Generic content speaks for itself, creativity is the key, that's where you have to go, take advantage of the resources and create something for yourself. The tutorials are good! But for practice. I agree with your thought!
Another reason is that you need lots of things on your CV, I did some part time internships at small companies in the early stages of my career and believed this really helped. It can be scary but sening out CVs and portfolios to every design company in your area could be useful
That's my case. I don't have a proud portfolio yet, but I'm working to get there. Thanks for your thoughts. Sometimes people need to hear, even if they say it's not a fact. For example, I'm doing a lot of tutorials to learn how the creative process works, but I'm struggling to do my own projects because I'm stuck. However, I found a lot of challenges from professionals to help people like me get started on our portfolios. So... I'm trying.
Thanks for sharing! And I hope I didn’t discourage you, it looks like you’re definitely on the right track! A good tip to come up with free work is thinking about who your dream client would be! For example; is there an artist out there that you’d love to design their next album cover for? Or maybe rebrand your favorite restaurant or festival? The closer it is to your personal interest, the higher your motivation! Best of luck!
I'm not getting any clients because your work is so immaculate, i simply can't compete >:(
Kidding love your designs, keep it up
