakr’s eman. Yet, Abu Bakr RA didn’t doubt the Prophet SAW at all and thus earned the title of AS Saddiq.
The primary purpose of Al Isra Wal Miraj was to show the Prophet Muhammad SAW that, all of the things he had been preaching, were in fact completely true. This journey occurred in order to strengthen his resolve and prepare SAW for what was to come. Al Isra Wal Miraj was a gift from Allah SWT to the Prophet SAW because it benefitted him the most. The Isra Wal Miraj also were what led to the commandment of five daily Salaahs. However, these five daily Salaahs were all two rakaats at the time.
Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT is wearing a hijab from his creation because Allah SWT’s face has rays which, are so powerful that they would destroy anything he looks at. In this world you cannot look at Allah SWT but, in the Akhira it will be possible.
Fun Trivia fact: Some scholars consider the Al Isra Wal Miraj, to be the greatest miracle that the Prophet SAW personally received.
Fun Trivia fact: We do not know the day and month that the Al Isra Wal Miraj occurred, as it was not important.
Fun Trivia fact: Praying within the Hateem, is the same as praying within the Kabah as it was initially a part of the original Kabah but, was reduced by the Quraysh when they rebuilt the Kabah.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW only rode Al Buraq to Bayt Al Maqdis and back to Makkah. Not up to the Heavens.
Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT mentions Milk in the Qur’an.
Fun Trivia fact: Since Muhammad SAW led all of the Prophets in Salaah, this thus makes him the leader of All of the Ummahs.
Fun Trivia fact: Bayt Al-Maqdis when the Prophet SAW visited it, was a garbage dump, due to the disrespect that early Christians had for the Jewish holy temple.
Fun Trivia fact: Al Buraq has been ridden by people other than the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the past.
Fun Trivia fact: Al Buraq does not have any wings.
Fun Trivia fact: All of the 7 Samawat have a gatekeeper and a gate that Jibreel AS had to ask permission, before he could pass through them meaning this was done 7 times.
Fun Trivia fact: The order of the Prophets AS that, met Muhammad SAW in the 7 skies, were NOT based upon their levels of piety. Yet, rather they were a welcoming committee consisting of some of the noblest Prophets AS.
Fun Trivia fact: Adam AS and Ibrahim AS were the only two Prophet AS, who welcomed Muhammad SAW by calling him a “noble son”. The rest of the Prophets AS, referred the Prophet SAW as a brother.
Fun Trivia fact: When the Prophet SAW, saw Yusuf AS in the 3rd Heaven. It was here that he said that famous statement that, “it was as if Prophet Yusuf AS was given half of all beauty”.
Fun Trivia fact: Yahya AS mother, is the sister of Maryam AS.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophets AS are in their graves praying, with the only exception being ISA AS who was raised. The Prophet SAW, saw Musa AS praying Salaah in his grave, during the journey to Bayt Al Maqdis.
Fun Trivia fact: The Baitul Ma’mur was created long before the Kabah on the earth and every day 70,000 angels visit it.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW had to have an audience with Allah SWT above the Samawat for the Salaah to be established. This never happened for Hajj or Zakat or fasting which, shows how Salaah is the most important act.
Fun Trivia fact: Even though Muslims do 5 Salaahs. The reward is equal to doing 50.
Fun Trivia fact: Only 3 Prophets AS spoke to Allah SWT. Adam, Musa and Muhammad SAW.
Fun Trivia fact: There is no living creature beyond the Sidrat Al Muntaha. This means that, the Prophet SAW went to a level during the ascension that no living creature has been too before.
Fun Trivia fact: The Sidrat Al Muntaha ends in Jannat Firdaus and the throne of Allah SWT is above it
Fun Trivia fact: The angel Malik is mentioned once in the Qur’an
Fun Trivia fact: Ibrahim AS gave Salaam to the entire Muslim Ummah on Al Isra Wal Miraj and advised the Ummah to, do much zikr in order to gain rewards in Jannah.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW, saw Dajjal during Al Isra Wal Miraj and Dajjal had a left bloated eye.
Fun Trivia fact: Every person has a personal Malak Al Maut, meaning an angel whose sole purpose for existence, is to take a person’s soul once their time is up. This type of Malak Al Maut is different to the Arch Angel Malak Al Maut.
Fun Trivia fact: Each person has 4 angels with them at all times from birth to death. There are the two honourable scribes and the two who protect a person from anything except what Allah SWT has decreed for that person.
Fun Trivia fact: Doing good deeds can increase your life-span. Doing dua’s can repel calamities. Doing sins can cause you not to receive provisions. All this is according to a Hadith of the Prophet SAW.
Fun Trivia fact: Qadar means destiny. Qadr is that which has been destined.
Fun Trivia fact: There are 5 levels of Qadar:
1.Qadar Al Azzali: This is the Qadar that Allah SWT wrote 50,000 years prior to the creation of anything. This is written on the preserved tablet and cannot be changed at all.
2.Allah SWT made a divine decree when all of humanity testified that Allah SWT is our lord. This occurred prior to humanities earthly life.
3.Lifetime Qadar: This is written down by Allah SWT, for each child when they are in the womb of their mothers. Allah SWT will decree their life-spans, actions and whether they will go to Jannah or Jahannam.
4.Yearly Qadar: Laylatal Qadr is this type of Qadr. Where Allah SWT on the night of power, will send down the destinies of his creation for the next year.
5.The Daily Qadar: Allah SWT decrees the daily actions of his creation.
The Daily and Yearly Qadar’s can change. But, this change has already been documented in the Preserved Tablet meaning that, Allah SWT knew this change was going to happen. It’s just the angels and creation that did not know.
Fun Trivia fact: A shaheed does not live in Jannah but, is rather flying in the skies of Jannah as a green bird. This is because Muhammad SAW will be the first person to enter Jannah after Qiyamah, after Adam AS initially left.
Fun Trivia fact: There are no narrations of there ever being a murtad during the Makkan era of Islam.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series.
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it.
You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.

These quraish people man! How many signs and miracles do they want for them to believe?! Every time something happens, they say it's magic! How stupid. I feel sorry for our prophet Muhammad ﷺ I can't imagine how hard it was for him to see people ridicule him and not believe him. May Allah give him maqam almahnoud.
You said only Adam experience Janna before Prophet Muhammad ( saw), what about Hawa (Eve)? What she not with Adam in Janna?
The journey and the description looks to me had a message too from god for humanity- heaven and hell were described and the people burning and having punishment in a particular manner like scratching are more figurative (and maybe symbolic) messages for wrong doers!
