It's fun to think that Morgana won by a single point when she got a bonus point in episode one for calling Alex a "little fucker"

Oh my gosh imagine if she didn't and they would have to do a tiebreak to see who wins the series!
The one-two hit of Alan's Wow Monster and Gus's almost pathetic growling made me laugh so much watching it live that it dislodged something in my chest and gave me coughing fit I was still feeling hours later. Genuinely one of the best live tasks they've ever done.
I still think the best live task of Ed Gamble getting genuinely frustrated at David Baddiel will take some considerable beating xD
Morgana’s monster was pretty hilarious too, but Alan’s is just next level. Even the way Alex introduces it like a very polite figure skating announcer. “They’re at the front… and here comes the noise: ooooOOHWWOOOOW!!”

@@georgercop I have to see that again. When I think of Ed Gamble I think of the heavy-metal serenade, that was quite a season.
Alan's monster impression was hilarious...so fitting to have a real out loud laugh at the end of a brilliant series...just wish it didn't go by so fast.. :)

I say again: I would love to be a fly on the wall when Victoria and David watch Taskmaster together. His reactions would have been great. This episode features an endearing declaration of her love for David Mitchell, Lucky bastard.
In the UK, the episode was followed by a short preview of the next series....with the names of cast revealed...
Those taking part ins series 13 are stand-up, actor, and author Ardal O’Hanlon, comedian Bridget Christie, and actress and podcaster Sophie Duker.
They'll be joined by comedians, TV hosts and former Strictly Come Dancing stars Chris Ramsey and Judi Love.
However, before then, there will be another "champion of champions". Later this year.
It will welcome back Series 6 to 10 winners Liza Tarbuck, Kerry Godliman, Lou Sanders, Ed Gamble and Richard Herring as they return to battle it out for the ultimate Taskmaster title.
I know and like the next series contestants, but especially Sophie Duker and Bridget Christie. I predict Sophie will win, she's a clever cookie.
Looks like Season 13 will be the first season where I have never even heard of any of the contestants, but I'm sure I'll quickly come to like them as much as I did prior contestants that I was unfamiliar with before the show. Definitely looking forward to the second champion of champions series.
@@markissleepy Since you don't know any of the five, you have some treats in store. They're very talented and have good senses of humour.
I suspect that I'll check out each of them briefly before Series 13 begins. Chris and Judi sound familiar from an episode or two of WILTY, but I can't picture them at all. Maybe I'll do little 'first impression' videos of each of them... thoughts?

Wait. Isn't Judi Love one of those massively annoying Loose Women? If so... ugh.
Is Ramsay a radio deejay? I have a super vague memory of some moron British Deejay with either that name or something close.
So if true I take back saying I know nobody. But what I DO know isn't good.
Well-deserved winner, but this has to be one of the best line-ups ever. Great mix of funny, sexy, inept and crazy - often in the same person. This show shows no sign of running out of steam and the games, sorry tasks, were as good as ever they have been. Your reactions have been the icing on the cake. Thanks!

I don't think it was shown here but Alex confessed that they kept Guz's drink in the fridge before they gave it to him. No one else's 😂

I love how they did highlights for everyone's drinking task, for Desiree, they showed it in real time and it was the shortest clip.
I somehow just knew she was going to smash it.
I was surprised she was the only one who did it like that though....that seemed like the easiest task and Victoria was disastrously hilarious
Winning matters on virtually no level, but because she's a brilliantly hilarious person I'd never heard of before (and I know a lot of UK talent-- I knew every other cast member) I'm glad Morgana won.
In the UK we had a trailer for the next series straight after this aired. One of the contestants, Ardal O'Hanlon, had a major role in very funny 90s sitcom called Father Ted. Which is worth checking out if you want to prepare for the next series!
He was good in Death in Paradise too (Caribbean murder mystery series).
I've been refreshing my feed waiting for this video. Neil, I have been loving watching this season with you. Feels like I'm watching it with a friend. Even considering watching Lost again!

Bravo! What a fantastic final episode of a great series! Taskmaster seems to be getting better and better as it spreads out in the world. I have only been watching Kongen Befaler on UA-cam, and so far I've loved it.
Please don't skip on Taskmaster NZ season 1, I think it's worth a check out too!

I love Taskmaster Norway, just be aware that some of the translations are a little inaccurate, and because of this there are some tasks where at first I thought either someone broke the rules in a task, or that they were scored unfairly. But once it was clarified by Norwegian speakers, I realized that it was simply a phrase or word that didn't translate well into English. So definitely read the comments after you watch so you don't make the same mistake. It's such an entertaining version of Taskmaster, I'm really enjoying season 4 which is currently airing. (Fully translated episodes are posted on Reddit each week, and they do a really good job of explaining cultural nuances and correcting translation errors in the comments over there.)
How many different versions are there around the world now? USA, NZ, Norway - why no Canadian Taskmaster, Canada must have more comics per head of population than anywhere. Not that contestants have to be from the country it's made in, of course.
@@frankshailes3205 I'm surprised they don't have TM Canada or Australia yet. Right now there's NZ, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Croatia. Spain, Belgium, and Germany had versions that failed like the US. NZ and Norway are the best of the international versions.
I'm still wiping tears from my eyes after Alan's monster impression.
Just the fact that Alex was loosing it so much in that last task!! 😅🤣

Great final task. The more simple the task the better it seems to be. I suppose there is more room for variety with fewer instructions/rules.
What the drinking task tells you about Desiree is that she's done quite a few drinking competitions in her time. It's actually pretty easy if you're someone that can down a pint of beer.

It was a great series. A couple of the tasks showed up in the UA-cam series 'No More Jockeys' (except the chocolate button was a bottle top) which is worth a watch, it has Alex, Tim Key & Mark Watson.
When did they start adding tasks? I remember watching the first few but lost interest.
@@stingersplash not so much tasks more the inspiration, in one episode they played around trying to drink with their mouths open and another moving a bottle cap from head to mouth although that was mainly Tim and Alex.
The drinking task genuinely confused me for ages because, like Desiree, I can literally just swallow with my mouth open and thought that everyone could do it 😂😂😂

For me, I'll change Morgana's to the 'little fucker' in Episode 1
This season was great. Yes I was a little disappointed there weren’t many lateral thinking opportunities. But I loved all 5 contestants just putting everything in to it. They were all really funny. Morgana was my fave though and as someone who has clearly seen the show, she deserved the win.

I've been able to do what Desere does with the drink since I was about 12.
For first time since series five, the person I wanted to win, won.
Fantastic episode and series, best yet I think! Morgana deserved her win, excellent in live tasks, almost threw it with the prizes.
Amazingly she only won 1 episode. Guz won 4 and lost a 5th on a tie.
Wow so if Greg took a second and thought about it, he would of picked Morgana over Deserie and the series would be tied? We were so close to a series tiebreaker
Put another way - Morgana calling Alex a little fucker basically won her the show because of her bonus point!

Taskmaster Norway is really good. I'm not sure quite how well it will come across on a reaction video, as it might be harder to understand.
The lineup is really good. Took me until someone pointed it out that two of the contestants were the guys who made the song What does the fox say.
There's plenty of studio banter, plus the prize task they have each contestant present their item in person rather than looking at a picture.
There are no team tasks unfortunately, but there's several times where one contestant will guess how another one does the task which is nearly always right.
There's a fair amount of reused tasks, although most have slight differences. Regardless it's still fun.
The Taskmaster himself Atle, looks and acts the part perfectly, and I think you'll like him more than Jeremy.
The assistant Olli is okay, he never seems as downtrodden as Alex or Paul which I grew to like as it's something different. Plus he never seems to help the contestants as much as Alex does which does make the contestants the focus more.
I loved Morgana’s song of the siren themed irresistible proposal. And I think as Victoria felt so uncomfortable, she could have done it as a crazy character. 🧜♀️
You can very easily drink with your mouth open. Just people don't normally do it.
People tend to use their mouth being closed to prevent air to be sucked into the lungs and have the water do the wrong way.
You can voluntry close your epiglottis and still drink with mouth ooen
VCM that rolled up paper was very erotic and how beautiful she said so besotted by her husband she couldn't even flirt. What a beautiful lady

Don't know if it been suggested before but you could take a look at Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled .
If you like Alan Davies then you should watch as yet untitled, which is him sitting round a table with 4 other comedians discussing aspects of their life, it is hilarious

Morgana definitely deserves to win although I'm glad it was close (except Victoria of course).
You should watch season 1 of Taskmaster NZ if you haven't, I'd say it felt alot fairer than with Matt heath. Even though one of the contestants was Paul's brother.

Hi Morgan. Unfortunately, I watched all the rest of Taskmaster (save for series 9, 11 and 12) before starting Neil Talks. I'm trying to figure out the best way to revisit these series for the channel, but haven't decided on the best course of action yet.
Still crushingly disappointed that Desiree is the only contestant who can down a pint.
I’ve just tested it, and I can definitely swallow with my lips apart, but my teeth gritted… not sure if that counts as an “open mouth”
Desiree proved that her claim that she had no gag reflex was not an empty boast ;)
As a brit myself I've known every single contestant that has been on the show, the next season marks the point where I only know 1 of the comedians which worries me, hopefully it's going to do well.

In that task both Gus and Victoria were disqualified. However, had Victoria's attempt been accepted, Morgana and the others would have gotten 1 point less.
That is the difference between a victory and a tie breaker.
That is how close of a race this has been!
Also, the -5 points for doing the incorrect thing; if that task had not said "do the opposite", Desiree would have won.
Wait other people can’t drink like that? I thought that was how you chug. Plus stuff like cold OJ for some reason tastes better, pour it straight down your throat and chug lol

The drinking thing I found easy, I tried and it didn't work at first but I put my tongue on the back of my top row of teeth and it was super easy.
I'll admit I have a bit of a crush on Morganna, I will miss seeing her.

I'm gonna say, while I liked several people individually, Bob Mortimer, Tim Vine, Liza Tarbuck to name a few, this was the best overall series so far, next series doesn't look all that good, I can see it being bad, hope I'm wrong though
We had amazing streak so far I guess it's time for little slower one (like 6 between 5 and 7, for me)
I just downed a pint with my mouth open just to see if i could still neck a pint and its easy. I used to win money in downing contests at parties 😆
I was pulling for Gus but very happy Morgana won she definitely deserved it.

Not really hyped for the next series since I don't know a single person. I watched the Scandinavian ones and only liked "Kongen Befaler" and dislike the rest. As for the American one, please don't punish yourself by watching it.
Ardal O’Hanlon was the only name I recognized for Series 13. He was Dougal in Father Ted, the main character in the sitcom My Hero and the lead in the crime drama Death in Paradise.

Don't fret! As someone who has watched almost every series of TM without knowing any of the cast, I can assure you that it doesn't reduce in the least how awesome the show is.
@@NeilTalks The show is likely going to increasingly become one where the majority of contestants aren't recognizable names even in the UK, partly because there's only so many established comedians who would be willing to take part, but also because - for all Greg jokes about it being career destroying - Taskmaster has reached the status where its seen as a good platform to get national and international exposure so it's a good show for a new comic to take part in.
I hate to be that guy, but another series decided by Gregs weird generous points.
In episode 1 he gave Morgana a point for “saying little fucker to Alex” right in the first task. Wasnt even a pitty point, she did well in the task. Dont get me wrong, I like Morgana, but that point was so not deserved and to have it decide the series is upsetting.
So much of the judging is random anyway so it doesn’t bother me
To be fair, Morgana also earned two bonus points by getting one of her teammates to say the word "Submarine" in the solve the riddle task from episode 4, so you could argue that won the series for her rather than the bonus point from episode 1.
Without that there'd have been a tie-breaker. Which Morgana would've won.

In Britain no-one gets upset by who wins or loses. "It's not the winning or losing, it's how you play the game" is our motto. And it's the taking part that counts. That's our other motto. Plus as Guz said to his partner here after the marriage proposal task, "it's just a game show".
I love Taskmaster, although i would not watch this season again.
Many other seasons were much better. Imho.
